In the midst of summer where the sun is at its peak, Taehyung is lying down on the grass with Hoseok and Jimin seated on both of his sides. Taehyung can feel his clothes clinging sweatily on his skin and he feels icky but he's tired and that's the least of his concern. However, Taehyung can't chase his slumber when his friends are bickering about some comic book characters back and forth.
Taehyung opens his eyes and sees the ray of sunlight peeking through the leaves from the tree above and he groans before he sits up as he glares at his two friends.
“Can you guys shut up,” Taehyung states.
“No, we can't, this is a very important discussion,” Jimin says dramatically.
Taehyung rolls his eyes and scoffs under his breath, he moves to lie down on the other side that is not between his friends so they can continue their argument without Taehyung needing to hear it.
“Seriously how can you sleep in this heat,” Taehyung hears Hoseok says before he continues to divulge himself in sleep sleep sleep.
But before Taehyung lets himself fall completely into the hands of slumber, he hears Hoseok lets out a shriek and it startles him awake. "What the fuck hyung?" Taehyung says irritated. He just wants to nap for god's sake.
"Okay, rude, but look!" Hoseok points his finger and Taehyung has very little intention to follow where his gesture is directed. "That guy is hot!"
Curiosity kills the cat anyway and Taehyung follows where Hoseok's finger is pointed. Jimin is already looking ahead and his reaction is nonchalant. When Taehyung's eyes landed on the hot guy, Taehyung is now 110% awake, because hot damn, that is not a guy but an angel walking this earth gracing it with his beauty. He's wearing a tank top that shows off his toned biceps and he's squatting down, playing with a puppy and Taehyung is soft with anyone who plays with puppy. The guy is smiling down at said puppy looking like everything is all well and beautiful in this world because puppies.
Taehyung smacks Hoseok's side and the latter lets out a guttural moan. "Okay, what the hell, that hurts asshole!"
"But oh my god hyung, look at him!" Taehyung gestures his hand towards the guy as if to make a point.
"I'm amazed how your mood changes in a millisecond, not sleepy now are you?" Jimin states looking smug.
"You," Taehyung points at Jimin, "shut up." Taehyung looks ahead again and the guy is still playing with the lucky puppy but this time he's snuggling the puppy close to his chest and Taehyung is weak. "Oh my god he's so hot and cute, a literal angel!"
"I told you that guy is hot," Hoseok says.
"And cute, an angel!" Taehyung adds.
"But my boyfriend is hotter," Jimin retaliates, sounding proud and Taehyung does best what Taehyung does best, he ignores him and continues to stare at the hot guy although Taehyung knows it's creepy because he knows very well that it's creepy and he is not creepy but he can't help it when mother nature decides to splash its ray of sunlight on the guy and Taehyung thinks, definitely an angel.

It's a week after that Taehyung bumps into hot guy again and Taehyung thinks he has grown out of what he has dubbed fascination or a silly crush but all goes down the drain when he sees hot guy again. Taehyung doesn't bump into hot guy per say but close enough. It's almost midnight and Taehyung is dared by his friends, Jimin to be precise, to go to the convenience store and buy him beers and ice cream on the side. Taehyung thinks it's not so much of a dare but more of a demand but Taehyung doesn't mind since Jimin could easily dared him to do stupid stuffs that Taehyung will regret when morning comes. Taehyung is thankful to every deity that Jimin didn't.
It starts like this, Taehyung enters the convenience store and goes straight to where the beer is and Taehyung is going to grab some cans and then go to the ice cream section and then straight toward the cashier. But in the midst of filling the small basket with drinks, there's a guy next to him grabbing onto a can of beer at the same time he's grabbing the same tin. Taehyung is surprised and he turns his head to the side and holy damn if Taehyung's heart didn't leap out of his chest the first time he sees the guy from afar, now that he's this close, his eyes has been blessed and Taehyung's heart threatens to leap out of his chest.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Hot guy says as he pulls his hand away from the can. "I didn't realize," hot guy smiles and Taehyung is weak, he feels soft and he's weak.
Taehyung is still stupidly holding onto the can, "oh no worries, you can have this," Taehyung says, holding out the can of beer toward the guy.
"Oh no, it's okay," hot guy hands come up, "there's still a lot of those here," hot guy gestures his head on the fridge filled with the same can of beers of the same brand. Taehyung mentally smacks his head.
"Right," Taehyung says trying to sound cool but fails miserably at it. "I'm just gonna go," Taehyung says without thinking as he puts the can inside his basket and scurries away from the guy. But Taehyung doesn't miss the guy giving him a soft smile, almost shy.
When Taehyung arrives at his place with a plastic bag filled with beers and seeing Yoongi sprawled on the couch with Jimin while Hoseok battles with zombies on his Xbox, Taehyung realizes too late that he forgot about the ice cream.
"I told you to also get ice cream," Jimin states unhappily when he rummages through the plastic bag and is disappointed that there's no ice cream.
"Ok but hear me out!" Taehyung says dramatically, "I saw an angel and he smiled at me and my heart became weak and forgot about your stupid ice cream." Taehyung huffs and moves to plop himself down on the couch, Yoongi stands up quickly before he gets squished by Taehyung.
Hoseok's attention is not on the tv screen now as he whips his head to glance at Taehyung with questions in his eyes, "the hot guy that we saw at the park?"
Taehyung groans into the cushion.
"What hot guy?" Yoongi asks curiously as he sits down on the floor next to his boyfriend while sipping on beer.
Taehyung groans into the cushion and thinks that answers enough.
"He is whipped," Taehyung hears Jimin says.

