Chapter 1: Meet The Constestants

Summary:

Just a thing to make visualizing characters easier if someone isn't used to them, along with reasons why they participated in the show. If any bios feel a little vague let me know and I'll change it up a little as soon as possible.
I tapped into a LOT of fan wikis to make this.

Chapter Text

ASHLEY (WARIOWARE)

Ashley is a very serious and static young girl who takes pride in her skills and capabilities as a witch. Having lived in a mansion without any parents most of her life, she relies on her imp minion (and only friend) Red to take care of chores like doing the laundry and washing the dishes. Ashley seems to hate everyone else around her, but that hate is there to mask how shy and lonely she often gets. Her hobbies are pretty standard for the average witch-in-training: practicing spells, and eating food. She hates anything cute, cuddly or pink, willing to actively threaten the adorable sight in question. Ashley says she joined “Total Drama” to use the promised wish to take over the world, when her true desire is to at least make friends no matter if she wins or loses.

BLOSSOM (THE POWERPUFF GIRLS 1998)

Blossom is the leader of the legendary Powerpuff Girls, saving the world before bedtime. She's often the voice of reason in most situations, but ironically, she's prone to bouts of fussiness and is quick to argue with claims she finds preposterous… similar to a 5-year-old… which she is. She joined “Total Drama” to prove just how smarts and resourcefulness can take you far.

BOYFRIEND (FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN’)

Boyfriend is a young, overconfident wannabe rapper who doesn't let anything stop him from reaching his goals, not even death itself. BF is highly unintelligent, hardly noticing when he's in real danger, still demonstrating a vast array of street smarts. He hardly speaks English around people, instead communicating in beeps and bops, only speaking English around people he's strongly used to. Most importantly… Boyfriend is an all around asshole! He never cares about the moral consequences of his actions as long as they result in getting what he wants. He joined “Total Drama” to earn extreme amounts of cash for him and his girlfriend named… Girlfriend.

BUTTERS (SOUTH PARK)

Butters is the most innocent child in the town of South Park, yet he's always treated unfairly by everyone around him, mainly because he rarely does anything to defend himself because of how naive he is. Butters is a very sweet young boy, even though like all the kids in South Park, he has a large streak of being a little bastard… The poor guy is also abused constantly by his parents, who ground him every chance they get. Why is this important? It wasn’t even Butters' decision to join “Total Drama”! His parents forced him to sign up and win the whole thing or else he's grounded.

CALLIE (SPLATOON)

Callie's the more cheerful half of the beloved pop duo, the Squid Sisters. She mainly sports an energetic and uplifting personality, welcoming everyone with a smile and treating them with nothing but kindness and respect… as long as they do the same to her! Callie gravitates towards more outdoorsy and extroverted activities like camping and arts and crafts. Despite how positive she can be, Callie easily grows tired of constant snarky comments and has a little bit of a rude streak herself, and there's a huge chance she's hiding more depressing secrets behind her smile… She joined “Total Drama” to connect with other people outside of her hometown, Inkopolis.

CHARLIE (HAZBIN HOTEL)

Charlie Morningstar is the princess of Hell, and more importantly, the owner of the Hazbin Hotel. Charlie spends most of her time trying to help all sinners redeem themselves and pass into Heaven, blissfully unaware of how heinous their acts were when they were alive. Because of how kind and compassionate she is on top of how rarely she puts her princess status into use, almost nobody ever takes her or her desires seriously, but her naivety doesn't stop her from defending herself when needed. Unfortunately, as nice as Charlie is, she constantly makes mistakes handling other people's feelings, being more focused on the success of her hotel… which is the exact reason why she joined “Total Drama”. To advertise her hotel to the living.

DARWIN (THE AMAZING/WONDERFULLY WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL)

Here we have another optimist to add to our cast of characters. In all seriousness, Darwin was once a simple pet fish who grew legs because of the sheer amount of love he has for his brother Gumball. Darwin not only has the desire to be happy and see the best in everything, but the desire for other people to be happy too. He's extremely morally grounded, preventing others from doing anything shady or morally wrong, and doesn't want anything much in his already happy life. That being said, Darwin shows bouts of extreme anger when pushed enough, being capable of resorting to plain violence. He joined “Total Drama” to make sure Gumball doesn't get into too much trouble with the more menacing castmates.

DOG MAN (DOG MAN COMICS/MOVIE)

Originally known as Greg the Dog accompanied by his human pal Officer Knight, a bomb accident resulted in Greg's head being sewn onto Knight's body, thus creating the supa cop known as Dog Man! The only difference now is that Dog Man has a human body, so he still acts just like a dog most of the time, being constantly playful, cheerful, and jumping on and kicking people he likes. Despite that, he knows when to get serious when the time calls for it, being caring towards everyone. He only joined “Total Drama” to wish for unlimited dog toys and treats if he wins.

