It was supposed to be a simple trip. Avoid Zariel's attention, done and simple with how bogged down she is. Find one of those erinyes, also rather simple when you know what to look for. Winged like an angel and very much a lady.
So how, Lolth pondered, did her avatar end up in the lair of Tiamat. Was it that abishai lord that she had seen on the horizon? Was it the erinyes herself who captured her? Either way, this is plenty embarrassing, a goddess of greater power at the mercy of a lesser deity. Well, an avatar of her grandeur, but this little scandal is still going to be a pain in the ass to solve.
What really caught Lolth's attention, however, was Tiamat's stare. The five headed deity's scales shimmering all the chromatic rainbow at her in an odd way, usually such rainbow asthetics would be deeply unintimidating, but... well... suppose it's different with hellfire or something of the sort. If she were in any other situation, perhaps she would call it beautiful or some other flattering bullshit, but this was... not the occasion.
"Well, isn't this certainly a new... development, hm?" the dragon goddess said, the words rolling off the tongue rather smoothly.
