Chapter Text
After turning off the engine of her recently purchased Kia Mohave 2025, the girl who owned it stepped out of the car, trying to ignore the noise of Gimhae International Airport, which was deafening even in the area designated for private planes, frequent visitors to Busan given its tourist appeal. Shielding her eyes with her favorite sunglasses, the girl began tapping a rhythm on the hood of the car. It was incomprehensible sound at first, but a moment later she realized it reminded her of an alarm signal at a fire station. Park Jihyo was not just one of the best firefighters in all of Busan, no, she was called the «Iron Mask of Saha», because no one had ever seen her panic during call-outs, she was completely calm even when walls were collapsing around her. A mere mention of Captain Park earned a respectful nod from senior colleagues who valued her for her intelligence, while younger firefighters feared yet worshipped her. The deputy chief of the fire service genuinely adored the girl and her best friend, having taken both under his wing as soon as they were assigned to Saha Fire Station after graduating from the Central Fire Academy in Chungcheongnam-do. Jihyo, like the first guard she led, was often called to extinguish particularly difficult fires not only in Busan itself but also in neighboring Ulsan and Changwon, as her team’s professionalism and cohesion were highly valued. Such success did not go unnoticed by the higher-ups, and Park, along with her deputy Yoo Jeongyeon, was often offered a transfer to Seoul, but both girls refused, enjoying life in Busan and its calmness, which was so important to them. One of the main factors for Jihyo was the family estate located in Cheolma-myeon, just around forty kilometers from Busan, this land, and everything on it, had been owned by her family for generations. The girl’s parents, who owned a large chain of seafood restaurants, antique shops, and logistics centers across South Korea, had repeatedly insisted that their eldest daughter move to Seoul, where the whole family had been living for years, but she refused, preferring to stay in their hometown. It was during a visit to her family in the capital while on vacation that Jihyo met her girlfriend, popular among millions and one of the most famous idols of her generation, Minatozaki Sana, who by chance decided to have lunch at the Park family restaurant between shoots that day. Although the girl was Japanese, together with her friends she had conquered the stage and them become one of the most successful groups, repeatedly topping all the charts, because her group Misamo was a force to be reckoned with. Jihyo wasn’t interested in the music industry, or rather she didn’t even know anyone, which made her not recognize the girl, something that drew a wide smile from Minatozaki, who was unaccustomed to such treatment and was flattered.
-So this is the moment when you’ve finally come back to me..- hugging her lover tightly while stroking her back, the firefighter whispered into her ear, as always ignoring the bodyguards assigned by JYP Entertainment, who had descended the plane’s stairs properly surveying the area.
-I don’t want to leave you ever again..- pressing herself even harder against the strong body, Sana replied, not hiding the tremor in her voice, a moment later, she pulled back and kissed those familiar lips she had missed so much during the month and a half apart.- I missed you so, so much..
-I missed you too, baby... So did Bbuyo... And Horeon, Pulgame, and Nokcho..- Jihyo smiled, looking over her girlfriend’s shoulder and nodding at both bodyguards, finding the strength in herself, she stepped back from Sana, opened the trunk, and helped pack all the suitcases the japanese girl had arrived with.
-Where should we stay, miss Minatozaki?.- after finishing with the luggage, the tall young man asked with a bright smile, looking at his charge, he had worked for her for the past five years with almost no time off, except for trips to Busan when she refused any supervision, and breaks when the idol barely left the house.
-You can stay at my apartment as always.. Why waste money on hotels?.- pulling the keys to the apartment in Munhyeon-dong, which belonged to the family and where friends sometimes stayed during visits, from her pocket, Park handed over the keychain, which included not only the apartment keys but also the garage keys, said with her usual self-assured smile. - I hope you remember the security system code?
-Thank you so much, Park! I absolutely love that cafe near the residential complex, they have the best coffee and pancakes with that syrup..- clutching the keys, the bodyguard grinned, noticing for the first time in a long time a genuine smile on the idol’s lips.- I don’t need to remind you that we should be notified of any movements, do i?
-You don’t need to worry about that, Dongsu.. I can take care of my princess..- kissing her lover on the cheek, the firefighter replied, opening the passenger door for her, a moment later, she took the driver’s seat, started the Kia’s engine, and made the bodyguards step away from the car immediately.- Are you here for a long time, baby?
