Today was finally the day they were waiting for. Saturn and Eclipse had a date in an open field. Full of flowers, a river, mountains and the vast sky full of stars.
When they finished from the daycare they opened the portal and teleported to the field.
They sat under an almond tree. The blossoms had gone to sleep.
They were hugging each other, while eading about the constellations .
They couldn't know that destiny had other plans for them.
Far away the distance someone was observing their every move.
Saturn and Eclipse noticed two fireflies. She carefully stretched her hand. They landed on her palm. She smiled.
"What do you think?" Eclipse asked.
"Well this planet sure has many beauties. This is one of them".
Eclipse chuckled.
"You are so cute wifey" he pointed.
She blushed "Stoooop!!!" She looked away.
"You are even cuter!" He teased.
"Sweetheart!! " She gently pushed him.
They chucked.
Eclipse found a beautiful flower known as the Queen of the Night "wait, I'll go get you a flower"
He turned his back.
The figure kept observing, lurking in the dark like a hawk ready to strike.
Saturn was facing Eclipse looking at the flower. Her back exposed.
The figure braced themselves.
Saturn felt something piercing here waist and the device for the portal breaking.
She fell forwards with a gasp and a welp.
"Saturn?!" Eclipse turned and caught her.
He gently laid her down.
Eclipse pulled a small arrow from her waist.
"Oh no" she gasped. Her eyes widen. She knew that arrow. Eclipse saw panic and fear in her eyes. He panicked too and couldn't think clearly.
"It's okay. It's going to be okay". Eclipse said trying to calm her and him down.
Eclipse didn't understand the severity of the peril they were. But, she did.
She was immobilized.
She couldn't move her legs. Whatever that arrow had , paralyzed her.
"NO! We need to go. He is here!"
"Wh-?" He was perplexed.
She grabbed the device but noticed a second arrow.
"NOOO!!" she screamed.
Eclipse tried to help her. Soldiers approached them.
Eclipse saw them but, not him.
He stood in front of Saturn.
That's when she saw him. Neptune.
Neptune raised his weapon.
"LOOK OUT!!" she screamed.
Eclipse perplexed turned around.
That's when he saw Neptune. Eclipse didn't have time to react.
Neptune hit him across the face. Hard. Eclipse's face plate cracked along with his eye. He howled in pain.
"ECLIPSE?!" she called. Soldiers grabbed her.
"LET GO OF ME YOU IMPECILES!"
They raised her to her knees. Her knees were numb.
Neptune walked in front of her and looked at her.
"Dear sister. We meet again. I hope you enjoy the show I have planned just for you".
"Neptune.. what is the meaning of this. What are you doing?! Unhand me!"
"Keep your eyes here Moonfallen"
"Stay away from him!" She yelled. She tried to keep her emotions at check.
He made a signal to the soldiers. They gave him some bats. Each one of them started hitting Eclipse.
Eclipse covered his head and tried to protect himself.
They hit him everywhere for a good amount of minutes. His body had dents and scratches.
They tossed the bats to the side.
Eclipse couldn't fight back. He groaned and coughed oil.
He tried to get up. Neptune slammed his foot on his back. He felt his spine denting, cracking , some screws dislocating.
A couple of tears ran down his eyes. He looked at Saturn. Eclipse tried to drag himself close to her.
Neptune turned him with his foot.
He slammed his foot to his face. Cracking his faceplate more.
Eclipse groaned and screamed.
Saturn screamed while the others laughed at her - their pain.
"STOP YOU WILL KILL HIM!"
"This piece of metal has softened you Moon fallen".
Eclipse looked at her. Coughing and choking on his oil.
He stretched his hand to reach her.
Saturn teared up.
To the darkest parts of universe with the weakness. Her star was tortured before her and she could do nothing about it.
Neptune turned him with his foot grabbed a stone and started hitting his mother broad
Eclipse's eyes widen. He vomited oil. He started trembling. His hands and legs went limp. Danger messages appeared before his eyes.
Saturn heard his ragged breathing.
Then Neptune dragged him by the legs. He saw the river that was behind. He looked at Saturn.
She shook her head
"NOO!!"
Neptune smirked. He held Eclipse upside down.
Eclipse screamed.
With his good eye he saw the River.
"No.. no.. please.. Saturn..."
Neptune put his head into the river.
He pulled him out "Sat- *gurgle* ptu.. *deep breath* *cough* s-stop. S-st *gurgle*"
Eclipse struggled.
Neptune felt and saw his legs fighting hard to get free.
Neptune pulled him out. Eclipse took a deep breath and spat water.
"His eyes turned red "I'll rip your head off you bastard for everything You've done"
"I want to see you try" his voice cold.
He slammed Eclipse on a tree's torso, knocking the air out of him.
This time he dragged Eclipse by the shoulders and put him whole into the water.
Eclipse grabbed Neptune's hands and tried to push him of.
"I'll give you that; even after all this you are still struggling. You are a tough cookie as humans say".
Saturn heard the splashing, the struggle the groaning, the gurgling, the choking. Everything.
The struggle continued.
Eclipse pushed, scratched pulled Neptune's arms. He even tried to push his hands that held him under water with his head.
Eclipse managed to take a small breath before Neptune adjusted his handle and pushed him further.
Eclipse's body began convulsing. He felt the water going through his systems. His body going haywire. He saw Neptune's reflection from beneath the water. He heard Saturn's cries.
Eclipse's vision started going black from the corners of his visions. His strength abandoned him.
Saturn saw his hands trembling, convulsing, then going still and slowly slipping in the water.
Silence.
No splashing. No sound. Nothing.
Neptune saw some bubbles escaping the surface. After a while the water went still. So did Eclipse's body.
Neptune threw him before her. Like he was nothing. He removed a small knife from his boot and kicked him.
Saturn gasped. Not only by the sound of steel piercing metal - silicon. But by the fact Eclipse didn't react.
His blood (oils) oozed. Mixing with the water and the grass beneath him. Creating a small puddle.
Eclipse body was covered in dents lacerations, cracks. His stabbed side oozed oil. His eyes half opened and his mouth slightly opened.
Neptune looked at her. Hands behind his back. Body straight "That is what a Moonfallen gets. This Will be the fate of anyone who is unfortunate enough to cross your path. You will die and rot alone".
Saturn closed her eyes shut. She gritted her teeth , clenched her fists. She began feeling her legs.
The soldiers had tried her on a tree. She scratched the ropes using a small knife.
Saturn turned and headbutted him hard. Neptune lost his balance. She punched him hard on his face.
He was taken off guard and fell down.
He smirked "Till we meet again Moon fallen" She attempted to hit him again. But he already vanished along with his men.
She closed her eyes and breathed.
"Eclipse..?"
Silence
"Open your eyes" She shook his shoulder.
"Please..."
...
"Please..Open your eyes. Look at me" .
But he could no longer.
“AARRGHH!! ECLIPSEEE!!!!!”
She was alone on her knees before her Star.
Around her a deafening silence overwhelming her.