Summer is coming to an end and Seokjin being Seokjin treats his group of friends at one of the restaurant that he favored. Taehyung likes food, more so when it's free and he clears up his schedule immediately, not like he has many plans this summer anyway. The new semester is starting and Taehyung dreads that the day looms closer.
Seokjinnie Hyung: For everyone's sanity before the new semester starts, excluding Namjoon and Yoongi who is already dreading every day because of work. Everyone is invited to Seokjin's treat at BBQ Fresh Restaurant on Saturday night!
Hoseok Hyung: Sweet!!!!!!
Jimin: Hyung you're the best!
Tae: Count me the fuck in!
Namjoon hyung: I really needed that man!
Seokjinnie Hyung: Also! FYI, i'm bringing my baby cousin because he's starting a semester at the college you guys are in
Seokjinnie Hyung: and he's shy so i wanna give him a head start so he at least knows some people before starting, so he won't get scared!
Tae: okay hyung, does your baby cousin appreciate you babying him this much
Seokjinnie Hyung: Jeongguk loves me
When Seokjin says shy, Taehyung expects his baby cousin to be a tiny nerd with too huge glasses that covers almost half of his face. What he didn't expect when he enters the restaurant with Jimin in tow while the rest of his friends are already seated on one of the tables that Seokjin has reserved , Taehyung's eyes widen when he sees the all too familiar guy sitting beside Seokjin. It's the hot guy, that hot guy.
"Sorry we're late," Jimin says as he takes an empty seat right beside Yoongi and Taehyung is still rooted in one place, too shock to move. By then Jimin already sees the hot guy and he whips his head and gives Taehyung a smug look.
Taehyung shakes out of his trance and moves to sit right next to Hoseok. The latter kicks his leg under the table and Hoseok doesn't have to say anything because he knows and realizes too late that he's sitting right across from the hot guy. This dinner will go down in history and Taehyung is sure he'll embarrass himself one way or another.
"Okay, now that everyone's here," Seokjin announces, "this is my baby cousin that I told you all about!" Seokjin talks like one of those announcers that blares through the speakers in campus reciting one of those important announcements. "His name is Jeongguk and Jeongguk," Seokjin glances at Jeongguk who has an awkward smile on his face. "These are all my friends and these three, Jimin, Hoseok and Taehyung," he points. When Jeongguk briefly makes eye contact with Taehyung, he visibly gulps. "They're in the same college you are going to enroll in."
Jeongguk's smile becomes wider and Taehyung is momentarily blinded. "Hi, it's nice to meet all of you," he says while waving his hand awkwardly up in the air.
Taehyung smiles briefly not trusting his voice to blurt out anything while Hoseok and Jimin exchanges a friendly greeting. He can feel both Hoseok and Jimin's eyes on him but he busies himself by playing around with his phone. The rest of dinner is uneventful when Taehyung manages to do anything besides looking forward and avoiding his gaze anywhere near Jeongguk. He's quiet and Taehyung being quiet is something odd so when Jeongguk excuses himself to use the restroom, Seokjin speaks out, "Taehyung why are you being quiet?"
Taehyung's about to open his mouth but Jimin beats him to it, "he has the hots for your cousin ever since he sees him at the park a few weeks ago!"
Taehyung looks at Jimin and if looks could kill Jimin is long dead. "I don't have the hots for Seokjin's cousin!" There's actually no point in denying when it's already out in the open anyway, but it doesn't hurt to try.
"He's cute though!" Namjoon shoots from somewhere. And if they are in a situation where Jeongguk, the hot guy, isn't Seokjin's cousin he would nod his head furiously, agreeing wholeheartedly to Namjoon's statement and maybe add a he's a literal angel gracing this earth with his beauty! But this is not the situation and Taehyung can feel his face warm in embarrassment.
"Awwwwwww," Seokjin just says, "do you want me to give you a head start?"
"No hyung please don't! I don't want to be embarrassed!" Taehyung rejects quickly and Jimin is laughing in between his sips of beer while Hoseok is already snickering beside him and Yoongi, being Yoongi couldn't care less about the situation while eating his meat like the world doesn't matter.
Before Seokjin could say anything, Taehyung stretches his leg to kick Seokjin's feet or knee from under the table because Jeongguk is on his way toward their table. Seokjin winces in pain but that shuts him up in time before his mouth could spew something that might blow away his cover.
Dinner goes smoothly as smoothly as it can go.

