[This fic will mischaracterize a bit of your beloved characters, Vee and Shelly. It's a toxic yuri fic after all]
[Please don't send me death threats 🙏 im just a kid doing random shit]
[Also irl toxic relationships aren't cool]
[dont get into them]
[and you should listen to your friends]
[i just found this fun to write and wanted to share]
Vee and Shelly was out sitting on a bench in the lobby. It was quite deserted. Most toons were out on runs at this time of day, so Dandy wasn't in the shop, instead he was assisting his fellow toons down in the elevator. The two in the lobby was an exception this one time since they were both deemed: far too damaged to go on runs for a day.
For context, let's rewind a little.
Astro, due to the lack of sleep he had last night confronting Dandy about… something, neither Vee and Shelly could make out what he was so conflicted about, he had drooped over on the primed machine, accidentally setting off panic mode. Pebble, being on 1 heart at the time, panicked, ate all of his chocolate, and dashed into the elevator out of his own survival instincts, forgetting the others still outside of the elevator.
Astro panicked trying to help and mend the mistake that caused this disaster. So when he saw Sprout coming in, carrying Cosmo, Finn, and Teagan with less than 25% stamina, he rushed to give him the much needed support.
Imagine their surprise when the elevator didn't close when the 6 were in.
Sprout's face drained of color when he forgot Vee and Shelly were far away, on one heart too. He didn't worry much about Shelly, but Vee? She had 2 star stealth and not very good walkspeed! The twisteds would've targeted her first and she'd have little to no escape!
Well apparently Sprout did not have to worry about Vee because here comes the two! Shelly had Vee thrown on her shoulder and running with a chocolate high! She just ate two boxes of chocolates. That's it. Why did I use chocolate high. ew. Whatever bro i made this for fun
Long story short, Shelly didn't stop herself in time when they reached the elevator, resulting in a couple broken bones and machinery.
It was no secret that Vee and Shelly were in a relationship. If Gardenview was still up and running, well that'd be a different story—but it's not!
It was also no secret that they weren't… the best match.
Okay well back to the present!
Shelly had an arm wrapped around Vee's, a book about dinosaurs in hand. Of course. Always those dead reptiles. It … baffles and infuriates Vee with how much the shell drags them out. Just look towards the future, the past is the past. . . She should've left her feelings for the other in the past too, how annoying being stuck to her like this.
"Can you let go of my arm." Vee's voice was blunt, glaring at Shelly.
"Huh? Why?" Shelly tilted her head, shutting her book. "You… don't want to leave me, right?"
"When did I ever say that," Vee tugged at her arm, but Shelly kept a firm wrap around it, bringing her other claw into the situation, gripping Vee's sleeves.
"Vee…" Shelly whined, her claws digging into Vee's metal beneath the cloth. The TV rolled her eyes, of course she'd do this again. She looked around, no one in sight!
Vee patted Shelly's head, resting her hand on top of the shell.
Then she proceeded to shove the other's head on the bench's arm, causing a chip in her shell that oozed out ichor and making her roll onto the ground.
"ACK—!" Shelly hissed in pain, rubbing the back of her head as Vee stood up, doing a mic check to see if there really wasn't anyone around. Shelly's eyes were wide as Vee towered over her. Shelly was on the ground, and with how Vee was looking at her, it felt like she was something so insignificant. Not even alive.
It gave her some sick sense of admiration. Vee was paying… some sort of attention to her. Attention is love, it must be! She rarely got it from other toons. Oh… she loves her a lot! How sweet! (Holy shit shelly)
So while Vee was brushing off the germs she got from patting Shelly, Shelly bounced off from the floor and embraced Vee in another tight hug, cracking some metal parts from her sheer strength. Vee struggled, trying to claw, anything to get out of Shelly's grasp, but ultimately failed. "Get. Your. Hands. Off," Vee punctuated each word but stopped struggling. She couldn't struggle.
