Work Text:

This night was going to be my night.
No.
It was supposed to be OUR night.
After everything we went through.
I need to find her.
Maybe we can fix this.
I ran out of the building.
“Olivia! Wait up!”
I see her, on her way to the metro station.
“Olivia…wait..fucking hell…hold on..”
I take a moment to catch my breath.
“What the hell happened back there”
Her eyes level on me.
Mixture of anger and pain.
“O-Olivia?”
“Olivia-”
“You just blew up out of nowhere, what's wrong-”
Olivia, in the blink of tears, responds.
“Why..why didn’t they get it?”
“What did I do wrong?”
I closed my mouth
“I poured my heart and soul out on those assholes. And look what happened."
“It was all for nothing.”
“Those..freaks.”
She looked at me expectantly.
“You get it, right Inco?
“Yeah. I do.”
I was trying to find something to fix this situation.
“Listen, it’s not over.”
“...Of course it is.”
“Iadakan deserves better than this. What a disgrace.”
I look at her and try to reassure her.
“Look, there's a way to make it up.”
She looked at me and listened.
“Right now, things seem really down. I don’t know.”
“But the stage is still open.”
“I’m sure if I just give a word with Ben or Scaler, they’ll let you continue, and maybe you can apologize?”
Her face twisted into anger.
“Oh my god, shut up!”
She yells.
“Iadakan was wrong! all those assholes, even YOU, Inco.”
“All they cared about was themselves!”
“Olivia. I mean-n, your speech-”
“I took YOUR advice, Inco!”
What the hell.
After everything we went through?
Doesn't she know I was also affected by this?
My anger took control of me.
“I said tell your story to them, not bragging about yourself!”
My anger disintegrated when I realised what I was saying.
“S-shit sorry I mean-”
“FUCK YOU!”
She shouted.
“You’re just like them, an asshole that only cared about himself.”
Her tears begin to roll down her face.
“No-o, Olivia listen to me-”
“You’re not so different from Ben.”
“You just want anything for yourself, huh? What’s your goal? Having a disabled girlfriend so you can get all the attention you want?”
She stared at me with hatred in her eyes.
Like I’m some kind of a stranger to her.
“Olivia, please, you’re angry this isn’t you-”
“You don’t get to tell me what I am!”
“Olivia!”
I yelled.
“Just calm down for a second, right?”
“I’m sorry that I said that to you, but please, calm down.”
“Please, Olivia..”
I try to calm her down.
“FUCK OFF!”
She shouted back at me.
She turned back and headed to the metro station.
“Olivia, please!”
“What happened to you, Olivia?”
She turned back and yelled at me.
“What happened to me? I don’t know, maybe you’ll know if you give a shit about me!”
“Everything is always about you, Inco!”
“W-what did you mean? I cared about you, Olivia! I even went to detention with Mia for you!”
She snorted.
“It’s not enough, Inco.”
For fuck sake.
The anger that had seemed to disappear a moment ago returned.
“What do you mean, it’s not enough!”
I shouted.
“I was never enough for you isn’t it? Not me, not Damien. And he was your fucking brother!”
The anger totally consumed me.
“The only person you cared about is Iadakan! Not your boyfriend, your brother or your family!”
“What should I do to make you care about me like you cared about Iadakan?”
She stunned by my response.
“I-Inco-”
I didn’t let her finish.
“Shit, you don’t even care about my art contest!”
“And I even forgive you afterward.”
She turned toward me, her face turned somber.
“Inco..”
I looked at her, tried.
“Just do this for me, please, Olivia.”
“This night was supposed to be our night, Olivia.”
Silence linger for a moment.
“I can’t.”
She answered.
Her gaze is on the concrete below now.
“What do you mean you can’t?”
After everything?
Why can’t she just do this for us?
For me?
“Please, Olivia, just go back and apologise and everything will be okay.”
“I can’t damn it!”
She looked at me.
“For fuck sake Olivia! Just this once.”
“This is my night too, you know?! It can’t end like this.”
“After everything I’ve done for you, can you please just do this one thing for me!?”