Seokjin does almost blow away his cover but Taehyung manages to fix the damage before any further damage could be done.
It happens when Taehyung is scrolling down on his twitter feed that same night of that uneventful dinner with Jeongguk and sees Jimin tweeting about it. At least Jimin is being subtle, but when Jimin tags him on a tweet he has to reply in order to shut him up.
And it goes like this:

And when Seokjin mindlessly tagged Jeongguk into that conversation, Taehyung immediately privatized his twitter with the speed of a lightning.
Fucking Seokjin hyung but a part of him, although feeling like his chest could fall down to his stomach, clicks on Jeongguk's username and spends the rest of the night away scrolling through an angel's twitter feed.

Taehyung knows that whatever happens on the internet will stay on the internet but not his case. He's not famous and he hopes no one is creepy enough to screenshot his embarrassing tweets about a certain angel. He deletes all of his embarrassing tweets about that certain angel and unlocks his twitter back, just because. Taehyung always reminds himself not to be a creep and stalk Jeongguk's timeline but it's impossible to say the least, because he would really like to know what Jeongguk does on a daily basis, he barely tweets anything but when he does, Taehyung feels his heart lights up as if he can hear Jeongguk's voice through the screen.
Seokjin still doesn't let the fact that he has the hots for his cousin die because on almost a daily basis, Seokjin will, text him about Jeongguk. I can set you up on a date with my precious baby cousin. It always starts like that and Taehyung somehow has become immune to it but what he isn't immune to is when he mindlessly scrolls back up Jeongguk's twitter profile and sees that he has a new tweet that says, here's an attempt of me trying to cover dear no one, enjoy! with a link to a soundcloud account below it. Taehyung is both ecstatic and scared. But Taehyung likes pain so he clicks on the link and when the first note that comes out of his phone speaker blares through his senses, Taehyung feels like dying a beautiful death because the angel can sing. Jeongguk can sing and that ups his scale from hot to super duper and highly attractive and all that is good in the world.
Jeongguk sings like an angel and maybe Taehyung is stupid for not learning his lesson but a second after being blessed by Jeongguk's beautiful voice he expresses his feelings in a tweet.

After losing count to how many times he replayed Jeongguk's cover of dear no one, and feels his heart threatening to burst out in fondness, Taehyung takes a jump as he clicks the follow button and mentally curses himself in his head but what's done is done. As if Taehyung feels like he hadn't done enough, he takes a fucking leap when he mentions Jeongguk.

And Taehyung feels like throwing his phone across the room but minutes after, he receives a notification from JK. Saying that his eyes nearly pulled out of its socket is an understatement and if he ever doubts that dreams do come true, his doubt is thrown into the deepest ocean when he receives another notification that JK followed you.

