Chapter Text
Mina was doing homework in her room well she was pretending to. She was actually reading one of her favorite romance novels. When she heard footsteps, she immediately put down her book and took a random peace of paper pretending to read it Eliza opened her door without knocking as usual."Mina dear Dinner is ready in ten" Mina nodded. When Eliza closed the door she looked at what she was actually reading "to my father" the first line read huh that was not her hand writing and the only person she had hung out with recently was her friend Jasmine as much as Mina is all for privacy. Especially when it was her own but...; "My mother is not coming back" Mina let a "yikes" past her lips. I mean she knew Arron Burr never remarried from her own father daughter talks but still "you swear you'll be around for me" well as much as Mina hated being kind and soft. She hoped Aaron was keeping his swear "But I will do whatever it takes and make a million mistakes to keep it safe for old folks like you" Mina snorted despite the heartwarming letter Jasmine just had to joke "ll do my best to make it a equal nation with Mina ill bleed and fight if I need to I'll make things right so I can be equal and everyone else can be and hopefully you can be proud of me. one day I promise-your daughter Jasmine"
Mina felt a smile appear on her face. Not only will Jasmine help with her plan to make sure woman could get equal rights and slavery could finally be stopped. When them both and Eliana are grown actually grown! And be able to do stupid without it being considered 'childish thoughts.' But she wrote a letter for whenever that will happen "one day huh. Wow Jasmine you always find a way to soften someones heart! Well i might as well make sure this gets delivered" Mina whispered to herself. About 5 minutes later Eliza called her for dinner. Mina shrugged putting down the paper and practically skipping over to the dinning room. That would probably cause questions in normal cases. But Mina was a person with a lot of energy so it wasn't a surprise. Next day in school Jasmine ran up to her "Mina did you see any piece of paper yesterday after I left?" Mina put her hand on her chin pretending to think "Hm no I think I have I will cheek again after I'm home" Jasmine nodded in thanks and continued searching. Mina came close to Jasmine's bag wrapping the paper in a blank sheet of white paper. Well blank except a little note of her own. Placing the letter in one of the pockets "One day is today for something at least" Mina whispered to herself. Jasmine was anxious she got home and searched her whole room like a mad woman. She hated writing so she really dint want to write yet another letter when she cheeked her bag then she found the note in her pocket. The only two who were allowed near her backpack where Eliana and Mina. In any other cases she would be next to them purely for safety reasons not because she didn't trust her classmates or anything. And Eliana did not go near her backpack so....Mina knew. She was going to strangle her when she next saw her. But then she saw her note was actually put in another paper she unfolded it, and the note read 'today is 'one day' JJ ;)' she was a little bitch, but Jasmine loved her and she was right.
Jasmine knocked on her father's door and opened it Burr looked up "what is it, Jasmine?" Burr asked well it was now or never Jasmine put the note on his desk "um this is for you but please read it after I'm gone it would be far to mortifying for me otherwise goodbye for now though" to say she nearly ran out of the room was an understatement. She was sitting down on her bed and reading a novel she was a nervous wreck. Heck if she was this nervous at letting her father read a letter to him then how would she be with a boy? She didn't hear her door open and suddenly she was hugged from behind "oh my sweet girl I'm so proud your speaking up for what you think is right" Jasmine sat up hugging him back. Maybe Mina was right