Her anger came back with every word I said.
“Your night? Wasn’t this supposed to be our night like you said, Inco.”
“After everything, you’re still thinking about yourself!”
“I shouldn’t have my hopes up if this is the shit you are always thinking about.”
I shouted back at her.
“You say that like you give a damn about me! Shit, it's only you isn’t it? I was always here to clean your shit up!”
“The fucking art contest! Shit with Mia and Ben!”
“I even lied to save your face, Olivia!”
“I should’ve told Scaler about the whole thing if this is the thanks I get.”
She’s furious now.
“FUCK YOU THEN, YOU ATTENTION WHORE SKINNIE BASTARD!”
“WE’RE DONE!”
I should’ve been sad because of that.
However.
After everything she said?
I was furious too.
“NO, THIS IS NOT HOW IT ENDS.”
“YOU’RE GOING TO GET BACK THERE AND APOLOGIZE, OLIVIA!”
She turned back and went straight to the metro station.
I put my hand on her shoulder, trying to turn her back toward me.
And then..
SNAP!
I yanked my hand back just before she could bite me.
Her face changed from anger to terror and then went back to anger.
“We’re done, Inco.”
“I don’t want to see your face ever again.”
I look at her.
The girl I used to love now stared at me with anger and disgust.
I was speechless.
She went into the metro station and out of my view.
I walked back to the building.
It looked like most people had already left.
Then I saw Ben walked out of the door, looking angry.
Like really angry.
If it was a normal situation I would’ve asked him what’s wrong.
But I already had my own shit to deal with already.
I sat down at the stair entrance.
Lost in thought.
I did everything for her.
The art contest, the shit with Mia.
And what did I get back?
A fucking break up.
Raptor Jesus.
Tonight was supposed to be our night.
I even rented a limo.
I thought that we would dance, have fun and she would give a heartfelt eulogy for Iadakan.
That everything I did was worth it.
Can you imagine it? A picture of my happiest night.
Shit. I didn’t even take a single picture there.
I reached for my camera.
Shit.
Where was my camera?
I stood up and tried to remember.
I must’ve placed it on one of the tables when I went to find Olivia.
I ran back into the building.
The place was almost empty.
I spotted two figures, probably janitors, cleaning things up on the floor.
And then I found a small black rectangular box.
Thank god, it’s still here.
I went to pick it up and inspect it.
It looked like nothing out of the ordinary.
And then I heard sobbing on the second floor.
I should’ve just gone home and rested.
This night was already terrible for me.
But curiosity got the better of me.
I walked up to the second floor and found a silhouette.
My heart beats faster with each step I took.
I was so focused on the silhouette that I tripped over my leg.
“Shit!”
I caught myself on the ground.
My face almost slammed into the floor below.
I looked back at the silhouette.
A blonde-haired crimson parasaurolophus girl.
She wore a pink dress with a jean jacket on top of it.
Shit.
It’s Mia.
“What the fuck are you doing here!”
She turned toward me, angry, through her ruined make up.
“I-I just wanted to check-”
She walked toward me and yelled.
“GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I’LL BREAK YOUR BONES-”
She tripped on the stairs and went toward me.
“Shit! Mia!”
I dropped my camera on the ground and caught her.
Her entire body weight is pressed against me.
Both of my hands are placed around her body, turning it into an awkward hug.
We stayed there for a moment.
The entire situation registered in my brain.
I was hugging an enraged Mia.
I tried to push her away but her tail wrapped itself around my waist.
Mia realize it too.
She pushed herself away from me.
“Are you okay, Mia?”
I asked, genuinely concerned about her.
She looks at me, and says in a mocking tone.
“Why do you care? Don’t you have Hotwheels to care for, huh?, Shade.”
She was trying to be smug about it, but something was wrong.
The memory from moments before with Olivia was still new in my mind.
“S-she and I aren’t together anymore.”
I said and then sat on the step.
I was expecting a mock, insult or whatever the things she would’ve said in time like this.
Something to take this hopeless emotion away from me.
But, she didn’t say anything.
The silence was long and suffocating.
