Summary
Bruce and Tim are getting suspicious of a new face at the Gotham galas.
Vlad Masters has a shady history of impossible deals to get his riches and a godson whose health seems to get worse every time he is seen outside the Master's Manor. Jason and Dick are sent into the Manor during a major Gala that Vlad will be at but his godson is apparently too ill to go.
Jason volunteered because he wants to make sure the kid is okay and get him away from the creepy and possessive Vlad. Dick wants to know why the kid looks familiar, like Jason did before the Pits changed him.

Summary
Danny's heart beat a million times a second as he hurried through the crowd gathered around the wine bar.
He had finally managed to get away. He had been trying to escape Vlad for so long, and in the end all it had taken was a crowded gala and Vlad getting caught up in a conversation with a potential “business partner”, and Danny was able to slip away from his place standing like a trophy at Vlad's side.
But Danny wasn't out of danger yet.

By the end of the week, Danny wasn’t sure what kind of asylum he’d crawled into.
The butler tried to feed him. (He didn’t eat human food anymore. The man looked so sad when Danny refused the soup that Danny almost felt guilty.)
Someone strung up crosses in the attic. (Danny ignored them. But when they brought up putting in Christmas lights? He hissed on instinct and nearly melted through the floorboards.)
The angry sword kid tried to evict him again. Danny iced him into a snowdrift in the corner. (Not his fault if he kept coming back.)
The insomniac came back with a stethoscope, for some reason. He pressed it against the casket lid and muttered about “no heartbeat.” Danny gave one loud, dramatic snore in response.
All Danny wanted was one thing. Just one.
Sleep.
Was that so hard?
Apparently, in this house, yes.
Or,
Danny just wanted a nap, but instead he got a nosy family and a stuffed bat named Steve.