EDITH UP (RAYMAN ORIGINS)

(Not much is canonically known about Edith due to her short appearance in the original game, so this bio will be based on physical appearance and mostly fandom characterization) As the Gourmet Fairy of the Glade of Dreams, Edith is known for her endless appetite and… significantly larger proportions than her sisters. Despite that, as a nymph, she is still loyal and kind towards every being that she meets, ignoring her harsher personality anyways. Most of the time, Edith cares more about food than the people around her, but she still knows when to be more serious when needed. She joined “Total Drama” so that people will see her as more than just an attractive woman and another one of the fragile beauties of the Glade.

ERIC (SOUTH PARK)

Eric Cartman is notorious for his narcissistic and unholy behavior, not caring if anybody dies of anything, but only focused on if what he does results in getting what he wants. Cartman is a broken child beyond repair, having been spoiled by his mother to make him into the monster he is now. Nobody knows why Cartman still has friends, but he's always seen tormenting the town of South Park one way or another, also being one of Butters’ main abusers besides his parents. He only joined “Total Drama” to make sure Butters doesn't win.

GUMBALL (THE AMAZING/WONDERFULLY WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL)

In short, Gumball is a highly mischievous, sarcastic, yet well-meaning cat living in the town of Elmore. He has an extremely large ego, which often lands him and the people around him into all sorts of trouble, also being the leading reason as to why he’s such a jerk. Despite his cynicism and jerky attitude, Gumball is rather optimistic himself, being positive in what to expect out of people and helps others without complaint…. Sometimes. He joined “Total Drama” because he thought it would be easy to win after binge watching the original series. Again, he has a really big ego.

HOMER (THE SIMPSONS)

Homer lives in the screwed-up town of Springfield where he works as the safety inspector at the Nuclear Power Plant… hardly even doing his job. Homer is a dimwitted, ignorant, fat and lazy man, often caring about his own interests rather than the ones of his own family. He always causes trouble for everyone around him, being a living danger to his hometown every waking moment, even though he would rather laze around all day eating snacks and drinking beer. Aside from all this, Homer genuinely cares for his wife and children, being a caring husband and father at the end of the day. As much as this one man endangers his home and town, he ends up saving it just as much. He joined “Total Drama” in hopes of providing a better life for his family, but especially for his wife, Marge.

KNEESOCKS (PANTY AND STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT)

Kneesocks is the more calmer half of the once evil, yet still mischievous Daemon Sisters. Just like her big sister Scanty, Kneesocks strongly believes that rules and restrictions will keep society in check and destroy the chaos brought by freedom. Recently, she and Scanty became maids for the Anarchy Sisters, Panty and Stocking, who constantly leave messes for them to clean up without any remorse, angering the two demons greatly. Kneesocks is usually never seen without Scanty, but she still values her own individuality, taking part in more introverted activities like journaling and watching movies. As calm as Kneesocks is, she also has a short temper of her own. Whenever she gets overwhelmed or upset, her face glows a brighter shade of red and she loses sight of her surroundings. She joined “Total Drama” to further expand on her capabilities as an individual and to better provide for herself and Scanty.

MINA (GROJBAND)

Mina is a fairly shy, introverted and naive teenage girl, who's BFF's with Peaceville's mean girl Trina Riffin, who treats her more like a slave than a best friend. All her life, Mina’s always been overshadowed by at least something or someone up until she met Trina, who was actually a lot kinder when they first met, but Mina stays with her because of the rub-off popularity she gets from being Trina's friend (not knowing Trina isn't popular at all) and in hopes that the nicer version of her BFF resurfaces someday. Mina has her own interests like reading and painting her nails with outdated colors like Mermaid Blue, but often puts the needs and wants of others in front of her own in order to feel acceptable. Similarly to Butters, it was never Mina’s decision to join “Total Drama”, as Trina forced her to win the promised wish prize and give her the $1,000,000 instead.

 NIFFTY (HAZBIN HOTEL)

Sadistic, unpredictable and just a neat-freak in general, Niffty's job is being the maid and cook of the Hazbin Hotel. Having originally died in the 1950's at the age of 22, Niffty as a sinner demon is extremely quick on her feet and heavily dislikes if there's any kind of mess. She’s HIGHLY attracted to bad boys, going as far as assaulting a boy if he isn’t ‘bad enough’ for her. With all her agility and strength, Niffty is very short, easily distracted and excitable, allowing many people around her to infantilize her, but when given a task, this maid will go by any means necessary to accomplish it. She joined “Total Drama” to accompany Charlie in advertising the Hazbin Hotel (along with meeting some bad boys if she's lucky).

PANTY (PANTY AND STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT)

Pantiel (Panty) Anarchy is the eldest daughter of Heaven's great rulers, but she and her little sister Stocking were kicked out for immoral behavior… but it doesn't seem like they want to return. Panty has more or less always been a shameless, overconfident woman who refuses to be held down by anything. She's obsessed with sex and has it as much as possible, aiming to f**k another 1,000 individuals after doing so to a previous 1,000. This girl has VERY low standards for partners. Because of her fame in her hometown of Daten City, Panty makes fun of people that she feels are beneath her, rebelling against any sense of authority given to her. However, people have been able to catch onto Panty's bitchery and called her out for her constant destruction of the town, and even worse, men stopped having sex with her! She joined “Total Drama” to wish for as many men she can possibly f**k and to be accepted back into society no matter what she does.

