The door across the room opens, and in steps Clint and Natasha. "There's blood on my hands," she weakly mumbles and frowns when Clint flinches. Behind them enters a young Hispanic man that Darcy faintly remembers from the previous day, his kind smile greeting her. "I remember you."
The two Avengers say nothing and it's the newbie who crouches before her. "I'm Scott McCall. I'm the alpha of the McCall pack."

Summary
In the fifteen-hundred or so years since Arthur's death, Merlin has lived a very full life. Having regained a youthful spark, the immortal sorcerer has traveled the world and seen a great many things. Though he still ultimately lives in the shadows. Then SHIELD Director Nick Fury finds the AVALON file that former Director Margaret Carter started when she noticed her wartime spy partner appear throughout history. He has a feeling that this mysterious figure would be a perfect candidate for the Avengers Initiative.
Now Emrys has joined the Avengers. While some things remain the same, this old story has gone through quite a bit of a change.

“By the Force?” Ned asked hopefully.
Luke blinked at him. He pointed at the glass sliding door which revealed Obi-Wan holding Junior the cat above his head by the kitchen sink.
“By the Force,” he said.
Ned’s face fell.
(Peter accidentally flirts with a drunk Luke Skywalker in the middle of an identity crisis. He then becomes involved with a bunch of people who might actually be more chaotic than him and decides to help out the best he can.)

“Uhh, Mr. Stark?” Peter said.
“What is it, Spiderman? You okay?”
“I’m fine but…I think we might have a ghost fighting on our side.”
“Impossible.” Thor interrupted. “Ghosts hate the living.”
“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

Summary
Behind Bruce is the rest of his team. Superman is scouring the skies above and Diana and Aquaman are using their strength to clear the rubble out of the road. To the side of him is the Flash talking fast and loud about the battle to a less than impressed Cyborg- looking on ahead, unmoved with his hood up.
Tony could wait longer for a response, could probably needle the man some more because, honestly, the guy looks like a grumpy cat who could do with some pushing, but he takes his cue to leave with some grace this time around. Something about seeing their team work cohesively and amiably together stings- that they should prosper where he had tried so desperately, over and over again, and failed anyways. No, he can’t stay any longer. He can already tell that he’s a little much for them, and what’s new? That’s true for everybody he meets.
He does a two finger salute before the face plate closes back on him, “Well, it was nice talking to you guys. See you when the next big bad tries to kill us all again.”
(Or, how Tony Stark helps Cyborg, inadvertently joins the Justice League, and quits the Avengers.)