"Shelly. You two are a match made in hell— why stay?!" Tisha tried to reason with her friend. They were in the old abandoned floor the animators of Gardenview would do their job. "She clearly hates you and you're trying too hard for her! Just leave…" Tisha sighed.
Shelly's tail was rigid. "…Seriously?" She scoffed. "Tisha, I can't just leave her!" She was offended her friend would request such a thing. "She's the epitome of… perfection… if I just left her I'd never find someone better in this hell-hole!"
Shelly's eye twitched when she saw the slight recoil of Tisha's body language. The tissue box's face was slightly scrunched but her eyes showed pity. Annoying. Perhaps she ignored what Shelly had just said! Like everyone else. She sucked in a breath,"Excuse me," Shelly pardoned herself from the conversation, her tail twitching side to side.
"Just think about what I say for once.." Shelly could hear Tisha mumble faintly as she stomped away. Of course she listens to Tisha! Just not matters that involves Vee because they're perfect.
Oh right, Vee! Where is she?
Vee was chatting with her usual group of toons. Glisten, Brightney, and Astro. She seemed relaxed, similar to how she displayed herself in the cartoon. Her more likable side. The peace she had within herself was quickly grabbed by the throat and strangled violently the moment Shelly got in her presence and publicly displayed affection in front of the toons Vee respected. "…not now," Vee would whisper everytime the conversation shifted to a different toon speaking. Shelly outwardly ignored her requests, in fact, she squeezed her hugs tighter. It was frustrating not having someone follow her instructions which she has repeated numerous times in private and in public.
The conversation seemed to blur in Vee's head, overridden with embarrassment. Not the good kind, she genuinely wanted to bash Shelly's head in. She just wanted to leave. It was uncomfortable. It was clear the other toons in the vincinity has caught onto Vee's strained expression. A complete contrast to who she was mere minutes ago. They were a bit confused but didn't comment as it'd be rude.
After what felt like hours, Vee had finally gotten the two in a private setting. Her antennas were twitching as she shoved Shelly against the wall, "I told you, time and time again," her voice glitched. "DON'T DO THAT SHIT IN PUBLIC!"
"Huh? Wait — but Vee—" Shelly reached out her hand but Vee slapped it away, not caring for the pain she inflicted on Shelly as she recoiled her hand back, grabbing the spot affected with her unharmed hand. Being slapped by metal isn't exactly soft as one would imagine.
"HOW MANY TIMES?!" Vee didn't give Shelly time for the pain to go away as she grabbed her by the throat. She knows Shelly wouldn't harm her on purpose, so she was comfortable doing this despite Shelly being much stronger.
"I… don't…" Shelly gurgled, her hands trying to gently pry the hands that was almost adamant on strangling the life out of her. Of course, trying to gently pry it away doesn't work. "V….e…." Her eyes rolled, and just as she was about on the brink of unconsciousness, Vee dropped her and she fell to her knees, heaving for air.
While Shelly was still disoriented, Vee kicked her in the stomach, leading her to fall on her side and curl up. "Can you not listen to a boundary for once in your goddamn life?" Vee scoffed, listening to Shelly trying to catch her breath. Knowing Shelly, she's probably liking this because it's 'attention.' (Vee was right) and that made her system heat up more in hatred. She couldn't do anything to get her away. Ignore her, overly pay too much attention, get physical, nothing works. Breaking up though?… she'd rather grow a mouth and lick a cheese grater for some odd reason.
Vee dropped down to Shelly's level and grabbed the collar of her outfit. "I swear to whatever's above," she lifted a fist.
BAM
Her fist made violent contact on Shelly's head. Chipping it even. "Ve—"
Shelly's voice was blocked out by another hit. She could easily stop this. She isn't. She won't, it's Vee afterall!
Another hit and Ichor began to flow from Shelly's head. The pain was burning. Shelly could taste the bittersweet ichor dripping down from her head to her mouth as she tried gasping for air.
Vee kept hitting to vent out her frustration. By the end, her hands were stained with ichor and Shelly's face was ugly.
