The Guides
Betsy Dobson is, in a world of untrustworthy adults and faulty systems, the most renowned and accepted psychiatrist of Exy. From frustrated pre-meds to exhausted stars, she acts as their primary therapist without any judgment. Despite this, much of the work has to be done by the players themselves, which means she must administer some form of recommended coping mechanism to ensure that they remain, at least mostly, mentally well. This usually takes the form of journaling.
Or, Betsy Dobson giggles in her office while she knowingly administers the same coping mechanism to each player, knowing damn well that they're all separate individuals.

Summary
“Journaling,” Betsy Dobson had told Aaron in a recent session, “is a great method of expressing your feelings without any pressure. I understand how vulnerable it can seem, and it may be unappealing at first, but I recommend you at least give it a try. I find it’s a good place to start.”
Aaron stared at the lined paper in front of him and scowled. Without thinking, he picked up the uncapped pen lying beside the journal and began writing. His hand moved before he could second-guess himself, ink flowing from the pen in just-legible cursive. When he was done, he underlined the sentence harder than necessary.
Aaron Minyard’s Step-By-Step Guide to Not Going Insane
Or, Aaron Minyard tries journaling for the first time, attempting to follow Bee's advice. He doesn't enjoy the idea, but with exams, a twin brother who won't talk to him, and his newfound freedom to date his girlfriend and form new friendships, he's willing to add an extra problem into the mix.