Taehyung is sad when summer comes to an end and marks the start of a new semester. Taehyung expects that he'll be able to catch a glimpse of Jeongguk somewhere around campus but its been a week now but still, Taehyung hasn't seen Jeongguk and he's making it obvious when he's making a sad face during one of his lunch break at the cafeteria accompanied by both Jimin and Hoseok.
"Your weeping is showing," Hoseok states.
"Your longing is showing," Jimin says.
"I don't see why you're trying so hard to play the tsundere role when you can just talk to him on twitter or maybe accept Seokjin's hyung offer to set you both on a date, saves you the pain," Hoseok speaks, his spoonful of rice hangs in the air.
"I second you hyung, it'll save me the pain to hear you crying about an angel when you can just make the first move!"
Taehyung glares at both his friends, "it's not that easy."
"Course it is, do you think I'll be able to call Yoongi hyung my boyfriend if I don't make the first move."
"Don't compare your love story to my tragic love story."
Jimin laughs, "damn, you are so whipped."
As if Taehyung doesn't know that already.

Taehyung realizes that it's possible to miss someone that he only gets to meet properly once. Second week flies by like a speck of dust and he still hasn't seen Jeongguk around campus. The campus is big but it's possible to bump into him somewhere and somehow but no, faith is testing his patience and he misses Jeongguk so much. He doesn't know how many times he replays Jeongguk's cover of dear no one and he expects Jeongguk to upload another cover but no, that's the only cover he has ever uploaded and Taehyung is thirsty. He wants to see Jeongguk and patience isn't in Taehyung's dictionary. He's actually surprised that he manages to stay patient this long.
Seokjin's text comes just at the right time and moment.
Seokjinnie Hyung: I've heard from the little bird that you missed a certain angel.
Tae: I'm going to kill Park Jimin.
Seokjinnie Hyung: hahaha come on accept my offer to set you guys up on a date!
Taehyung: I don't want it to be obvious
Seokjinnie Hyung: okay let me rephrase that, wanna hang out with Jeongguk and I this weekend?
And Taehyung contemplates with himself for a moment, before he decides to just fuck it and replies with a yes.

