Training Video Setback

Summary:

What happened after Blitz yelled at Loona in the middle of the training video?

Notes:

Here’s a quick one-shot based off the short that was released this afternoon.

It was really great, even though I had hoped it would be a Stolas based one.
Still, it was funny because it reminded me of the SpongeBob episode of the same concept. Lol

However, the only part I didn’t like was Blitz yelling at his daughter because she didn’t take it seriously.
That’s what an idea popped up that he would accidentally bring up the incident from “Orphan Time” during his tantrum and unintentionally hurt her feelings.

Don’t worry, Loona forgives him because she knows her dad didn’t mean it. 😉

Sorry if it’s short and rushed, but I did the best I could.

Enjoy!

Work Text:

Blitz decided that IMP should do a training video for new interns and he wanted to try to do things his way, even to the annoyance of his friends.

Things were going kind of okay until it was Loona’s turn and she didn’t exactly take it seriously.

Millie came up to her dress a client asking to kill someone and said,  “I need you to kill someone for me, please and thank you.” She said in a slow and scripted voice.

“Cool.” Loona said casually.

“Loonie that was very good but you gotta show him how to ask questions and stuff.” Blitz advised her.

“Why? Don’t we always wing it?”

“No, we don’t always wing it because it’s a business! and the system is not cut out for us, so please just stick to the script, alright?”

The Hellhound raised her eyebrow in confusion and asked, “What script?”

That’s when Blitz decided to throw a tantrum and nearly forgot that the camera was still on.

“FUCKING DAMN IT, LOONA!!!” he started screaming, “Will you please just take this fucking seriously?! I don’t want this to be botched up like that stupid orphan mission we went on!”

Loona looked at her adopted father with a shocked expression and without saying another word, or even looking at him, she got up from her desk and ran out.
Blitz realized what he had done and remember that the camera recorded what happened.

“Oh shit!” Blitz changed from aggravated to worried, “Loonie wait, I didn’t mean it! Come back! I’m sorry!”

But the door slammed before she could even hear him.
With a heavy sigh, Blitz followed her out of the office while still holding the camera.

It didn’t take long for him to find his daughter and saw her leaning against the end of the hallway.
Loona’s back was facing him and she was hugging herself while looking down at the floor.

“Loonie? Sweetie?” Blitz spoke softly, “Honey, I’m really sorry I said that. I shouldn’t have brought that up. I…I was just trying to get everybody to take us seriously, that’s all. I didn’t mean it honey, I’m sorry.”

“I know but…” Loona took the deep breath to keep her voice steady, “You didn’t have to remind me about that. I know I really messed up that time and I’m sorry about that, okay? And honestly, you didn’t really tell me what I should say and it’s not like people take us seriously anyway. You always tell us to wing it and that’s what I did. I tried, okay?”

Blitz mentally kicked himself and realized that she was right, especially about not really giving her a script to work with.

“I know and I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that.” Blitz admitted, “I shouldn’t pressure you so much and that’s my fault. You can come back, if you want. We can do it over and I’ll be sure to edit out what I said to you. Okay? Is that okay, sweetie?”

Loona as silent for a moment and thought carefully about what she wanted to do before finally giving her dad an answer.

“Thanks but I don’t think I wanna be in the video anymore.” She said honestly, “You guys go ahead without me. I’ll just stay out of it.”

“Are you sure, honey?”

“Don’t worry, I’m okay. I just need some alone time for right now.”

The imp didn’t argue with Loona and he didn’t push her into coming back, so he accepted her decision amicably.

“Okay Loonie.” He nodded sadly, “I understand. But if you change your mind, just let me know, okay? I love you, baby.”

“Yeah.” Loona gave a small smile, “You too, dad.”

And with that, Blitz, slowly, headed back to the office and felt bad about his daughter not being able to participate in the training video, but it can’t be helped now.

“I’m back.” he said in a low voice.

“Is everything okay, Blitz?” Stolas asked when the camera turned to him, “Is Loona feeling alright?”

“She’s not gonna continue with us. She needs a break and let’s just keep going, okay?”

“Okay sir.” Moxxie said.

They continued with the training video without Loona, who went outside of the building to get herself some coffee.

Unfortunately, the video did not go well in the interns who were there during the recording actually left because they couldn’t take anymore of Blitz’s attitude.

Later that afternoon, Blitz was working on editing on his training video to, hopefully, get more interns to work with them.
He worked on it for so long that he almost ended up falling asleep and would have if not for the door opening to reveal Loona carrying 2 cups of coffee with her.

“Hey dad.” Loona spoke quietly, “I got you coffee. I made sure they got it right and threatened to ripped their throat out if they didn’t.”

“Oh. Thanks sweetie.” Blitz gave her a tired smile.

“You okay?”

“Oh just..” he paused for a moment to yawn,
“Just trying to edit this out. After you left, the interns apparently didn’t like how I was talking to them and left. I try to go after them, but they ran away like scattered rodents.”

“Yikes.” She cringed a bit, “Sorry about that.”

“No worries. Are you feeling better, honey?”

“Yeah.” Loona gave a small smile and grab a chair to sit next to him, “I’m okay now. Don’t beat yourself up anymore, okay.”

Blitz smiled at her until he saw the red screen of death on his laptop before he could finish editing.

“What the fuck?” He asked in confusion, “Uh Loonie? What does "meh-DEE-ah offline" mean?”

Loona chuckled softly and rolled her eyes before saying, “Here dad. Let me help you.”

It took a while and some rebooting, but eventually, they got the video fixed and ready to be sent out. Hopefully, others won’t back out like the other interns.

But either way, Blitz was thankful that his daughter had helped him.