And just as she was about to blow off another punch, Vee gained a moment of realization, backing off and letting Shelly fall to the floor. She looked around for a capsule of ichor. Conveniently enough, there was one. Many were scattered around the rooms ever since the ichor operation.
She uncapped it and lifted up Shelly's head, helping her drink it up. Her hands was stained with basically Shelly's blood but her hands were gentle this time.
(CONTEXT: Uhhh in this AU basically ichor can heal toons and in cases intoxicate them if used too much and twist them if they make it a routine. One can still twist if they get fatally injured or emotional.)
Shelly's wounds closed up, but there were faint marks where Vee had hit her. "That's… good, I suppose," Vee whirred as Shelly slowly blinked her eyes open. "Are you okay now?"
"…mhm."
"If anyone asks about those marks on your head, just say you got injured due to your own clumsiness."
"Okay."
Shelly and Tisha were cleaning the dinosaur fossil replicas in her museum. It was a bit… tense, since they argued a few days ago, but nonetheless it was something to do besides going on runs.
"Shelly."
"…"
"What happened to your head?"
"Tripped and hit my head really bad," Shelly answered automatically, as if it was rehearsed.
"…I see."
…
"Not from Vee?"
"…huh?"
"You got that from Vee, didn't you."
Shelly tensed up. "Why'd you think that," she said with a subtle glare towards Tisha.
"Your first answer felt too off and with how you're reacting— I'm right, aren't I." Tisha stood up, clenching her fists, "Shelly you HAVE to leave her."
"No!" Shelly stood up as well, her tail lashing behind her. "There's nothing wrong with me and Vee— we're fine. Stop butting into my business!"
"Neither of you are good for one another," Tisha tried to reason with her friend, who seemed far too deep into it at this point. "Haven't you noticed how uncomfortable Vee gets around you? How you've been acting too? If you loved her you'd let her go or at least… communicate better— I dunno I've never been in a relationship!"
"Exactly!" Shelly roared. "You've never been in one!"
"I'M NOT BLIND, SHELLY."
Shelly was breathing heavily. She wanted to punch Tisha but… Tisha's basically her only friend, and that small rational side of her told her to not do it and she listened for once. "I don't care what Vee does."
"…what."
"She can kill me and I'd still love her, Tisha." Shelly spoke firmer. "She can beat me all she wants but I need her. If she asks to break up, fine. Okay if that's what she wants. I'd kill myself if she does— but she hasn't, that's the thing."
"Oh my God."
"I'm not leaving her."
"Oh my fucking god Shells. What could've possibly happened to make you this obsessed." Tisha backed up. Seeing this side of Shelly was weird contrast to the nice, innocent, and cheerleader she knew. "You… you're aware this shit is unhealthy and yet you choose to stay?!"
"If we breaks up, it's on Vee's accord." Shelly glanced off to the side.
"BUT THEN YOU'D COMMIT SUICIDE, IS THAT RIGHT."
"Yes. What else do I have to lose?"
Tisha felt a bit heartbroken at that comment but she continued on, "SHELLY. YOU'RE DOING THIS. FOR A ROBOT."
"She's more than her programming!" Shelly roared, stepping right up in front of Tisha's face.
Tisha scoffed as she backed up, she wanted to say more but she bit her tongue. Why waste energy on someone so adamant on ruining themself for an object. "…I hope you get better," the words tasted bitter as she walked out, leaving Shelly alone in her museum.
Vee on the otherhand, was chatting with Glisten. Usually about life or whatever drama Glisten had to tell. She was relaxed, her antenaes gave it away. Glisten couldn't help but comment.
"Y'know your antennaes always get droopy when you're like this," he hummed. "Did'ya know that?"
"Oh. Yea, I don't see it like this often," Vee nodded, flicking st the bent one.
"Is it 'cause of Shelby?" Glisten meant his comment to be lighthearted.
"What?" Vee's antennae sprang back up to their original stance, straight and rigid.
"Ah— see?? Your antennae just springs back up at even the mention of Shelby!"