When the weekend rolls in with the promise of short freedom from the clutches of college, Taehyung is panicking on what to wear to his hang out session with Seokjin and Jeongguk. Seokjin texted him that they're going to go and grab bubble tea at one of Seokjin's favorite place and Taehyung doesn't know what to wear. It takes him another half an hour to settle on something casual but still decent, decent enough to make him look a tiny bit hot. He ruffles his hair, to give off that casual vibe and he's out of his bedroom towards the living room where Jimin is sprawled lazily, clicking on the remote control mindlessly. Jimin senses his presence and turns his head when Taehyung turns the door knob.
"Where are you going?"
"To the convenience store, I want ramyun," Taehyung's brain supplies automatically because he isn't going to face Jimin's teasing right before he's seeing Jeongguk. Nope.
"Oh, cool, grab me some beers then." Jimin says nonchalantly, as he faces the tv screen back and Taehyung breaths out a sigh of relief.
When Taehyung's out the door, he hopes that Jimin will patiently wait for his beers that will never come.
The walk to Seokjin's favorite bubble tea place is only a ten minute walk by foot from where he lives and when he enters the shop, he scans for Seokjin and Jeongguk but there's still no sight of them. Taehyung thinks he's early but he's actually not and thinks of the possibility of Seokjin forgetting. He orders his drink first and when he's about to take a seat, the door rings and enters Seokjin with Jeongguk in tow. Taehyung breathes out a sigh of relief but he's also feeling the jitters. Taehyung sees the smug grin on Seokjin's face and wants nothing more to wipe that from his face.
"Sorry Taehyung we're late," Seokjin says. "I had to wait for Jeongguk because he unusually takes more time getting ready than he used to."
Taehyung thinks he catches a glimpse of Jeongguk's cheek blushing and Taehyung smiles up at him, "it's okay, I already ordered my drink."
"Jeongguk, you can sit first while I ordered for our drinks," Seokjin says suggestively, his eyes landed on Taehyung and Taehyung mentally thinks,what are you trying to do hyung, and hopes that Seokjin gets the message. Apparently Seokjin doesn't get the message as he quickly moves toward the counter before Jeongguk could say anything.
Jeongguk hesitantly takes a seat across from Taehyung and Taehyung is at a loss for words. The silence is awkward and now that Jeongguk is right in front of him, he doesn't know what to say.
Surprisingly, Jeongguk breaks the silence first, "hey," he says. "You're taengel on twitter right?" He stutters on his words slightly and Taehyung thinks cute but he is momentarily horrified when Jeongguk says his twitter username out loud because it sounds embarrassing, why can't Taehyung just simply use his real name for his handle. Screw creativity.
"Um yeah, that's me," Taehyung says sheepishly, he can feel his face is going to crack in half if he continues to smile so widely.
"Thanks for listening to my cover," Jeongguk speaks, looking everywhere but at Taehyung.
"Oh, no biggie, you have a beautiful voice by the way," Taehyung says bravely and Jeongguk's eyes is wide in surprise, "I was actually waiting for another cover from you." Taehyung continues, his voice hesitant as his fingers deftly move to stir the straw from his drink.
"Oh," Jeongguk mouths, "I was actually hesitant to post that cover because I was too embarrassed," he scratches the back of his head, "but I'm glad to know, you liked it!"
Taehyung is seriously going to die at how cute Jeongguk actually is. He wants nothing but to snuggle him and appreciate him for merely existing. Jeongguk is precious and Taehyung is weak for him. Amidst his exterior that probably screams ice prince, Jeongguk is the opposite of that. Taehyung knows there's more beyond that buff built the moment he sees Jeongguk the first time with a puppy. And you know what they say about a guy with a puppy, marry them. Probably not what they say, but definitely what Taehyung says.
"Don't have to be embarrassed," Taehyung says casually, "you are good."
"Wow, thanks, you're too kind," Jeongguk says, looking at him now with a soft smile on his features and Taehyung is long gone.
He doesn't realize that Seokjin is taking too much time on the counter when he makes an appearance and walks towards their table with two drinks in his hands. "I see you two are having fun," Seokjin says, that smug grin still on his face. He hands Jeongguk his drink and he thinks that Seokjin will take a seat with them but instead he just stands there while dramatically looking over his wrist watch as if he is late for something important. "Oh no," Seokjin gasps rather unbelievably and Taehyung knows something is up and whatever Seokjin is planning, he has to drop it right at this second. It shows on his glares but Seokjin ignores him.
"Something wrong hyung?" Jeongguk asks, looking up at Seokjin.
"I forgot to tell you both that I have a meeting to catch up to," Seokjin replies.
Of course Seokjin will pull something like that. Taehyung isn't stupid and Jeongguk isn't stupid either, it's the weekend, it's a Saturday, who does meetings on a Saturday.
"I have to go, but have fun!" Seokjin says quickly and left the shop in a flurry.
It's only Jeongguk and Taehyung left now. Taehyung lets that sink in and mentally prepares himself to not do something embarrassing, just be yourself Kim Taehyung, just be yourself.
"Huh, that's weird, hyung says he's free all day."
"Exactly Jeongguk, exactly." Taehyung says.
And it doesn't take too long before Jeongguk realizes that something is up.
"Oh no," Jeongguk says, "did hyung forced you to go on a date with me?" Jeongguk is frantic now and it seems he is this close to fleeing from the bubble tea store.
Taehyung widens his eyes because that is the last thing he expects Jeongguk to say. "No, no," Taehyung denies quickly but Jeongguk doesn't seem to hear him as he cuts him off.
"I'm sorry he did this, gosh this is awkward, I've told hyung to not be so obvious, this is fucking embarrassing!" Jeongguk slumps himself on the table.
"Wait what?" Taehyung says coherently in the midst of his jumbled up mind.
"Holy shit, did I just said that out loud," Jeongguk looks up at Taehyung in horror. "I'm sorry, you might think I'm creepy but, oh my god, I can't believe I'm saying this, but-"
"Jeongguk, you really aren't making any sense."
"But, I had a crush on you okay, and hyung knows it and hyung knows you so I'm sorry if he forces this on you."
"Jeongguk."
"But like, I understand if you don't want to see me again because I'm weird, but yeah, I like you the first time I see you lying down on the park with your friends during summer and yeah-"
"Jeongguk, okay," Taehyung speaks, trying to stop Jeongguk from babbling his way because Taehyung needs to catch his damn breath because he can't quite believe what he just heard. "You have a crush on me?"
Jeongguk nods, and he looks small and Taehyung wants to hug him.
When Taehyung imagines his love story, he doesn't expect it to turn out like this, maybe summer do has its own magic flair, people do fall in love during summers and what Taehyung thinks is just merely fascination, it is something more now. It all starts with Hoseok pointing at a hot guy and unknowingly to Taehyung, the hot guy sees him too and actually likes him back, what are the odds that the fucking odds are working in Taehyung's favor.
"Okay, wow, I like you too actually."
Jeongguk's expression is priceless and Taehyung is itching to grab his phone to capture all of his features.
When Taehyung arrives at his place that he shared with Jimin, he's greeted by a smug looking Jimin still sprawled on the couch.
"You owe me some deeds!"
Taehyung walks past the living room, smile never quite leaving his face as he throws, "I don't owe you anything," to Jimin.
Taehyung happily plops himself down on his bed once he entered his bedroom, shaking his limbs in giddiness because the thought of Jeongguk liking him back seems like a fairytale and Taehyung still can't believe it. When he lies on his back, fingers deftly scrolling through twitter and he sees Seokjin and Jimin mentioning him multiple times. Taehyung then drafts a new tweet and he feels so happy his heart could burst but he doesn't want to make it obvious still, not letting his friends have the satisfaction of knowing more than a simple tweet:

Taehyung almost loses his heart when the door to his bedroom flies open to a bewildered looking Jimin while holding up his phone.
"I can't believe we are best friends, I thought best friends tell each other everything. I had to find out that you and Jeongguk are official through twitter?" Jimin moves closer to his bed, his phone opens up to a twitter app and Taehyung expects this sort of reaction out of him.
Jeongguk and Taehyung are taking things slow. The moment Jeongguk accidentally blurts out his confession during that bubble tea hang out, Taehyung is worried on where they stand, scared that things are going too fast. They aren't quite friends yet and Taehyung doesn't know Jeongguk that much. So they are taking things slow. Taehyung finally is able to see Jeongguk around campus but that's probably because Taehyung always texts him about his whereabouts and Taehyung shouldn't be surprised that Jeongguk spends his entire free time in the silence of the library.
"So this is where you're always hiding?" Taehyung says as he takes a seat. "No wonder I haven't seen you around campus."
Jeongguk scoffs, and he seems more comfortable around Taehyung now and that's a relief. "The library isn't that bad, it's peaceful."
"Do you not eat lunch?"
"Course I do, with Yugyeom when the cafeteria is not filled with people."
Taehyung simply smiles and he doesn't mind hanging out in the library while Jeongguk does his readings, because a day spent with Jeongguk is a day well spent.
But sometimes, maybe taking things not too slow doesn't equal to a disaster so Taehyung voices out his mind when he's walking Jeongguk to his dorm building. "So, Jeongguk," Taehyung clears his throat when they arrive at Jeongguk's building. Jeongguk stops in his track, looking at Taehyung and his fringe is starting to grow out.
"Hmm?" Jeongguk says, looking at him with that look that Taehyung is always always weak for.
"Is it weird, that I want us to be official, I mean if you think it's moving way too fast, we don't have to but I don't want to wait and I'm sure of my feelings towards you so-"
"Taehyung," Jeongguk says his name in a giggle.
"Yes?"
"I don't want to wait to."
To say that Taehyung is happy is an understatement, he is the happiest human right now and he makes sure to let the whole world know. Well, his 235 twitter followers to be exact.

And of course Taehyung expects Jimin to react this way now, he expects nothing more and nothing less.
"Don't be dramatic Jimin."
"Wow, I can't even deal with you right now." Jimin moves towards the door but before he makes his dramatic exit, he looks over at Taehyung as he says, "I'm so fucking happy for you by the way."
And Taehyung is so happy that he's screaming into his pillow.