PLANKTON (SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS)

Plankton is one of Bikini Bottom's smallest residents, which is highly inconvenient for him since he gets stepped on by oblivious folks most of the time while on the street. Despite his size, Plankton is still very brilliant, creating a vast array of robots with varying results of how well they function. He's the owner of the Chum Bucket, known for its revolting chum-based food. Jealous of Mr. Krabs and his restaurant, The Krusty Krab's booming success, Plankton made it his life's goal to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula and rule the world! …But due to countless failures, joining “Total Drama” was kind of a last resort to make that dream happen.

POLYURETHANE (NEW PANTY AND STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT)

Polyurethane and his older brother Polyester are the self-proclaimed “Newgen Angels”, and more often than not, it's fairly hard to properly distinguish the two from each other. They both think highly of themselves because of all the fancy ghost-hunting technology they own, they constantly use Gen Z slang, they yell and thrash about when things don't go their way… really, the only difference seems to be how each of them look! However, Polyurethane remains as one of the more hot-headed of the two, having a more outspoken negative opinion on demons and other species who aren't angels like he is, and depending on the situation, he easily goes into a bloodthirsty frenzy. Again, he strongly looks down upon other species, which fueled his want to go on “Total Drama”, to show that angels (especially him) are the dominant race.

RED (WARIOWARE)

Red is the literal devil on Ashley's shoulder, being her primary guardian (and best friend) her entire life. He's outgoing, cheerful and always tries to look on the bright side, but despite that personality he gets scared quite easily. Red wants to help out anyone wherever he can, a huge contrast to Ashley who leaves people on their own and denies any other kind of friendship. The two of them spend their time casting spells and eating food, Red having more of a bias to sweets and more colorful foods. He finds the mere concept of being a constant on “Total Drama” frightening after watching the first 4 seasons, but he's here to protect Ashley from Chris and anything he tries to throw at her.

ROUGE THE BAT (SONIC THE HEDGEHOG)

How she’ll ever live down being breast and personality reduced by Sega remains a mystery… Rouge is a sassy, confident, manipulative and striking spy, switching between the sides of good and evil as long as it benefits her. Unlike Edith, Rouge absolutely lavishes in her beauty, using it to trick anybody into giving her what she wants, specifically the rarest of gems and riches. The gem that Rouge is fixated on the most is the legendary Master Emerald, angering its guardian, Knuckles the Echidna whenever she tries to take it. Regardless of her manipulative mannerisms, she does show a soft side towards the people she cares about, respecting elders and younger children… occasionally. And, about the Master Emerald… she would've joined “Total Drama” just to get it once and for all… but that would be too easy. Instead, she'd wish for even more riches to go pleasantly with the $1,000,000.

SCISSORS (NICKELODEON'S ROCK PAPER SCISSORS)

Scissors looks exactly like you'd expect: an anthropomorphic pair of scissors with sunglasses, a leather jacket, and greaser-esqe hair (which may or may not be a wig). He often tends to cut corners (no pun intended) and slice others down to size (also not intended) with his exceedingly sharp attitude (actually SOME of these are intended I lied). Scissors tries to be nonchalant and cool, but a look beyond those shades reveals that he's a total emotional wreck. He's exceedingly lazy and jerkish, selling out his best friends and roommates Rock and Paper countless times, and refusing to take care of a problem unless it manifests into threatening him directly. The entire reason Scissors wears sunglasses is so that nobody can see him cry, which is ineffective since people can still see tears falling when he inevitably does. As insecure as he is, Scissors still remains as the energetic and chaotic outlet of his friend group, caring deeply for Rock, Paper and anyone else close to him at the end of the day. What should be noted is that Paper and Scissors function more as enemies than friends, Paper this time betting that Scissors can't pay rent even if he tried. It just so happened that Scissors saw an audition opportunity for “Total Drama”, which he plans to win to pay rent and shove his victory into Paper's face! And maybe he'll meet some hot girls while on the show.

STICKS THE BADGER (SONIC BOOM)

Superstitious, insane, paranoid, and right most of the time are just some of the many words to describe Sticks. As a result of living in the forest most of her life, she’s a wild, free-spirited, and energetic girl with no common sense whatsoever. Sticks’ superstitions always come off as just plain nutty, from believing aliens are replacing her plants with violins, to thinking that she’s living in the normal universe while everyone else is closed off from it. Despite that, she comes off as extremely intelligent when in the right element, her wacky ideas usually uncovering that brilliance through equally seemingly illogical solutions. Again, Sticks does end up being mostly right about her abnormal fears, but due to her nutty nature (which she does recognize), everyone writes them off as just crazy immediately. Even though she has Team Sonic to back her up, Sticks’ social skills can always be better, coming off awkward to people who don’t know her as well as they do. Her constant superstitions and bouts of paranoia leave her stressed all the time, but what hurts her even more is everyone labeling her as insane the minute she speaks her mind, including her closest friends. In the end, whether ANYONE believes her or not, Sticks remains loyal to her friends and home, always prepared to protect them from the oddest of dangers. She joined “Total Drama” to expose the dark truths of reality TV, which she isn’t wrong about in the slightest.