"Shelly. Her name is Shelly, how can you get a name as simple as that incorrect," Vee didn't try hiding the new malice in her tone.
"I knew that!" Glisten clicked his tongue.
"What did you mean earlier," Vee was now watching Glisten closely. The tension seemed to suddenly thicken.
"Okay. Relax," Glisten backed off, his hands held high as in surrendering, "I'm just sayin you always get so… stiff when Shelly is around. Thought that's why you barely see your anttenae relaxed!"
Vee nodded slowly.
"…lately I've been kind of wondering why're you even staying with her," Glisten wasn't able to stop his thought from coming out of his mouth.
"…"
"…so?"
"I don't know." Vee mumbled. She didn't want to say what happens behind closed doors because it'd ruin her reputation but she has been pondering this thought for a while too. "I truthfully do not know."
"Then break up?"
Vee shot Glisten a glare and a disgusted look.
"Listen, girl, you get uncomfortable around her and overall your dynamic's kind of awkward. Break up or communicate."
"I've communicated."
"Then take a break?"
Vee leaned against a box. "I'm not breaking up with her," she stated without much room for discussion. She had hurt Shelly countless times and so has Shelly to her yet she could never bring herself to fully destroy the cycle. "We… can work out, trust me."
Glisten raised a brow but eventually let go of the topic to something more lighthearted.
Vee wanted to tell him about the things she did to Shelly. How each time it happened because of her own violent tendencies whenever her systems got overwhelmed, how many times she told Shelly to stop showing PDA, but she knew it'd be too much of a risk on her reputation and that Glisten would most definitely try breaking the two up, he has his ways.
One day, an incident occured during one of the runs Shelly was on. The elevator to the deeper floors had stopped in the middle of it and the crew was forced to take shelter on the floor the elevator had stopped at. Dandy estimated it'd take 3 days to get the elevator back up and running.
Three days without Shelly.
Vee was sitting in the lobby, untangling her tail. Normally, she'd get Astro to do this, but he's also trapped in the elevator. Her back-up would then be Shelly… but of course, she's also down there. She'd want Shelly to be her first choice, her hands were incredibly steady, gentle, yet firm at the perfect times, but most of the time she'd stay longer than she needed even when Vee insisted she was fine and wanted to be alone. It'd end up in a fight, too much of a hassle to deal with, really. Astro would help, check up a bit, then leave as instructed.
"…" Vee was having a little trouble untangling the wires because… she had to bend her arms an unnatural way to reach the compartment on her back. Fortunately she had pretty flexibly limbs, but that doesn't mean they have no limitations. She just knew if they were long enough she would be able to untangle her tail herself with ease. She should ask for help, but it'd feel weird getting any other toon to do it, especially when the wrong move could force a reboot or malfunction. After a few more attempts, she gave up. She'll ask when they get back.
Today, Vee decided to visit Shelly's museum and room. It was the same old, not very exciting, just felt… very off.
Too quiet. It created a rather creepy atmosphere, but Vee continued deeper.
She's unsure why she's reading the information about prehistory, she already has all of them in her memory. There was a whole section about prehistory in her gameshow. Her antennae flicked. "Oh. I remember Shelly saying this," she pointed to a line about the velociraptors, she was just thinking her thoughts aloud. Kind of weird, why talk if no one's listening?
Perhaps she should ask Shelly that, she does it everyday, must be a hobby for her.
…
"…Is that harsh to think about?" Vee whirred in thought, then she walked away from that section of the museum. Now that she thought about it, Shelly's voice is nice. Most of the time she barely registers what's Shelly is saying in real time, usually she just records them then rewatch those memories in her room to decipher what the hell Shelly was rambling about.
Oh right, she has some memories of Shelly downloaded.
Vee sat down on the bench and began digging through her memories.
"Vee!! Did you know—"
"Heyhey! Vee!"
"Veeeeee~"
…
Vee tapped her head, taking her out of her memories after going through a variety of memories. Maybe like… 12 or 14?
Her name sounds nice in her voice. Usually by now she'd hear it 3 times in person.
