Chapter Text

Cellbit and Roier met in high school, and at first, they didn't get along at all. Cellbit was the school’s prodigy boy, always at the top of the rankings, focused only on studying and keeping a small circle of just two friends: Mike and Pac.
Roier was the complete opposite. He kept his grades just high enough to pass, often fell asleep in class, but for some reason Cellbit couldn't understand, Roier was extremely popular.

Cellbit found Roier irritating—always so loud and reckless.
Roier barely noticed Cellbit's existence; to him, he was just the "party-pooper nerd."

Or at least, that’s how it was until Roier’s second year of high school, when he was at risk of failing. Roier had never cared about his grades, but if he failed, he’d be grounded for at least a year.
So, Roier began begging the teachers for help. They had the "magnificent" idea of asking (or rather, forcing) Cellbit to tutor him.
Neither of them was happy about this, but Roier had no other choice and Cellbit felt too pressured to say no.
The first few weeks were awkward; they barely exchanged words, and the tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.
But as the weeks turned into months, both teenagers began to get used to each other's presence, even if they still didn't talk much.
Cellbit realized that Roier wasn't as annoying as he thought. He wasn't stupid either; Roier had no trouble learning, he simply preferred doing anything else over paying attention.

Roier realized that Cellbit wasn't that boring; he even found him quite intriguing.
As the months went by, they grew closer. They discovered they had several things in common and, in a way, they complemented each other.
In Roier, Cellbit found a friend who would pull him away from the books and show him that it’s okay to rest sometimes.
In Cellbit, Roier found a friend who kept his feet on the ground and showed him that there are things of higher priority.
And so the years passed. With time, they became inseparable. Now, both teenagers are on the verge of entering adulthood.
Now they have to decide what to do with their lives.

Roier lives for the moment; he doesn't worry about the future and hasn't decided what to study yet. His only constant has been Cellbit. Roier changes partners constantly, never feeling satisfied.
Cellbit has spent years planning his future and doesn't want to deviate from that plan, but feelings he refuses to admit are changing his destiny.

Notes:

Hello everyone! This is my second story centered on this handsome duo. If you read my previous story (Traitor Roier), you probably know that I’m not big on happy endings. However, I’m still not sure which ending to give this story, so I will most likely publish two alternative endings (one good and one bad).
I hope it won't take me too long to finish this story; hopefully, I’ll complete it in less than a year. I plan for it to have a total of 10 chapters, including the prologue and the two alternative endings.
I hope you enjoy the story! 💗💗💗
