Summary
I decided to write my own version of how the fragment "The Watsons" by Jane Austen could have ended.
Emma Watson was one of six children born to loving, though poor, parents. She was taken away from her family at the age of five to be raised as the heir of her aunt and uncle; however, fourteen years later, she found herself once again returned to her family as a well-educated young woman without a penny to her name. Now, Emma has to learn how to live in a less refined company company and style than she has been used to while also getting to know the family from whom she has been so long estranged.
With the goal to make a place for herself either through marriage or employment all while suffering from the fears of betrayal, abandonment, and future homelessness, how will Emma cope with her new circumstances? Will she be able to bond with the family who threw her off all those years ago? Will the man she has chosen choose her in return? Will she ever find a place for herself? Find out in this completion of Jane Austen's unfinished fragment "The Watsons".
