Summary
Gi-Hun is a young student living in rural Korea who dreams of becoming a model. After finishing high school, he is accepted into medical school in Seoul, forcing him to move with his mother, not only to study but also to start a new life after his father's betrayal. Knowing the high cost of living in the capital, Gi-Hun sees an opportunity to fulfill his dream by working at a modeling agency. However, the projected work is much more than just walking the runway and posing in front of cameras.
In-Ho is an extremely successful businessman, owner of a multinational holding company that gives him access to everything money can buy, from private events to the most perfect faces in Seoul. Yet, despite having the world at his feet, he felt empty. As if something, or someone, was missing.

Summary
Slowly, he pushes back the hood of his topcoat and unclips the strap behind his head. Player 456 sits up straighter as he does, watching with intense curiosity and burning hatred. In-ho focuses hard on the man’s face, cataloguing each breath, each microexpression, determined to memorize the look on the man’s face as he reveals his treachery. Once In-ho’s eyes are uncovered, he sees the jolt of understanding hit. He watches, rapt, as a succession of shock, confusion, denial, and finally, fury, crosses the man’s face. In-ho grips the firearm still in his hand and braces again for attack, but the precaution is unnecessary. As quickly as the fury had come, it, too, went, replaced by something like resignation, like defeat. Yes, he thinks, defeat.
In-ho is determined to break player 456 by any means necessary, but as the lines between pain and pleasure begin to blur, so too do the lines between captor and captive.

Summary
He thought he was ready to go back to his job as the Frontman after allowing himself to play the games under a different name. Turns out, In-ho underestimated the pull player 456 still had on him. He was supposed to be punishing Gi-hun for his hero games gone wrong, but instead, when things take a dramatic turn, In-ho finds himself nursing him back to health. The tension between them grows thicker by the hour. And though there's a lot of rage in this tension that builds up, they quickly find out that there's a lot of chemistry, too.

The 2023 games are starting and In-Ho has a suggestion...
"Hey, how about we make this more interesting?" In-Ho said, voice thick.
"What did you have in mind?" Gi-Hun replied, curiously.
"I take you over this sofa, a thrust per shot." In-Ho grinned, playful mischief in his eyes.
"...You're crazy" Gi-Hun stared at him stunned.
In-Ho rushed to take it back, and make light of the suggestion, "I was just kidding really, we don't-"
"I didn't say 'no'," Gi-Hun interrupted, "can you keep up?"Series
