Kanna POV
It was really early in the morning around 5am,I woke up for some reason. I sat up, looked around in the room and saw the sleeping silhouettes of my dear Cupid friends, Chiyo who’s arm is in Ena’s Face, Ena who looks nonchalant even sleeping (besides the arm in her face) and Koharu who looks sooo cute when asleep, hehe no actually, she always looks cute.
After trying to fall asleep the third time, I get up, careful to not wake Koharu even though she's a deep sleeper and maybe because she looks cute too.
I walk into the kitchen, still a bit tired so I decide to make myself a cup of coffee. I turn on the coffee machine and wait till my portion of caffeine is finished.
”Kanna-senpai?..”
My head snaps to the side just for my gaze to fall on my kouhai’s cute red eyes - well, eye, since the other one is covered by her knuckles tiredly rubbing her other eye.
i fully turn around. “Ah,Koharu-chan, what are you doing up already?”
“I noticed you were gone so I went to search for you…”
Her hair wich is not tied in two pigtails for once, is a bit messy due to the sleep, SHE LOOKS CO CUTEEE!!
I snap back to reality, shoot, I must’ve stared for a bit too long “Ah,you really didn’t need to. You can go back to sleep if you want^^”
”No,no, it’s fine, I’ll stay with you,you’d be all by yourself other wise…”
she really is too nice, that little kouhai of mine. “I’d love to spend the morning with you” I smile softly at her “Oh, do you want a coffee, or hot chocolate?”
”a hot chocolate would be nice” she smiles , looking as excited as you can look when you slept 3 hours, she looks like a puppy,so adorableeeeee
I give her a soft smile before turning around to make my dear Koharu a hot chocolate.
A flash of guilt flashes over me “ah, Koharu, did I accidentally wake you up with the sound of the coffee machine?..”
she waves her hands frantically “no,no, I just normally wake up a couple of times in the night and when I saw you gone I just wanted to check on you!!”
”ah,alright, if that’s the case… …say,Koharu, do you have your eyes laid on anyone?~” I say wanting to tease her a bit,I know,Cuspids can’t really feel love but I think it is possible…
”E-Eh?– Kanna-senpai, but cupids can’t fall in love?..”
”ah,you’re right…” no,I know we can because I did.
shoot, since when did it get so cold??!
“Kanna-senpai, are you alright? You’re trembling”
Why do I have to be so sensitive to cold?? “Ah,yes,I’m fine, Koharu-chan”
then Koharu takes one step forward and takes my cold and slightly trembling hands in her warm, soft hands.
“Oh,you’re really cold,kanna-senpai!” She says, rubbing her thumbs over the back of my hands. She let's go of my hands only to grab a soft blanket and wrap it around my shoulders “come,sit down, let me handle it^^” she says with a soft smile, I’m going to melt,she’s too sweet!!
I want to resist but I give in, sitting down, snuggling into the blanket “thank you,Koharu-chan”
she finishes my coffee and her hot chocolate and sits next to me.
“Oh, look, Kanna-senpai, the sunrise! The clouds look really pretty”
“ah, you’re right, they really are^^”
so we watch the sunrise together. One day I’ll tell her eventually,one day.
We’re too focused on the sunrise to notice Chiyo peeking in behind the doorway.
“Ena,they’re doing it again, acting like lovebirds but too stupid to notice” she whispers to Ena who’s standing on the other side of the hallway
“mh, they will notice eventually.”