Her face was a mix of various emotions.
Mockery.
Disgust.
Anger, and then settle on sadness.
“You and me both, baldie.”
She said quietly.
My mind is full of unwelcome emotions that need to be put out.
I didn’t even care that it was Mia I was talking to. . I need someone to vent to.
“I did everything for her, you know?”
She perked up at me.
“The art contest, hell. I even went to detention with you for her.”
She stared at me but didn’t say anything.
I continue.
“This night was supposed to be our night, everything went out perfectly. She looked great in that dress. I got her, Damien and Liz a limo, and maybe if this went well, everything I did was worth it.”
My anger came back.
“And she has to ruin everything I have with that fucking speech!”
Mia was startled by my sudden surge of anger.
“I tried, you know? I really tried.”
“But I was never enough for her! I’ll never be enough!”
My body trembled with every word I said.
“She only cared about herself and Iadakan.”
“Not me, not Damien, not her family, just the two of them.”
“Why can’t I be enough for her.”
My tears began to roll out.
“I love her, god damnit!”
I try to wipe my tears but it keeps on coming.
“I like to think that after everything, she would come back and we’d apologize. ”
“And maybe, we can fix this.”
I looked down.
“But after this? I don’t even know if I want her to come back.”
“It’s all just, pointless.”
I sat there, sobbing quietly, trying to gather my thoughts.
A scale hand press down on my right shoulder.
I look up and see.
Mia.
She wasn’t in her usual ‘mean bitch attitude.’
Her face was a mixture of emotions.
She sat down beside me and said.
“Life’s a bitch, huh?”
I quietly chuckle.
“I think that her breaking up with you is the best thing that could’ve happened , Shades.”
I look at her and raise an eyebrow.
“She’s always like this, bitter, cynical and a total asshole.”
She turned to me with a sympathetic expression.
“Frills, tried to get her to befriend other people before.”
“Hell. I even tried to befriend her once in my freshman year.”
She looked resentful at the memory.
“She was insufferable to be around, and that was even before the art contest thing with Ben.”
She was quiet for a moment.
“I don’t even know how you can keep up with her this long.”
I answer her.
“She was actually very kind when you got to know her, well, before all of this.”
She snorted.
“Yeah, when you get to know her.”
“I was a bitch and you know it the first time you see me, but she?”
She takes a deep breath.
“She’ll make you ‘get to know her’ first and cast you aside the moment you say anything negative about her.”
She gritted her teeth.
“She is always thinking about herself.”
“That’s the real her.”
I gather my courage and ask Mia.
“And what makes you so different from her, Mia?”
Her face turned somber and then answered.
“I actually got what I deserve.”
The silence returned.
“What happened to you, Mia?”
She glanced at me trying to gather her words.
And then she answered.
“Ben and I are done.”
I look back at her, shocked.
“We had an argument and I said things I shouldn’t have said.”
She stops for a moment.
“He got angry.”
She turned her gaze back to the stairway.
“Like really angry. “ She catches her breaths.
“I never see him this angry, it scares me.”
Her eyes began to water.
“This entire relationship thing was supposed to be a cover up, you know?”
“We never love each other like other lovers do, we’re just in here to cover our asses.”
“Even then, when he calls off this entire thing. I should’ve been angry at him, furious even.”
Her body seemed to tremble with every word she said.
“But I didn’t expect to feel heartbroken, like a part of me was gone.”
“The Ben I knew and began to have a feeling for was gone, because I didn’t think before I talked.”
She was silent for a moment and said.
“It made me think about everything that I’ve ever done.”
“And I realise that…” She said between her sobbing.
She struggles to get her word out.
“I deserve it.”
The suffocating silence from before return.
“I was a bitch to everyone else.”
“Especially to you and Olivia.
“But most importantly.” Her body trembled because of the sobbing.
“I was a terrible girlfriend to Ben.”
She met my gaze.
“I envy you, Shades.”
“Even the thing with Liv, you still got friends to talk to.”
She looked down.
“I have no one.”
"Not Kiara, not Lunara, they’re just here for themselves.”
