Buck and Tommy embraced each other, refusing to let go. "It's only for a few days, and we can keep calling each other," Tommy told him when they finally pulled apart.
Buck pouted. "Damn this conference for taking me away from my guys."
Theo giggled despite the tears pouring down his face. "Don't go," he pleaded through his sobs.
Buck and Tommy's hearts broke for their heartbroken son. Buck kneeled down next to him and pulled Theo in for a hug too. "I'm only going to be gone for three days, buddy. We can call each other, and you have Tommy and your aunts and uncles. I promise I'll be back."
Theo looked skeptical. "Stay with us."
"You should go before he has a complete meltdown," Tommy whispered, knowing it was coming.
Buck pressed a kiss to Theo's forehead, stood back up, and then planted a kiss on Tommy. "I'll miss you two so much when I'm gone."
"So we will." A worried Tommy glanced down at Theo, who was clearly gearing up for a meltdown.
Buck reluctantly left them so he could go through security and board the plane, leaving Tommy to handle Theo.
They'd all be reunited soon.