Almost unconsciously, Vee made a turn for Shelly's room. Shelly's bed is nice. It sinks almost immediately when Vee lays onto it. Her body was then promptly covered with dinosaur plushies and plushies of Shelly herself.
It's nice.
She plucks a Shelly plushie among the ones that now covered her body, holding it out towards the ceiling. It's made wonderfully. Hang on, is this even one of those mass-produced plushies? It looks sewn by hand. Shelly sews, right? She did amazing on this if this is her work.
Maybe she also sewed a Vee plushie.
… wait, she already gave her one. It's back in Vee's room. How long has it been since she's taken it out?
She'll examine it later.
Vee continued to soak in Shelly's room. She wish she could smell. Maybe it would be as comforting as others say so. "I think… I miss my girlfriend."
Vee turned her head to the side.
Tisha was there holding cleaning equiptment.
"…"
"…"
Tisha closed the door.
Well, back down the elevator, Shelly was getting more acquainted with the toons she was trapped with. Astro, Cosmo, Goob, and Boxten. It was supposed to be a short run, none of them wanted to be trapped there for three whole days. Shelly, wanting to fill the silence, kept talking about prehistory and Vee. No one listened intently of course. Why talk about those topics when you're trapped with twisteds for 3 days? There's more important things at hand.
Goob was stuck to distracting for the whole duration of those three days. Of course, Astro was on standby to replenish Goob's energy to keep him going forever. Well, it wouldn't help with the boredom, only Goob's physical.
Cosmo went off to try and gather some healing items.
Which left Boxten and Shelly alone to start up some of camp for the group. So, having a forced proximity partner, Shelly continued to run her mouth.
Poor Boxten was barely comprehending what the hell Shelly was saying. It went on for what felt like hours, her voice was burning into his head. It was nice, but it can sound like a mosquito circling you when she keeps talking like that.
"…Do you talk… about anything else," Boxten blurted out in a mumble, Shelly wouldn't have caught that if she hadn't stopped to take a breath.
"Hm?"
"Wha—oh! I'm— I'm so sorry! Continue," Boxten stammered, his key now turning.
She hears that a lot from Tisha, but now that it came from a toon she didn't know well was a bit embarrassing. Nonetheless, she tried to pay no mind to it and continued.
Cosmo had gotten back after an hour or two. Boxten had gone to sleep at this point, so has Goob and Astro. The camp was set up in a spot where the twisteds were sure to not walk by.
Shelly couldn't help but notice Cosmo seemed a bit more relaxed than usual.
"…you're staring," Cosmo hummed, glancing over.
"Oh! Sorry," Shelly perked up, softly apologizing. "You just seem… a lot more at ease than normal."
"I… I am?" Cosmo touched his face, a bit surprised himself. "Huh. Guess Ginger was right."
"Hm?"
"She said I seemed rigid around Sprout." Cosmo hesitated, "Listen, I love him, he's my best friend but … he can be so tiring to be around, y'know?"
"Uh…huh…" Shelly nodded.
"He's overprotective towards everyone, not just me, but I feel like he guards after me on a deeper level. I feel infantilized… I'm not newly created afterall. I enjoy being around him but he's incredibly clingy. I'm fine with it but he goes overboard sometimes."
"I see," Shelly looked to the side. "Have you talked with him?"
"Countless of times." Cosmo leaned back against the wall in exasperation.
Back on the surface.
Vee had stayed in Shelly's room that entire day. Of course, she had to do important things the following day, so she left, not without stealing a Shelly plushie to place in her room.
Because neither Shelly, Goob, nor Astro were here to help her move the boxes, Vee resorted to asking Glisten out of all people to help out.
"Soo…. what's wrong?"
"What do you mean?"
"Vee. We've been friends for years, I'd learn when you're fine and when you"re not based on your body language in that timespan."
Vee buffered, nearly dropping the box in her hands as she lowered it to the ground. "…it's Shelly."
"Oh?~" Glisten sat on top of a box. "Do tell me more."
