He looks like the real thing

Work Text:

Ren’s mind hadn't stopped since he lost Akechi. The most tedious part of it was that it couldn’t be stopped, there was no fixing for that rotten spot. He purchased a plant two months ago. It was a plant with long green leaves, the kind you usually see in offices, the only difference being that it was a real plant. Watering it every day and exposing it to the right amount of light gave him the illusion of being responsible for its life. Taking care of it was an obligation he himself pinned on his mind board. But it was ugly, somehow. Once one leaf grew it would soon assume a pale color and then slowly deteriorate, every now and then he had to cut every branch and start to let them grow back again. He really believed that potting a plant every morning would replace the dread that was sitting on his chest like a bad omen, getting bigger and bigger every passing year, but not even a plant could dissipate the bitter flavor his life had taken on. Grief couldn’t be cut just like that, like a plant branch. Ren wished it could.
Is that plant the pathetic excuse to prove to yourself that you could take care of something without letting it die?
Ren pinched the lock of hair that was falling graciously in between his eyes, he curled his finger on it and slightly pulled it harder, pensive.
He didn’t have time to think about it, he had to open Leblanc early that morning instead of Sojiro, during the weekends he let the poor man rest. He glanced at the clock and ran across his apartment to prepare himself for the day and lock the gas in the kitchen. Having a new apartment all for himself was something he was not accustomed to, but it was cozy while having enough space despite it being small. He stared at his own reflection in the mirror of the corridor, he moved some lateral hair at the back of his ears, leaving a portion of his face visible and was ready to go.
“Wait for me!” Morgana ran towards him before closing the door and Ren looked at him, raising his eyebrow a little.
“I thought you were bored of staying all day at Leblanc?” Ren said and opened his bag to make space for the cat.
“Yes, I did, but the new Leblanc is funny and spacious. I can go to Futaba’s house later if I’m bored.” Morgana said and hopped in Ren’s bag.
“As long as you don’t wander around.”
Leblanc got bigger since Sojiro bought the closed neighboring store, repairs took a while but it was worth the wait, fortunately the bar didn’t abandon its cozy and familiar design, it just got bigger to welcome more customers.

“Good morning.” Ren said to the first client of the day while prepping the counter.
“Good morning, young man.”
The old man staggered to the table and sat down. He looked at the curly boy, still leaning on his cane, and after a moment of hesitation, decided to place his order.
“Bring me the usual.”
Ren nodded and began to prepare the machine, he charged it with coffee, loaded water and made it start. In a matter of a few minutes a tiny cup of coffee was on the counter, ready to be served.
A bunch of other clients stormed Leblanc in a matter of ten minutes. Crowdy day, today.
“Futaba!” Shouted Ren to make himself heard from the kitchen.
“Curry’s ready.” She triumphally emerged from the kitchen with two plates of curry, ready to be served.
“Where’s Kaori?”
“She’s mentally preparing to see you.” Futaba grinned and Ren looked at her with a question mark on his head. “She told me you flaked on her.”
“Oh… I totally forgot.” He mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck while looking half guilty and half not.
“You are terrible on purpose with girls.” Futaba said before going to serve the curry to the designated tables, something that Kaori should have done instead.
Twenty minutes passed by and Kaori announced her arrival from inside the kitchen with a barely hidden gloomy face, a tray in her hands and eyes still on the clients. She finally decided to work, thought Ren. Just for today he won’t tell Sojiro about it. He hoped the day would end soon, eyes glazing the wet trails on the wooden pavement brought by clients, and as soon as he thought he could finally rest with the relaxing ticking rain as background noise, his gaze caught himself wandering nostalgically on the black letters on the daily crossword from three years ago. He traced his handwriting with his gaze, the single letters were precise but if put together they appeared disharmonious, almost like a chaotic orchestra of words. He knew it too well. He has spent too much looking at that page. Ren took a deep breath before finally flipping through the other pages to solve the other crossword puzzles that Akechi had left behind. It wasn’t a difficult task, but for some reason he had never been able to get through that daily crossword puzzle journal. He spent a considerable amount of time solving the puzzles throughout the day between breaks, and without realising it, time flew by until closing time. He completely ignored Morgana’s complaints about how he spent his day wandering in the city when his eyes caught a circle in the last page. That circle, made with the blue pen he used that day, pointed to the name of a pub in Shibuya. Ren’s mind began to spin round and round trying to understand why he circled that place.
“Mmh? What is that?” Morgana asked, hopping on the counter.
The cat made a face when he realised what that was.
“Do you still think about him that much?”
Ren looked at Morgana with an indefinite face that the latter knew too well.
“I mean… I’m worried. Last time you took this little book you drank a whole bottle of whiskey, which is weird, since you’re not a great drinker.” Morgana corrected himself and lifted his little head to look Ren in the eye.
“I’m fine. I have completed it.” Ren said, leafing through the pages to show Morgana what he had done.
“That’s positive. Maybe you are finally getting over it.” Morgana said with a contained optimism in his voice. Ren felt a stinging sensation on the back of his head hearing those words with that tone of voice. He stood up suddenly, placing his hands firmly on the counter, without worrying about the screeching noise of the chair against the pavement.
“Go to Futaba’s place tonight, I’m going out with Ryuji and Ann.” Ren said with a more charged tone than usual.
“I didn’t say anything.” Morgana said defensively and immediately hopped down the counter to go out. “I hope this hang out will clear your mind.” He continued with a more worried tone before going.
Futaba and Kaori had returned home half an hour before Ren, leaving him with the task of closing up after finishing the last things.

