Summary
"They’re not far from the druid camp now. Merlin can feel the magic heavy in each and every tree, in the ground beneath them and the breeze that turtles his hair. He feels it in his veins, like life itself. He loves this feeling. It makes him feel alive and bold and proud. It makes him feel connected with the earth and with his magic. It makes him feel like Emrys, which is difficult when the majority of the time he is a clumsy servant named Merlin."
Arthur is trying to make peace with magic and he is invited to celebrate the solstice with the druids. He brings Merlin along, and Merlin has to figure out how to keep his secret when he's in a place where everyone knows him as Emrys and Arthur doesn't even know he has magic.

“And I’m Merlin.” Merlin scratches his armpit.

“Oh. I’m the Court Jester.”

Summary
Arthur had not been raised to be comfortable with showing affection. Or just showing how he felt, full stop. Emotions were, for the most part, something of a mystical entity; something he dealt with internally but never shared.
Until he met Merlin.
In which Arthur overcomes his fear of expressing emotion, and explores his relationship with Merlin through the love language of physical touch.