Vee's tail twitched at Glisten's tone, but she needed to tell anyone at this point. "I can't tell if I… love her or not, it's confusing. One moment, I tolerate her presence, then another… I just want to destroy her and then it whiplashes back to me wanting her around."
"Uh-huh…" Glisten nods. "Isn't that like… cuteness aggression?"
Oh right. Glisten doesn't know Vee sometimes actually does get physical with Shelly, he still thinks Vee is just bluffing. "No. Nothing of the sorts, that's a rather stupid conclusion," she deadpanned. "… I don't want to hurt her anymore, but I can't bring myself to break up with her. I want her to be the one doing it, but I know she won't. Even if I punch, kick, choke, or anything, really, she won't let go. She knows I'm hurting her and she isn't letting go."
"You what?" Glisten's face drops.
"I abuse her." The words tasted bitter but it was the truth.
"Vee what the fuck?!"
"I know! But I can't control it—"
"Yes you fucking can, you don't make excuses for that type of shit!" Glisten's face was one of pure disgust, "This has been going on for a while right? The moment you laid a hand on her you should've broke up! I know you two have communicated about boundaries, you told me that before, and I've noticed she hasn't exactly abided your requests, but even so you do not abuse your partner! You break up with them like a normal person! You should break up now if you really want the best for her."
"…"
"Oh don't get so pitiful over yourself now."
"I know, Glisten, I've been knowing that."
"Then break up." His voice got softer because of how much he had exhausted his voice, it was already sore.
"I can't."
"Quit making excuses. Neither of you are good for each other!"
"I need her." Vee grabbed Glisten by his shoulders but he shook her hands off and took a step back. "She's the only one who'll accept me for who I'm truly am. She's far stronger than me, but she refuses to lay a hand on me that isn't gentle. She willingly lets me hurt her more than anyone else. I've missed this feeling ever since Gardenview closed and I can find it in her. Undivided attention. It's addicting. It's not my fault Delilah built me for the stage."
"…Go talk with Brightney and get some help," Glisten's entire view of Vee was destroyed by that speech. "I can finish whatever you have down here."
So, Vee left. Not to Brightney, but to her room.
…she really does love Shelly, but Glisten is right. She knows she can't get better, but Shelly can.
The three days went by quick and the toons were brought back up. There were a few toons waiting for their arrival at the elevator. The moment Goob stepped out, Scraps raced to her brother, shooting endless worried questions. Rodger was there to ask questions about what Twisteds were like during late times and their experience. Astro was quickly swarmed by the bookclub and Cosmo was immediately scolded by Ginger and Sprout when he took his first breath outside the elevator. Glisten and Poppy were quick to greet Boxten.
Shelly couldn't find Tisha, Teagan, nor Vee around. She understands them though, they're often busy. But it was a bit humiliating with how Glisten kept giving her glances that reeked of pity. Only him though. That's odd.
Oh well. Guess she'll just find and catch up with Vee!
"Let's break up."
"…what? Why— did… did you find someone out while I was away?"
"Nothing of that sort." Vee's expression was indifferent but her systems were going haywire. "It's—"
"Vee. Please. I won't cling onto you like a useless cub anymore. Please. Stay."
"Shelly. You can't keep going on like this."
"…huh?"
"I hurt you."
"So what? I hurt you back! We're equal!"
"It doesn't take a genius to notice that's obviously unwell."
"…"
"I had a wonderful experience with you."
Shelly doesn't know how long it's been since she couped herself up in her room. Vee actually ended things. She still can't believe it's real, it can't be, but she heard it coming from Vee's mouth. She didn't wake up after cutting into her skin with her claws either. Wow. Her eyes are dry yet overwhelmed with tears at the same time. She's been crying for a while. It hurts.
She sat up, tears dripping down her face.
There's plenty of Ichor capsules.
Tisha hummed as she made her way down the halls to Shelly's door. She heard the toons had made it back up today, but she didn't have time to visit when they did. She hasn't checked up on Shelly's room in a while either, she wanted to clean it 3 days ago but uh… Vee.