Dating Jeon Jeongguk is amazing. Nothing changes, Jeongguk is still shy at times refusing to look at Taehyung whenever Taehyung gives him compliments but he's getting bolder when it comes to wanting Taehyung's touch. Out of nowhere, Jeongguk will slip his arms around his waist and the first time Jeongguk did this, Taehyung is startled but the hold is welcome as Taehyung places his hand on Jeongguk's hands, a sign to hold him tight. Jeongguk doesn't hesitate to hold his hand when they're walking around campus and Taehyung welcomes the warmth of Jeongguk's palm without a second thought. Nothing changes, Jeongguk is still the adorable guy that he first encounters with a puppy but Jeongguk is bolder now. Snuggling up to him whenever he drops by Taehyung's place as they watch a movie that neither of them pay attention to. They're too busy soaking up in each other's warmth rather than paying attention to some fictional love story played on the screen when he has a beautiful boy right beside him.
Taehyung's sappiness increases ten fold and he blames it all on Jeongguk for being way too perfect. Screw at what they say that nobody's perfect when he's witnessed perfection right in front of his eyes and sometimes Taehyung thinks that Jeongguk is too good for him, way too good that he deserves someone much better but Taehyung doesn't let it get to him because Jeongguk has said many times at how much Taehyung makes him happy and that's all that matters.
When the credits rolls in and the ending ost is playing in the background, Taehyung turns his head and greeted by a fluff of Jeongguk's dark brown hair. "We missed the whole movie!"
"Don't care," Jeongguk says simply, sitting himself straight on the couch and rests his chin on Taehyung's shoulder.
Taehyung giggles because Jeongguk is sniffing at his neck now. "That tickles," Taehyung states and Jeongguk places a kiss on his neck before he moves away.
"I've made an important discovery," Jeongguk states and he latches himself on Taehyung, circling his arm around his neck and Taehyung plops down on the couch with Jeongguk on top of him as he peppers kisses on his neck and Taehyung laughs for a while until kisses turn into tongue meeting his skin and Taehyung lets out a moan instead.
Jeongguk is definitely bolder now, but Taehyung is not going to complain.

Taehyung knows that Jeongguk is a catch, he knows his boyfriend is drop dead gorgeous, so when Jeongguk comes to him, with his phone and his expression sour, Taehyung knows what's up.
"What's wrong babe?" Taehyung asks anyway.
Jeongguk sighs, leaning towards Taehyung's side as he pulls his phone up so Taehyung can see what's bothering him. "People has been sending me flirty dms as if they don't already know I'm taken."
"Can't blame them because come on, look at you."
Jeongguk scoffs. Taehyung is holding onto Jeongguk's phone now scrolling through his flurry of DMs and Taehyung is actually surprised at the amount of messages Jeongguk has received. "Wow, babe, I didn't know you have this many."
"I know, and I feel bad," Jeongguk slumps.
"Why should you feel bad, it's not like you give them any attention. Right?"
"Of course not, I have you already," Jeongguk says.
Taehyung can't help but to lean down and kiss Jeongguk's cheek. "You're sweet."
"Okay but listen, you do know you can set up the setting so no stranger can DM you right?"
"Wait," Jeongguk sits up, "really?"
"Yup, here," Taehyung clicks on the setting and changes the privacy. "There done, simple, now you don't have to receive any flirty DMs from stranger anymore."
"But I bet they'd still send me some through my mentions."
"Another problem for another time, now okay, these are some ridiculous pick up line you've received," Taehyung eyes Jeongguk's phone. "People actually still use that booger pick up line, oh my god."

Everything is going so well in their relationship that when something snaps, Taehyung is least expecting it which makes the pain more unbearable.
He has to know an important information regarding his boyfriend through Hoseok or maybe Taehyung is just being a bitch about it but he's mad that Jeongguk isn't telling him this piece of information when he's expected to leave in less than a week. Taehyung is more sad than furious when he walks into Jeongguk's dorm without a single knock.
"Hey, baby, what's wrong?" Jeongguk greets him and he's about to pull Taehyung into a hug but Taehyung pulls away before he has the chance to be engulfed by Jeongguk's warmth. "Is there something wrong?"
Taehyung scoffs and before Taehyung is more sad than he is furious, right now he is flat out mad because Jeongguk is acting like he has nothing to say to him. "I can't believe you are not telling me that you are leaving for Japan in less than a week!"
"Wait, how did you know that?"
"Wow, I even have to know that through Hoseok hyung," Taehyung spits out.
"Taehyung, baby," he pleads. "Listen to me, it's not what you think."
"Not what I think? Wow, okay, you are leaving in less than a week and you are not telling me, how the fuck am I going to handle long distance relationship when you're there while I'm here, actually I don't fucking care about LDR but at least tell it to my face that you are leaving. I didn't even know about your plan to study in Japan, like wow Jeon Jeongguk, maybe I don't know that much about you."
"Taehyung, you're being ridiculous, you are just assuming things, at least listen to me first-"
"Maybe this is why we shouldn't take things too fast, I somehow regret it you know."
Jeongguk is slapped into silence but Taehyung can't stop his mouth from spewing hurtful things. "Maybe I shouldn't listen to my brain talking when I said I don't want to wait."
Jeongguk scoffs and it doesn't sound menacing as it should be, it sounds hollow. "Well, I never regretted it and I'm sorry Taehyung, that you are regretting it." His tone is cold and Taehyung doesn't need to be told to get out of Jeongguk's dorm.
The thing about relationships going way too perfect is that when a storm hits, it hurts way more than he could have ever imagined.