“Maaan, the taste of this drink is fire, you should try.” Said a half drunk Ryuji with half his body on the pub’s table.
“This is mine, drink your own!” Said Ann in a complaining tone and quickly grabbed her cocktail back from Ryuji’s hands, then took a sip from the straw.
Ren looked at the both of them with an amused expression, one hand under his own jaw to hold up his head and the other on the glass containing his coca cola based alcoholic drink. He felt his head going dizzy every passing minute, Ryuji and Ann’s conversation began to fade away, until a question brought him back to earth.
“Anyways, Ren, how did you find this pub?” Asked Ann looking Ren in the eye without many thought behind her eyes.
“It’s hidden but it’s cool.” Said Ryuji in an attempt to straighten his spine but immediately folded and returned to the previous position.
“…in a daily crossword. It was an advertisement.” Ren muttered, stumbling in his speech.
“But it’s failing, no one is there, it’s just us and those two men. Something tells me you’re hiding something.” Said Ann pointing her finger near to Ren’s nose.
The curly man was a disaster in lying while drunk.
He giggled.
“An old acquaintance. I found his suggestion in the daily quizzes.”
“An acquaintance? Who?” Asked the blond man with a raised eyebrow.
“…”
Ren rubbed the back of his own head.
“Ren… is it Akechi?” Ann asked with a careful tone despite her being a bit tipsy.
“Yes.” He mumbled. “I have found it in that crossword book.”
Ann and Ryuji looked at eachother before speaking.
“Are you okay? Maybe you’re bored by working all day, I can understand, Leblanc got busy.” Spoke the blonde girl and raised the angles of her mouth in an attempt of a reassuring smile.
“I am okay, stop worrying. Morgana already did.” Said Ren, running a hand through his hair and letting his gaze wander around the room.
“So… how is it going with Kaori?” Asked Ryuji.
“I want to fire her.”
“Huh? Why?”
“She’s not working properly.”
“Come on man. Why do you care? She likes you and I thought you liked her too.”
“I don’t know. Something about her makes me back up and run away. I didn’t go to the date.”
“You are crazy! She’s so fine.” Protested Ryuji looking at him like he’s a monster with three heads.
“Yeah, I’m with Ryuji this time. She’s such a cool girl, you should give her a chance.”
The black haired man asked for another drink instead of answering right away.
“And what about you two, any girls?”
“I have no chance with that barista, she is totally ignoring me every time I'm there.” Said Ryuji with a saddened expression.
“And I am still single too, I’m living drama after drama.” Ann complained and sighed.
Ryuji and Ren sat up straight to hear about Ann’s love troubles with Shiho. Half an hour and another round of drink passed, everyone was so hooked to the conversation that none of them felt the time passing.
“We are sooo losers. And Ren gets game. He doesn’t even want it! I’m envious.” Said Ryuji with too much passion, banging one’s fist on the table.
“Shhh, you lout! They will kick us out.” Whispered Ann to Ryuji.
Ren looked down on his glass, a rising frustration resurfaced and got visible on his clenched fists.
“I don’t care. I don’t really care about how many people are interested in me, I don’t want them to be interested!” Ren raised his voice, leaving both of his friends speechless for the sudden shift. “No one is him, I can’t find him in anyone.”
Ann moved her chair closer to the curly one as soon as she saw tears forming in his eyes and placed a hand behind his back without saying anything.
“I don’t know why everyone wants me to forget about him like it’s some easy task or as if he’s just someone insignificant. I don’t want to forget.” He said in between tears streaming uncontrollably down his cheeks.
“Ren… no one wants you to forget about him because he’s insignificant. We are telling it for your wellbeing.” Ann tried to comfort him in the softest way possible despite the alcohol running through her circulation.
“Dude, that’s intense. I didn’t know you were feeling like this lately.” Said Ryuji, slouching on the chair. “But three years have passed. I mean, at this point he’s just dead.”
“Sometimes I wish he was really dead, trust me. I have tried to pretend he just died that day in Shido’s palace, because it’s easier that way. But I saw him. I promise, I saw Akechi Goro. My heart hasn't rested since then and that’s why I will never know peace.” Ren said with a note of frustration in his teary voice, the tears stopped running down his wet face. He grabbed his cocktail and drank the remaining dry.
“I don’t think that’s healthy, Ren. We are deeply concerned about you. Like really really concerned. I don’t know if what you saw was truly him… but I trust you.” Ann said with a concerned face, her hand slightly trembling on his back. “It’s not healthy to cling onto this thought and to pretend he’s dead. You have to go forward, Ren, please.”
“I’m really sorry for you, man. If you ever need a hand or a shoulder you can count on me.” Ryuji said with sincerity.
“Thank you, Ryuji, Ann.” Ren said with a muffled voice, wiping away the remaining tears.
“Love is such a difficult thing, sometimes I feel lucky to not have anyone interested in me.” Ryuji said, sighing. After that, it seemed like he went on a sleepy coma.
“Look at this dumbass.” Ann said to Ren, referring to their snoring friend.
“Are you not drunk too?” Ren asked, seeing Ann being conscious.
“A little bit, I can still think. You know I can handle alcohol very well.”
The curly man smiled. He observed the bar, its muffled lights were cozy, giving the reddish and white colours a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. It was busier than one hour ago, couples were sitting together and enjoying their drinks, lovingly talking and looking at each other. He wondered why Akechi had marked this place on the paper, was it because of the relaxing atmosphere? Throwing away your thoughts in a place like that must feel nice, unlike what he did instead, crying and remembering painful feelings. But a sweet feeling did emerge, amongst the myriad of negative thoughts, by looking at a couple kissing. His mouth hasn’t rested since the moment he knew what Goro’s lips felt like kissing him, that rainy night. He was running looking for a repair, his hair and face were wet under Ren’s umbrella and after probably seeing what the curly’s pathetic eyes were like while looking at his face, he leaned for a kiss. A gentle kiss that no one mentioned ever since. It was certainly a manipulation tactic, but oh boy, Ren did get manipulated well, the memory of his wet hair against his cheeks was vivid and impressed in his mind, he was still feeling it on his face. He put a hand on his face, feeling his own ears getting hot red. Ann looked at him with a curious expression.
“I’ve never told anyone this but…” Ren said hesitantly, his eyes locked on the drinks, “Me and Goro kissed, once.”
“Oh!” Ann exclaimed and suddenly sat straight on her chair. “Why didn’t you ever tell me? When did it happen?”
“It happened during autumn, I don’t remember when, precisely. We have never discussed it since then.” Said Ren and he looked at her with a slightly raised eyebrow seeing her excitement.
“Maybe because you were both embarrassed about it. What a pity! Or maybe it was better that way, remembering what he did after.”
“I don’t know what to think. Anyways… you and Ryuji are right, I should forget about it and live my life.”

