Work Text:
There's nothing as Nostalgia, you know? It's curious how a simple thing as having feelings for the past can be influencing in so many ways.
Everyone had feel Nostalgia in some point of their lives—whether a place, an era, a phase you went through, or perhaps a piece of media you watched as a kid and now you remember with care and love.
Still talking about the last, that kind of Nostalgia has not necessarily be towards a movie or series, it can also be to a card, a comic, a letter, postal or sticker; also could be towards a toy, pair of socks, candy or even a character (and yes, the nameless ones do count).
Nostalgia can be felt towards practically anything, did you realise? Not only the aforementioned things, it can be also an smell, a sound, a photo, a song; even a texture, or light, or the patterns in a sweater.
Of course, Nostalgia is great, but also something you should be careful with—it also can cloud your view, memories, likes, and hide the truth to your mind; even making you idealize too much the old times (or put in a pedestal things that you maybe shouldn't).
What else can be say? That's all I know and can share; perhaps you know more about the topic than me, or maybe not, but that doesn't matter at the end. Everyone have or had the Nostalgia affecting their view about the world and life in one way or another, whether positive... or otherwise.
But between you and I, the whole truth is that no one knows more about their own Nostalgia than themselves.
Nostalgia is such a unique feeling, isn't it?