The first day without Jeongguk's text greeting him early in the morning is hard. The second day without seeing Jeongguk is even harder. He has a hard time getting up for bed and he still however manages to put on a fake smile but when it comes to Park Jimin everything is laid bare out for him to see.
"Okay, I swear I can't handle this anymore, can you like talk to him, I don't know what the fuck is going on and you only heard it from Hoseok hyung and then you just assumed, maybe he has a reason!"
Taehyung buries himself with his blanket, not going to listen to Jimin as he babbles what he doesn't want to hear. Jeongguk hasn't even tried to call him, to send him a message but instead Jeongguk fucking tweets about it as if Taehyung isn't going to read that. Well, two can play in this game and they're being childish, Taehyung knows but who gives a fuck. He tweets whatever he wants to.

"I swear Kim Taehyung, indirectly mentioning each other on twitter isn't going to solve the problem, grow up, you are not a child anymore," Jimin pulls his blanket and Taehyung groans. "I am going to smack both of your heads together one of these days."
And Taehyung thinks that Jimin is being metaphorical so when Jimin gets back to their shared place with Jeongguk in tow, he wants nothing more but to run. However, Jimin being the slick one that he is, opens the front door and pushes Jeongguk in further and he slips himself out of their apartment, leaving only Taehyung and Jeongguk alone in the apartment.
"What are you doing here?"
"Jimin."
"Of course. You can leave if you want."
And Jeongguk is close to opening the door but then he surprises Taehyung by striding up to him. "Okay, you know what, I'm done with this, I'm going to make you listen to what I have to say and if you are still regretting this thing going on between us then so be it."
Taehyung catches his breath before Jeongguk proceeds. "I am not going to Japan to move to a whole university, you are misunderstanding and Hoseok hyung only hears not even half of the story, yes I have been asked to come to that university but not to study and move there for three fucking years. I am there because of a science competition god damn it Kim Taehyung!"
Taehyung opens his mouth but nothing comes out so Jeongguk takes it his cue to continue. "And I know I am at fault for not telling you sooner, and I take the blame for that I just have no fucking excuse. But when you said that you are regretting taking things too fast with our relationship that fucking hurts and if you are still regretting for hearing out your brain then so be it."
Taehyung is glad for his fast instinct to grab onto Jeongguk's arm before he's slipping away because Taehyung made a mistake and he's going to fix it like an adult. "Wait, don't make the same mistake I did for not listening," Taehyung pleads, his hold on Jeongguk's arm tightening and he relaxes slightly when Jeongguk makes no move to bolt out of his place but Taehyung is still gripping onto Jeongguk's arm for good measure.
"I can't believe I am that dumb," Taehyung starts. "I'm so sorry for not listening to you, I'm so sorry for saying what I said, but seriously please believe me when I said I didn't mean anything, I was hurt thinking that you are not telling me that you are leaving in less than a week to a whole new country thinking that you are moving there and I'm just sorry, I just have no-"
Jeongguk moves closer toward him and Taehyung misses the warmth of Jeongguk's palm when it rests on his cheek. "Hey, hey, don't cry, I'm sorry too, I'm only going to be in Japan for a week if that makes you feel any better."
"But I am still going to miss you," Taehyung says and he doesn't realize that he's been crying and he feels embarrassed but he couldn't care less.
"I know, I know, I'll miss you too," Jeongguk pulls him into a hug and Taehyung indulges himself in it.
He doesn't realize just how much he misses Jeongguk.

When Taehyung looks back to their time two years earlier, nothing much has changed, Jeongguk is still the adorable guy he knows that loves puppy too much that he now has adopted one and they are still madly in love with each other and their sappiness is still game on, much to their friends chagrin. Jimin has dubbed them the old married couple while Seokjin continuously awwws at every little thing they do. It's still the same, nothing changes. However Taehyung likes to say that they have evolved as nerdy as it sounds.