Mondays were always blue. Ren lazily looked at his International Law professor who once again derailed from his session to talk about his personal troubles with a German lawyer. His thoughts drifted to the message he had received a short while ago from Chihaya Mifune while the professor was still explaining the countries relations. He hadn't heard from her in a long time. How many months had passed? Ten? It was almost a year. She said she woke up with a premonition for Ren and urged to make an online read for him cause she was 100% sure the universe carried a special message, which it was, judging from the tarots, going out after uni, possibly in Shibuya.

To: Chihaya, From: Ren
Is that it? The special message from the universe?

From: Chihaya
Yes. You will find something you have lost a long time ago, I am sure of it. You have to go today or you will never find it again, or at least, that’s what I am personally feeling. If you don’t want to listen to me it’s okay but I warned you.

Re: Chihaya
Or someone.

Ren scratched his head. He hadn’t lost anything in Shibuya, he hadn’t been there for a while. But something in his own spirit said he should listen to Chihaya and go for a walk.

“Hey, how are you?” Asked Makoto as they both descended the stairs leading to the university entrance.
“I’m fine, a bit sleepy, though. How about you?“ Asked Ren while stopping in front of the automatic coffee machine.
“I’m good.” Answered Makoto and started to search for money in her wallet for a coffee. “Ann told me you and Ryuji were drunk last week.”
“She was drunk too.” Said Ren and gave a coin to Makoto.
“Oh, thank you. My head is exploding, I really need this coffee.” Said Makoto before inserting the coins in the machine. “So you had fun last week? I’m sorry I have declined the invite but my group project is taking away all my time.”
“You should rest, for once. I have group projects too but I give myself a little rest sometimes.”
“You know me, I’m the workaholic type. But I’ll try.”
Ren drank his own coffee with a little bit of anxiety rising in his body. He wondered why, all that eagerness to leave that building and go to Shibuya to find out if Chihaya was right was a little absurd.
“I need to go pick up a parcel, call me whenever you want to hang out.” Said Ren and waved his hand before speeding out as soon as he heard the brunette saying bye. He felt sorry for leaving her like that, but if he didn’t go right at that moment he would have felt even more nervous.

