Aiden woke up in bed alone. Picking up the phone, he saw on the display "11:40 a.m., February 14th
He was already angry, James had gone somewhere, and so it was on valentine's day
A couple of minutes later, when he went out into the kitchen, he found James by the stove. He was still in his pajamas, but diligently cooking something, as if he hadn't woken up 15 minutes ago.
James heard footsteps and turned around, and when he saw Aiden, he smiled and beckoned the guy over. When he arrived, James hugged him tightly and kissed him on the cheek, then turned back to the stove. Aiden hugged the guy from behind and nuzzled into his shoulder.
"Good morning, sunshine! I'm sorry I woke up alone, I wanted to surprise you," James smiled, and Aiden just laughed softly.
"It's okay, even though I've already managed to get angry." Aiden smiled.
"Go to the bathroom, at least wash your face."
Aiden laughed sadly and let James go, going to the bathroom.
After Aiden returned from the bathroom, he saw that breakfast was already on the table. Scrambled eggs with bacon and coffee, considering that they usually just had coffee.
After breakfast, while James was loading the dishwasher, someone rang the doorbell, and Aiden went to answer it. There was a courier outside the door with a bouquet of flowers, handing the bouquet to the guy and letting him sign, he left.
"James? Did you order this?" Aiden smiled and returned to the kitchen.
"You mean the flowers? Well, yes," James turned to the guy, smiling at him. "There's another gift waiting for you tonight," James smiled again and went back to loading the dishwasher.
They spent the rest of the day on the couch watching TV, just because James insisted on it.
In the evening, James packed up somewhere, and forced Aiden to pack too.
When they were getting ready and leaving the house, Aiden finally asked where they were going.
"James, honey, so where are we going?" Aiden walked over to the car, and James opened the door for him, even though Aiden was already reaching for the door handle.
James got into the driver's seat, and Aiden was already in the passenger seat.
They arrived 15 minutes later, and James asked Aiden to look only at the floor. James got out of the car with Aiden, and then led him.
Having already reached their destination, James allowed Aiden to see where they had come to. An expensive restaurant.
They reached the right table together, and James, like a gentleman, pulled out a chair for Aiden, and after allowing him to sit down, pushed him back, after which he sat down in his place.
"James... I didn't think that you would take us to a restaurant, especially such an expensive one," Aiden looked at the menu, and turned his gaze to his boyfriend.
"It's a good restaurant, even though it's expensive..." James was looking through the menu, "You can order anything, I'm paying." James smiled and continued to look at the menu.
Aiden just nodded, he felt awkward in this restaurant, but James made him feel better.
And yes, Aiden only dared to order Caesar and wine.
Upon returning home, Aiden turned to James and finally asked.
"Listen, aren't you offended that I didn't give you anything?" Aiden watched James drive.
"No, your smile is already a gift for me," James smiled, and glanced briefly at Aiden.
Aiden just smiled back, and turned to the window, smiling shyly and unconsciously.