She gently opened the door.
Shelly was on her desk, writing something, most definitely about dinosaurs. The moment she noticd Tisha, she closed it and greeted her enthusiastically.
"Wow… your room is messy," Tisha clicked her tongue, looking around. "And it's your first day back! Ugh. Bet that TV didn't clean up after herself."
"Huh?"
"Yea, a few days ago I planned to clean your room when you were away," Tisha sighed, taking a seat on Shelly's bed. "Found that piece of junk sinking onto your bed with plushies comforting her. It was sad, and I didn't want to deal with that so I left."
"…"
"Shells?"
"Oh— sorry, zoned out a bit! Wanna help clean up my room?"
"That… was what I was planning to do, alright!"
Time passed quickly for Tisha, it didn't for Shelly. They said their goodbyes, Shelly gave Tisha one of her prized dinosaur plushies as a gift, and as soon as Shelly closed the door, the atmosphere dropped.
"Vee… make up your mind," she grumbled, looking back onto her notebook. She knew Tisha would eventually come to check on her today, so she decided not to do it right now.
Most toons weren't aware the two had broken up, but they noticed the weird glanced they kept giving each other. They didn't really give much thought to it though, a lover's quarrel is normal.
So now, Tisha and Vee are in the elevator, each trying to go to different floors. Vee had her arms crossed but her posture was quite relaxed. Tisha was holding her trusty mop closely to her chest.
The silence was awkward, but Tisha decided to try and better know her friend's girlfriend. (Well, ex, but she doesn't know that. Their breakup was only a day ago at this point.)
"Soo… why were you in Shelly's room?"
"Thought it was obvious. I missed her."
"…right, right," Tisha strained her voice, remembering why she had always wanted to pour a bucket of water over the clanker. "…guess I don't have to worry about Shells," she mumbled. Well, she didn't have to worry about Shelly commiting suicide because of Vee breaking up with her, not that she didn't have to worry about Vee hurting Shelly because she's aware of it.
"What does that mean?"
"Shelly said she'd commit suicide if you ever broke up with herr… uh. What's… what's the face for.."
Vee now had an intense look focused on Tisha, as if processing her words. Her screen display had wide eyes, her mouth now a straight line. (Why does that sound so goofy when i imagine it)
"…hold on." Vee tapped continuously on the button that led to Shelly's floor.
She bolted out the moment the elevator opened.
Tisha was left there, blinking.
"Shelly!" Vee barged into the room, nearly about to overheat and reboot due to how much she had exhausted herself to get over here. It was dimly litted, the only source of light coming from Vee's screen.
"Whaa…?" Shelly was on her bed, squinting her eyes at the sudden light. Is she hallucinating or is Vee back?
Vee hurried to close the door, not bothering to turn on the lights. She could see well in the dark with just a click of a button anyways. "How do you plan to do it."
"Do what?"
"Stop playing stupid, Tisha told me," Vee said harsher as she looked through Shelly's drawers.
"No… I'm fineVee…" Shelly rubbed her eyes, her words slurring into the other.
"It's not even that late, why are you so sleepy.." Vee walked closer to Shelly's bed. There was some sort of glass object beside her. "What's that."
"Hmm?"
Vee took Shelly by her shoulders and shoved her aside, taking the object in her own hands. An empty ichor capsule.
"Fucking idiot." Vee mumbled as she turned the object in her hand. Well that explains most of Shelly's behavior. "Stop drinking this," she tapped Shelly's head with the capsule.
"…mh," Shelly whined. In her vision, Vee was a lot of shapes and colors. She leaned forward towards Vee's chest. For once, she didn't shove Shelly back.
Vee supposes she'll have to watch over Shelly for a bit.
So Shelly twisted. Well, all of the toons did, eventually, so it's not entirely depressing. Good thing is, Shelly isn't alone. Vee continued to look after her, even with her mind messed to insane amounts.
Outcome 1 out of the 3 I have planned.