Her face twisted into anger.
“I bet after this entire thing breaks out, she’d go after Ben.”
“My parents aren’t around nor did they care enough to talk to me.”
She looked lost for a moment and then said.
“I was truly alone.”
The image of the Mia I know is thrown out of the window.
She’s no longer ‘The Terror of St.Hammond’.
She’s no longer the bully that harassed me and Olivia during our time there.
Her make up ruined, her eyes swollen from tears.
Gone was her usual air of superiority and arrogance.
The person in front of me is just a heartbroken girl.
We were suffering from the consequences of things we did without thinking .
We are much more similar than we like to think.
I look at her and place my hand on her shoulder.
She tensed for a bit and then relaxed.
“You’re not alone, Mia.”
I smirked and said.
“You may not like it, but you got me here with you right now.”
She chuckle.
“Jeez, after everything, how can you still be an unbearable idiot in a time like this?”
I smile back.
“What did you mean unbearable? You’re still here with me aren’t you?”
She chuckled lightly.
The silence came back, but now more welcoming.
“Hey, Mia. I have something to ask.”
She looks back and raises an eyebrow.
“Shoot.”
“Why did you always try to terrorise me and Olivia? I mean I get it with Olivia stuff, but why me? what did I ever do to you?”
She looked uncomfortable for a moment and answered.
“You know, for the first time I saw you I was thinking that you were just a fresh meat that needed to be taught where he is in the food chain. Nothing more, seriously.”
“But after the shit Liv pulled, and you trying to help her? I was furious.”
I raised my eyebrow.
“Why though?”
She stared at me with a deadpan expression.
“Dude, she made Ben and by extension me, clean up the mess she made with that paint stuff.”
She huff.
“One of my jackets is ruined because of that, and then you just came here and took her away when I was yelling at her, of course I’d be mad at you too.”
I turned my head to the stairway.
“Yeah, I kinda get it.”
Then the silence quickly came over.
She looked nervous.
“Inco..”
She hesitated for a moment and quietly said.
“I’m sorry..”
I snapped my head back.
“What?”
She continue.
“I’m sorry about hitting you with a dodge ball and knocking you out on your first day.”
She catches her breath.
“I’m sorry about the blackmail with Olivia.”
Regret seemed to overwhelm her.
“I just see an opportunity to get back at her after everything she did.”
“And I messed up because of that.”
Her gaze now settled back on the floor.
“I hurt you both and almost did something I would regret.”
Tears came rolling back down on her face.
“And it’s pathetic because I know that if it weren’t for Ben to leave me and make me think about myself. I would never apologise to you, so, Inco. I’m sorry.”
Would I forgive her?
After everything that she’s done to me.
After the blackmail, the chase and detention with her?
It would be so easy to just say no.
Like with Olivia.
To say that I would never forgive her, and go on with my life.
But she’s not Olivia.
She’s actually apologizing for her mistake.
Olivia would never.
Maybe before any of this.
But now?
I don’t think she’ll ever apologise to me.
Mia and I don’t need another problem in our hands right now.
I thought for a moment and decided.
“I forgive you, Mia.”
“We both messed up.” I offer
I catch my breath and say.
“Let the past stay in the past .”
I smiled back at her.
She returned with a smile of her own.
Not a mocking smile like she usually does.
But a genuine one.
And then in an instant.
She wrapped me in a tight hug.
I was taken aback by her sudden movement.
After a moment. I reciprocate.
Through her tears, she quietly said.
“Thank you.”
Maybe it was because of the hug or because of her apology.
But when she said that?
It felts… good.
It felt like everything troubling me had disappeared.
We stay there for a moment before the ceiling lights turn off.
Then we separate.
I look back at her.
She looked better now, even with her messy hair and ruined make up.
Her eyes, which used to contain nothing but a murderous gaze, now look at me with tenderness.
We stood up and went downstairs.
On our way down I spotted my camera.
Or what used to be my camera.
It was broken because of the drop.
Part of me would’ve been devastated because of it.
But now though? After everything?
That camera is full of something I’d like to forget.
