Chapter Text
It was peaceful at the Hazbin Hotel. Well, almost. There were many new guests visiting this place, but to actually get redemption, not just kill a bunch of angels. A shadow watched over Charlie, who was now talking to Emily, all excited. After some time it quickly faded away, dashing over to the radio demon’s room.
Alastor was sipping from a cup of tea, glancing at the Pentagram City from his window. Peaceful. Too quiet, he thought. Alastor didn’t interact with the hotel for some time now, Charlie was doing great by herself. Of course, because of that, Lucifer (oh, Lucifer, that little…) mocked him all the time, but he didn’t bother to worry about that. There were more important things he had to deal with.
Four months.
Four months since Vox, his great rival has fallen. He wouldn’t care so much, if it wasn’t for one thing… Valentino defeated him. Alastor remember it clearly - him laying on the ground, the weapon pointerd directly at him. It was close to blowing up, but Vox didn’t stop. He was ready to destroy everything, even himself, just to kill the radio demon.
Well, he was then defeated by his greatest enemy - friendship. Friendship he never had. Friendship, something that Vox was sure never existed in hell. But before that, Valentino ripped off Vox’s head, betraying him.
Alastor chuckled bitterly, and put the teacup away, glancing at the shadow beside him. He nodded shortly, and the inky creature dissapeared.
Husker was lately visiting Alastor, only to yell at him, saying that he wants to leave. Poor kitty, his spider went away and he is throwing a tantrum. Such a tragedy. Not everyone got their happy ending. One of them were Vox.
He was quickly forgotten by all of hell, everyone moved on. Like a random show that got cancelled, but no one liked it enough to care. So Alastor was confused, why did he out of everyone care? It annoyed and frustrated him. His ears flattened, and he stood up suddenly. His smile was tight, as he made his way out of the room.
Alastor decided he had to talk with Charlie, who probably already finished her conversation with Emily.
Once he reached the lobby, many sinners were clumped together, blocking his way. But, when they saw the radio demon, almost everyone moved, giving Alastor space he needed. He smiled triumphantly, and walked past all of them.
„Charlie, my dear!” The deer cooed, seeing the princess standing in some random hallway. She quickly turned around, her face brightened with a smile, and her eyes sparkled. „The hotel is doing really great, I’m proud of you.”
Charlie laughed softly, her goat ears twitched with excitement from the praise. She looked away, shyly, and mumbled under her breath:
„Well, it’s all thanks to my friends! If not for them, me and the hotel would be in ruin.” The princess said with joy, but for some reason it died out. She shook her head, and the smile came back to her face like nothing happened.
Alastor found it quite strange. Why the princesses emotions shifted? He decided not to question it, there was something better he should ask.
”You know, I was wondering…” he started, looking away almost playfully. „I was wondering, what happens with Vox? Not even the Vees talk about him!”
Charlie opened her eyes widely, her pupils shrinked in fear. She started to shake slightly, as she turned her glance away.
„He almost destroyed hell, heaven and himself…” She started slowly, carefully. „Heaven was not happy about that. I-I’m… I’m surprised, I’m shocked that you…” The goat took a deep breath, finnaly looked at Alastor, who was now staring at her in confusion. „Remember him.”
The radio demon tilted his head to the side. Why wouldn’t he remember Vox, after all he was so stupid, that it was difficult just to forget about him.
”My dear, I maybe was stuck in my room for quite some time, but I haven’t lost my memory yet!”
Before he could laugh tho, Charlie stopped him, her face was serious, maybe even scared.
„No, Alastor. You should have lost your memory, just like everyone else. Sera said no one would remember him after the spell was casted.”