-I think you’ll like what I’m about to tell you..- turning halfway, Sana smiled like an excited child, barely containing herself.- We have six months! Can you believe it? Six months! Only after half a year will I have to return to Seoul to start working on an album with Mina and Momo.. Of course, I’ll have photo shoots and a light schedule, but still! Six month!
-That’s the best news I’ve heard in a long time..- raising their intertwined fingers, Park smiled tenderly, kissed her lover hand, and carefully watched the flow of traffic, after all, at half past six in the morning, the roads were unusually crowded.- By the way, i also let mr. Hwangbo know that i want to take part of my vacation soon.. Should we fly somewhere, or stay home and rest?
-How did mr. Hwangbo agree to let you go? You just came to see me on tour not long ago..- looking at her girlfriend focused profile, the idol asked, playing with the girl’s fingers, unable to stop smiling like an idiot because she had missed her so much.
-Just a little hint that the Seoul Fire Administration contacted the assistant fire commissioner again about my possible transfer, and now everyone in Busan is extremely interested in making sure I’m not just satisfied with my job, but happy..- turning toward the suburbs, Jihyo smirked, enjoying the feeling of peace that only appeared next to one charming japanese girl.
-Maybe you should accept Seoul’s offer after all? Then you could officially move in with me.. We would live together most of the time..- knowing perfectly well where such a question would lead, Sana asked, noticing how irritation appeared on her lover face, only for a moment, but that was enough.- Just don’t be angry, please!
-I’m not angry at you, princess.. It’s just.. I talked to mom this morning, and we argued again because she wants me to move..- stopping at a red light, the firefighter said, once again placing a tender kiss on their intertwined hands.- Seoul just isn’t for me.. A big city full of chaos and all kinds of filth, thanks, but no.. Busan, with the estate, the big house, the animals, and the horses, that’s more to my liking..
Just nodding at this, the idol turned her gaze to the views rushing past the car window. She didn’t want to fight with her girlfriend on the very first day over their usual conversation about where they would live. She had flown to Busan only six times, not counting performances during tours, and every time she arrived here, the girl couldn’t hide how comfortable and peaceful this city felt. Honestly, it was a true paradise. What the idol loved most was the Park family estate in Cheolma-myeon at the foot of the mountains, a huge territory where no uninvited guests set foot, not to mention cameras. Jihyo also has amazing furry family at her residence dogs, a cat, and five horses. In just a year and a half, all of this had become her world, a place she wanted to return to every time, especially after the madness of tours and constant scrutiny. This break, unusual for Misamo, was absolutely necessary. She wanted to be just Sana, not an idol who barely slept more than four hours a day, who flinched every time from fear of being stalked again, and who didn’t always remember her own insane schedule.
-I missed these angels so much!.- getting out of the Kia, Minatozaki smiled, immediately attacked by three large dogs, who adored over her and barked loudly, trying to get as much attention from her as possible.- Pulgame, you’ve grown so much!
-They all missed you.. Especially Pulgame..- watching her girlfriend, Jihyo said, gently stroking the withers of Horeon, a five-year-old dutch shepherd who had appeared at her feet, the very first of her big furry family, an incredibly devoted and perfectly trained dog.- You spoiled him last time, and made him just like Bbuyo.. Lazy and pretty demanding when it comes to attention..
-Please don’t nag, baby.. He’s our first baby, how could i not love him? Could i do otherwise?.- scratching behind the ear of the akita, the idol murmured, then kissed the dalmatian, how’s patiently waited his turn for affection from one of his owners.- Would you mind if Mina and Chaeyoung, and Momo and Dahyun, came over in a week? We planned to throw a little party to celebrate the break, once we’ve rested a bit..
-No problem, jagiya.. Besides, i love spending time with them..- pulling the suitcases from the trunk, the firefighter said, carrying them into the house one by one, trying not to step on the dogs and the cat, who had come into the hallway, all of them bustling underfoot.- How do you feel about breakfast, and then we can rest? I go on duty tomorrow, but today I’m all yours, so we can have a romantic date at home..
-Sounds like a perfect plan..- approaching her lover and gently kissing her, Sana smiled, pulling out her phone to text her best friends that she had told her girlfriend about their plans to have a party, then walked into the house, which had become the embodiment of everything beautiful and best over the past year and a half.