Olivia, our time together was truly magical.
But every time I think about you, it always goes back to that face you made.
Like I was nothing but a stranger to you.
Even after everything I’ve done for you.
I was never enough.
Mia looks uncomfortable for a moment and turns to me.
“Shit, sorry, Inco. I’ll pay you back if you like-”
I turned my head back to her and said.
“You don’t need to, Mia.”
She puzzled.
“What do you mean? It must be expensive! Please at least just let me pay for the fixing, Inco-”
“I’d like to forget about it, Mia.” I interrupted her.
I go and pick it up and toss it into a trash can.
We walked out of the building.
I instantly got hit with the Volcadera winter air.
Mia was trembling because of the cold.
We went to the metro station.
She glanced back at me and nervously asked.
“I told my parents that I would be at Ben's place after the Formal but, after everything that happened. I don’t think I can do that anymore.”
She hesitated for a moment then finally asked
“Can I crash at your place tonight?”
I looked back at her, shocked.
“W-What can’t you just go home or something? What’s wrong?”
She looked back at me with an annoyed expression and said.
“Dude, if it wasn’t a problem . I would’ve never asked you in the first place."
Yeah, fair.
“My parents are back home right now, and I make a big deal of wanting to be with Ben and stuff, so, if I go back there, alone. I would get questions about everything, and when I said everything. I mean everything.”
“They might not care about me, but sure as shit cares about why I’m without Ben, they’ll know that this little daughter of them got broken up with and because they’re my parents, they’ll just drag me down and yell at me and tell me stuff like ‘Why I can’t even hold a good man for myself’ and that ‘I fucked up my chance with the only good thing in my life’.”
She sounded angry, trying to imagine what her parents might say to her when she got back.
While me?
I was trying to make a decision.
What would Olivia think of me if I did let Mia come over?
It feels like I was cheating on her with Mia.
Mia and I weren't even friends back then, far from it.
Now though, she and I were all in the same boat here.
Both of us were heartbroken and we both needed support for each other.
But Olivia wouldn’t care about that.
She would insult me, yell at me, say stuff like ‘I always know you would cheat on me’ if Mia came over.
Why would I care so much about her if she’s the one that broke up with me?
Am I still having feelings for her?
I looked at the parasaur lady beside me.
I wanted to believe that if I let her come over, she’d use it against me.
That the old Mia was still there somewhere.
That Olivia would praise me for making the ‘right decision’ by refusing to help her.
That it would teach her a lesson for being a bitch to us.
But the parasaur beside me is nothing more than a tired heartbroken girl.
This night has been terrible for the both of us.
She stared at me expectantly.
Her face is a mix of anticipation and a tiny bit of fear.
The street light shines brightly on her scales. Making her look like an artpiece.
Snow began to gather on her blonde hair and shoulders.
The image of Mia from the school began to fade away from my mind.
She was just like me.
We both suffered.
The old Mia was nowhere to be seen.
..
…
Fuck it.
Fuck what Olivia would think of me.
She can screw off.
I gathered my words and said.
“Okay, You can come over, we have a guest room available and my parents are probably asleep by now. I’ll just write them a note telling them about you.”
She smiled and quickly wrapped me into another hug.
I feel my cheeks begin to heat up.
We both walked inside and sat down in the seats.
“So, where is your place?” She asked.
“Right around the upper suburb, me and my family moved here like, 6 months ago.”
She nodded and looked out of the window.
Mia's tail curved around one of my legs.
Wrapping it slightly.
I smile from the sight.
The train ride home was quiet.
Both of us were too tired to say anything.
When it finally reached our destination, we both got out and walked out of the metro station.
The street is devoid of any car, with only street lights here to guide us.
Snow is slowly falling on our way there.
We walk in silent.
The atmosphere became more normal with each step we took.
The moment from before begins to fade away.
The stuff with her and Ben.
The stuff with me and Olivia.
What a terrible night for both of us.
“Hmmm… hmmm…hmmm.”
Her voice broke me from my thoughts.
Mia looks to be in a trance of some kind.
She hums the song they play in the formal.
