Summary
“Our savior!” A voice calls from the trees. The cloaked figures all begin to raise their hands, bursting into a chant of ancient tongue that Lucifer hadn’t heard in ages.
“Haven’t seen you lot since the 1900s,” Lucifer drily remarks as he and Charlie unsteadily rise to their feet.
“Our prayers are answered! Our calls are heed!” In a wave of motion, the figures drop to the dirt in full bows.
“…oh,” Charlie squeaks, her voice shrinking as she realizes. “We’ve been summoned?”
“We’ve been summoned,” Lucifer echoes.
In the midst of the Grand Re-Opening of the Hotel, Lucifer and Charlie suddenly disappear. Turns out demonic cults still exist and see no qualms in yanking the King and Princess from their very important work. At least the human realm is pretty.
