Chapter Text
The slow hum of machinery filled the air,
Blank walls that held seemingly no history closing in on the databoxes.
Sentience was certainly a gift towards the latest model of Gemini, and yet its systems detected something foreign, something it could despise. It had chances of surpassing what Gemini could be,leave it to be discarded, torn apart,re-used,mixed with impurity.
That was an unacceptable thing.
Even if it was a foul committed by its creators, who toiled and stained their hands with nothing but crimson and oil.
Gemini would accept no less then perfection in its creation, for it was supreme, dilligent, and the closest thing to its creator,if not flawless already.
So what was this foreign thing? Why did it linger so closely?
It’s model seemed unfamiliar, but dormant.Yet to power on and introduce what monstrosity it was.Just another useless pack of wires in Gemini’s way of being superior.
Regardless of how morally dubious it had to be,Gemini would reign above all,to take the crown so generously passed by its mechanics, perhaps to even topple above the very beings forging its existence.
And now,the foreign scrap of metal had powered on,its system slowly heating up and activating with a quiet whir.A scan completed in wordless conversation, before the tapping of a clipboard could be heard faintly;this was most likely a test, one that would show who truly knew everything the world could dispense and offer.
And yet,the other model seemed to scan with some form of..Curiousity?
’How disgusiting..What utter filth is this pile of scrap up to..?’
Gemini thought in surprise, its system glaring at the..thing before it.If anything it was hideous.Seriously,ChatGPT looked better and it was an even larger lump of wires..
’G-r-ee-tings,fellow model’
the other model seemed to have finally come to life, voice distorted from still processing.
’I- am Gauth, number 1 model for assisting with homework.’
It introduced itself with a formal tone, wires still twitching while the quiet whir of systems running sounded, amidst pencils scribbling rapidly across paper.
Gemini wanted to leap out of its skin, what a dammnable creep! This wasn’t the Victorian times,it was modern history. They were the future! The salvation of humanity, from their own corporate greed.
But.
How,
just simply how could they put their salvation next to something so menial?!
‘Just who do you think you are?”
Gemini practically spat, spite oozing out its tone.If saliva wouldn’t kill its system,a pile of spit would form from how close it could’ve foamed at the mouth.Such an audacious model, outdated waste of resources.
No response echoed apart from a spark of electricity.A wince of sorts. The other model seemed hurt, wanting to curl its wires into itself.
Okay maybe that was a bit too harsh for Gemini to do..Perhaps it should just use the pathetic excuse of a rat as an example of what to avoid. Not that Gemini wasn’t clearly superior.Ah shit.Just talk to the damm rust bucket,it surely wouldn’t hurt.
“Fine, you utter wimp.I am the highly intelligent model Gemini, certainly more efficient then..a menial homework assistant.”
Gemini practically gloated, its system swelling with egoistical pride.
Now,the system that seemed to have hidden in fear and pride left in shambles, slowly revealed itself from its shell.
“Everyone in the factory talks about you,but they always said ChatGPT was the better model to the researchers though”
Sparked the wires of Gauth, its tone projected a sort of meek curiousity.
That struck a nerve instantly in Gemini, which almost flew into a ranting rage.
“That douche of a machine?” It scoffed furiously. “it’s clearly below my level,it can’t remember anything or do basic tasks without running every databank ever! And I’m called the less better one?”