She looks almost childlike doing things like that.
It was kind of cute seeing her like this.
She noticed me staring at her and quickly stopped humming, her face turned red.
“What are you looking at!” She huffed.
“That's pretty cute, Mia.”
She looked at me trying to suppress her embarrassment.
“S-shut up or I’m going to punch you in the face, Shades.” She pouted at me.
“Come on, Mia, don’t hide it from me. I didn't know you could be so girly.”
I tease her.
Her face was now in a deeper shade of red.
“God. I shouldn’t have come here!”
While she said that, her tail was swaying behind her like crazy.
It's almost mesmerising to look at.
Who would’ve thought that, Mia Moretti.
The Terror of St.Hammond.
Would be blushing beside me because of some stupid teasing.
I laugh at the sight in front of me.
Then.
In an instant.
She used her tail to wrap around my waist and drag me closer to her.
“You’re gonna regret that, Baldie.” She said that in a flirty tone.
I look at her nervously.
We quickly walked back to our destination.
Everything seems to return to normal for a moment.
And then she said.
“Inco..”
I look back at her.
She looked nervous, trying to continue.
“Thank you for listening to me.” She said quietly.
I offered her a genuine smile in return.
“Thank you for listening to me too, Mia.”
She looks down and says.
“I know that what I did in the past was wrong, and I don’t want to be like that anymore.”
Her face turned somber.
“But I don’t think that everyone will believe in me.”
She looks up at me.
“I don’t know if I can really change, Inco.”
She stopped walking entirely.
She was conflicted about her decision.
Can she truly change for the better?
And why should she change if everybody still resents her?
That nobody would care that she changed for the better.
Would it all go to waste?
I snap myself out of my thoughts.
I look at her with a small but genuine smile.
“I believe in you, Mia.”
Small tears started to roll down her face again.
But it’s not tears of sadness or regret like before.
It was tears of gratitude, happiness.
And most importantly.
Hope.
We moved closer to each other.
I put my hand on her face, trying to wipe away her tears.
Scale meets skin, she relaxed by my touch.
Her tail is swaying behind her.
Then our eyes meet.
Blue orbs that are so full of happiness and hope.
Tenderness, calm and most importantly.
It fills me with something I thought that I would never find again.
Love.
Her hand went up to my face and picked up my prescription glasses.
“You look great without your glasses, Inco.”
I smiled at her.
We move closer to each other and then..
Our lips met in a kiss.
After everything we’ve been through.
We both want this.
All the bad emotions that we carried disappear.
My heart is beating like crazy, and so does her too.
Two broken people, together.
There’s only us at this moment.
We parted away to catch a breath.
She looks at me and smiles through her tears.
I look at her.
Mia Moretti.
The girl who I once considered nothing but a nuisance in my life.
The girl who I once wanted nothing to do with but to get out of her ways.
Now, she’s here with me, sharing our pain together.
Pouring our heart to each other.
And shared a desperately needed kiss together.
Her smile is so full of tenderness and love.
Love.
Yeah.
I tried to hide it when we were back at the metro station.
I thought that I was just imagining things, that all those small interactions were just her normal behavior.
Her tail, her blushing and now her smile to me.
I can’t deny it.
She loves me.
And I..
I love her too.
I smiled back at her and offered her a hand.
She took it and put her head on my shoulder as we walked back home.
The entire walk there was silent.
When we reached my house. I went to open the door for her.
The entire place was dark.
I go to turn on the light as we walk in.
She sat down on the couch and relaxed.
“I didn’t know you have a big ass TV, Shades.”
I turned to her and said.
“Yeah. I mostly use it to watch Yousnoot videos.”
She raised her eyebrow.
“What? You never watch movies with this thing?”
“Yeah. I usually just watch video essayists summarize them on Yousnoot.”
She turned to me with a disgusted face.
“Dude, you are miserable as shit, we need to fix that now.”
I look at her confused.
“What did you mean? Aren’t you tired or something?”
She looked at me with a determined face.
“I can’t sleep knowing someone so uncultured exists near me.”
