Chapter Text
Izuku Midoriya closed his eyes and clamped his mouth shut, trying with all his might not to burst out laughing.
Things were never boring as a teacher and four of this year's students had a… special form of chaos that emanated from them.
Arms akimbo, moth pressed but wiggly, The green haired teacher opened his eyes to see said students humbly sitting on their knees looking seconds away from performing Dogeza.
“Pfft!” Izuku covered his mouth to smother his laugh before taking in a quick breath. “Alright,” he finally managed to speak, “Aizawa-sensei has already given you the riot act, so I’ll spare you a second lecture.”
The three boys and one girl sagged in relief.
“However,” the teacher continued, “as my students I will be in charge of discipline and punishment.” The students groaned in acceptance. “Orimoto-chan,” the blonde haired girl sat up straight, her green eyes filled with the fear only a student could have, “you are to write a report on the importance of Quirk training and how laminar and turbulent flow can affect a person’s Quirk.”
“Yes, sensei.” She sighed.
“You have two days.” Izuku added on.
“Two?!” She exclaimed.
“And no hero course classes until it’s done.”
“Seeensei!” She half groaned, half whined.
“Next,” the young adult turned towards one of the twins, “Kimura-kun.” the short haired student flinched, black hair rising like a startled cat’s fur. “You did a good job stepping in to stop your brother and friends' argument, however, “Izuku paused as the kid began to sweat bullets and stiffly look towards the side, “you still ended up destroying a good chunk of the equipment and wall.” The student closed his dark blue eyes, awaiting his punishment. “For the next week you will be joining me after school for extra training.”
“Huh?” The boy looked up in surprise.
“I know you guys are still getting used to your ‘Quirks’.” He explained. “I didn’t have one until I was your age so, it’d be hypocritical of me to punish you for something that was an accident.”
“Deku-Sensei!” The boy looked so relieved, Izuku felt bad for what came next.
“Which is why we’re going to do some hard core one-on-one training to try and help you properly control your powers.”
As a humans was left unsaid.
The boy wilted but made no complaint.
“And finally, you two.” The teacher’s voice took on a firm and slightly disappointed tone.
He leveled the true trouble makers with a stare and for their part, the spikey haired brunette and long raven haired boys had the decency to look apologetic.
“You will not be joining the hero classes for the next three days. Instead,” the teacher put emphasis on the word, “you will be helping to clean up the training ground, helping at the nurse office, and writing essays on why we have Quirk regulation rules.”
“Yes, sir.” The two chorused in unison.
“Oh! And no after school club activities.”
“Sensei!!” Kanbara-kun exclaimed.
“It’s not an effective punishment if it doesn’t leave a sting.” Izuku explained.
“Uuug…” the goggle wearing brunette groaned.
“Now off the floor you guys. It’s time for the next class.”
“Yes, sensei.” Came the cacophony of replies as his four new trouble makers picked themselves up and followed him to class.
——
“Is it true your new students are a handful?” Kirishima asked as he set down his glass of beer.
“Where’d you hear that?” Izuku asked, blinking in surprise.
“We overheard Aizawa-sensei mumbling about ‘the trouble maker finally has trouble makers’” Ochaco mimicked their former teacher. “So we assumed he was talking about you!” Her smile blinded Izuku (as always).
“Well…” Izuku closed his eyes as he took a sip from his drink. “I do have four students who have their very own… brand of chaotic energy…”
“So you do have trouble makers!” Tsuyu-Chan exclaimed with a laugh.
“I wouldn’t say their trouble makers.” The teacher defended his students.
Not in the way his friends were thinking…
At least not yet…
“Not according to your coworkers!” Kirishima laughed. “Even great lord dynamite says their trouble.”
“Ahhh… right… Kacchan was on campus yesterday, wasn’t he…" Izuku mentally apologized to his four chaotic students. He wouldn’t be able to save them from his friend's rumor mill.
“Sssooooo~” Ochaco sang, “what kinda trouble did they get into?”
Izuku sighed as he took a swig from his drink.
“All four of them are best friends and practically inseparable.” The teacher began, “a set of twins, Kouichi-kun and Kouji-kin,” he deliberately used their first names, “and their two friends, Takuya-kun and Izumi-Chan.” He paused to see his own friends rapt attention. “Kouji-kun and Takuya-kun tend to argue a lot. Nothing serious, just half hearted banters but yesterday their argument escalated into horse play.”
“Aaaaah, so that’s why they got in trouble!” Ochaco stated.
“Actually, no.” Izuku rebuttaled.
“It’s not?” Ochaco tilted her head in confusion.
“It’s not.” Izuku took another sip from his glass. “Izumi-Chan tried to stop it, only to end up wrapped up in whatever debate started the whole thing.”
“An argument of three…” Tokoyami mumbled in thought. “Did their Quirks activate due to their temper?”
“Bingo!” The teacher snapped his fingers. “Their quirks started acting up and they didn’t notice it at all,” Izuku lied through his teeth. They absolutely had noticed, “so Kouichi-Kun stepped in to stop it.”
“Oh dear…” Tsuyu-chan commented.
“He stopped the argument by karate chopping his brother and Takuya-kun on their heads but his Quirk accidentally activated and got swept up into Izumi-chan’s wind Quirk.”
“How bad was the damage?” Kirishima asked in jest.
Izuku averted his eyes, looking away as he sipped from his beer.
“Deku?”
“…” he kept sipping.
“Izuku-chan?”
“…” and he was still sipping.
“Midoriya?”
“…”
“…”
Four intense sets of eyes locked onto him.
“How much did your students destroy?” Tsuyu-chan asked, point blank.
“Poor Kouichi-kun’s Quirk took out a good twenty percent of the gym room…”
“Deku!” Ochaco scolded.
“And you said they weren’t trouble makers!” Kirishima laughed aloud.
“…” Izuku sipped on his beer some more.
He honestly didn’t think his new students deserved to be called trouble makers yet. They had only just recently became able to use some of their powers as humans…
Just like he had to get used to OFA while at school, they too were trying to get used to their powers.
Powers they technically already knew how to use… just not as humans.
Not that Izuku could explain that to his friends.
The truth of those six kids was a AUH top secret.
And while he had no doubt that they were trouble makers, they had been doing their best not to cause trouble for the school.
…
He watched his friends laughing good Naturedly about him and his new students.
…
Yeah, he wouldn’t be able to save their reputation.
But that was fine.
If they were going to be called trouble makers, at least they were going to be called Deku’s trouble makers.