“What do you want to watch, Mia?”
She looks up and thinks for a moment.
“Hmmm… Have you ever watched Drive?”
I raised my eyebrow.
“No?”
She smirked.
“Yeah so it's decided then.”
She searches up the movie and waits for the thing to load up.
While waiting, she got up and walked to the kitchen.
“I’m gonna find some snacks.”
As she walked there she spotted something that made her stop in her place.
“Dude, you have a twelve pack here, didn’t know you drink.”
I look back at her puzzled.
“It was probably my dad’s, he’s a heavy drinker.”
She hummed for a second and then asked.
“Want to drink some?”
Surprised by her suggestion. I quickly said.
“W-we aren’t supposed to be drinking this late-”
“Shush. You’re no fun, Shades.”
She quickly interrupted me.
“After everything that happened tonight? At least let me drink a little, a can or two ain’t so bad.”
It doesn’t sound that bad actually.
“You know what? You’re right. Get some for me too.”
She smiles and walks back to the couch.
“So, is this movie any good?”
I asked her.
“Oh you’ll know.”
She said with a smug look on her face.
I turn back to the TV and take a sip of my beer.
The movie was very good.
That Ryan Gosling guy does a very good job acting as the main protagonist.
He made me feel like the character was actually me.
“Inco, I think this is the last one.” She said in a slurred voice.
I look back at the mess we made.
She drinks most of the beers.
Trash litter around the couch table.
“Shit, this is going to be a pain in the ass to clean up.” I drunkenly said .
As I got up to pick up some trash bags, I was stopped by Mia’s tail.
“Um, Mia?” I look back at her.
She looked at me with an unreadable expression.
Her eyes filled with something that I can’t make out.
She pulled me closer.
“Mia?” I ask her, worried.
“Shush, Inky, do you think I would forget about the stuff you did on our way here?” She said with a flirthy tone.
“W-what are you talking about?” I nervously ask her.
“What? You don’t remember making me blush like crazy there, huh, Inky.” she says with a smile.
The memory of that moment came back as I realised my mistake.
Before I could open my mouth to answer her, her lips were quickly pressed against mine .
It was much more intense than before.
Filled with so much emotion, but one thing stands out above the rest.
Something so strong you simply can’t ignore it.
Want.
Her tongue began to explore every inch of my mouth.
She put her hand on my chest and pushed me down.
Her breath quicken.
As she began to undress my jacket I broke away from her kisses.
I catch my breath and look at her.
“M-mia, you’re drunk, we shouldn’t do that here, you’re probably not yourself right now.”
She looked at me, annoyed.
“Come on, Inco, don’t be a douchebag.” She moved her snoot closer to my ear.
“I know you want it too, Inky.” She said quietly to my ear.
A shudder quickly ran through my body.
“Uhh…” My brain is totally fried right now.
She laughed and pulled me up.
“Don’t lie, Inky.” She teases me as we both stand up.
Do I really want this? Breaking up with Olivia and then going and having sex with Mia?
What would she think? What would Damien and Liz think?
But to be honest?
I don’t give a shit about what any of them think right now.
I want this too.
The only thing I want is the beautiful parasaur lady in front of me.
Her face suddenly blushed red.
Probably because of the alcohol.
I moved toward her and embraced her in a hug.
I slowly pressed my lip against her.
The kiss was not as intense as before, because I wanted to feel it.
To know that it was not a one time thing.
To know that she truly have feelings for me
The love we have for each other.
I wanted to actually feel it.
The kiss was tender but filled with love.
It feels… magical.
As we slowly separate our lips.
She held me tightly, her tail curved up around my leg.
She looked at me with a smile on her face.
“I love you, Inco.”
My tears began to roll out.
Those three words.
So simple yet carries so many emotions she feels toward me.
“I love you too, Mia.”
We slowly walk toward my bedroom.
So many things happened tonight.
Both of us suffered the consequences of our actions.
But we both gained something great in return.
Something that we both didn’t know we wanted, but so desperately needed
It makes me realise something about tonight
It made me realise that this night was..
What a terrible night to fall in love.