Shibuya was restless as ever at that hour of the day, everyone was out on their lunch break despite the dark clouds threatening to rain at any moment. He traversed calmly from the station center to Central Street despite the reckless curiosity that was animating his soul. He wandered from store to store, looking for books to read or nostalgically staring at the soft-air store. He was tempted to enter to greet Iwai and have a little chit chat but his laziness said no. He sighed, there was no trace of the thing he had lost in the streets or in the stores, so he sat down at the new fast food restaurant that had opened in place of Big Bang Burger. He ordered a regular size hamburger with fries and cola. He couldn't remember exactly when he had last eaten at a fast food restaurant. Lately, he had been focusing on a more healthy lifestyle, his side work in the countryside consisted mostly in physical labour; he worked with an old carpenter, his only job was to lift heavy wood and objects that this grandpa couldn’t lift, and Ren took advantage of that job to work out at home. Even though he hadn't deprived himself of his comfort foods, he had never set foot in a fast food restaurant. He observed the people sitting eating, hoping to see a familiar face but all he saw were unknown people he had never seen stuffing themselves with junk food. In a matter of, surprisingly, ten minutes, the serveur yelled his order number and the food had been delivered to his table. He devoured the burger first, and left the fries to be calmly enjoyed with ketchup and mayonnaise together. Still nothing. He picked up his phone and stormed into Chihaya's direct messages.

To: Chihaya
I’m in Shibuya. I haven’t found anything and nothing happened to me, yet. I think your fate is not working.

Ren took the trail to throw it in the trash and left the restaurant. Time to go back. He gained nothing from it, just a delicious burger and the experience of a fresh novelty in the street by looking at the new stores. He looked at his own shoes while traversing the street amongst the crowd, they were too consumed, he thought, it was just the perfect time to buy a new pair. But then he raised his head, and it was the best decision he had ever made. His heart rate skyrocketed within the first two seconds of realising what his eyes could not believe they were seeing. He accelerated his pace, frantically pushing and dodging people aside, he was certain it was him, the tone of his hair was that light brown that could be mistaken for ashy blond, his walk was just like he remembered.
“Akechi!” Called Ren loudly, his heart accelerated even more, if that was possible, when he didn’t turn.
Out of breath he grabbed his wrist, maybe too fiercely in the attempt to absolutely not lose him another time. That stranger who Ren was certain was Goro turned around, alarmed. His red eyes looked at him with disbelief, his body still.
“Amamiya.” Goro just said. Then there was a moment when he came to his senses and shook the curly man’s hand off his wrist.
Ren quickly put himself together, remembering the world around him and as soon as he saw that the traffic light turned red for pedestrians he contained his own spirit with everything he had in him to not grab his body again to run to safety.
“It’s red, let’s go.” Said the curly and quickly ran back to the side of the sidewalk he was just leaving before.
He stared with thousand eyes at Goro traversing the street to where he was, he didn’t even care about how embarrassing he looked, all he cared about was that Akechi Goro was there with him, willing to follow his steps.
“Let’s go to a cafe, we have a lot to talk about.” Said Ren.

A patisserie cafe was agreed by the two of them, now sitting in front of the other. Akechi looked everywhere but at Ren, he was different, almost looking guilty. He had dark circles around his eyes, his bottom lip was all bitten and had skinned parts.
“I’m-”.
“I’m sorr-”.
The both of them interrupted each other as they were both speaking at the same time and the brunet nervously laughed.
“You go first.” He said.
“I’m surprised to see you there, in Shibuya.” Ren said, nervously fidgeting its own black ring on the index.
“I was just passing by to deliver documents to an old colleague of mine, back when I was a detective. I’m in Tokyo just for a couple of days” Goro responded, his eyes finally looking at Ren's. Here it was, that conceived look that he used to fake any emotion he was feeling.
“So you’re not a detective anymore, why?” Ren asked, surprising himself with being that direct.
“I’m studying sociology at a University outside of Tokyo, I have no time to work as a detective. What about you?”
“Sociology? That’s new. I am studying law here in Tokyo.” Answered Ren and took a sip of his own coffee.
“I am surprised, law is a very theoretical and mnemonic subject, but given your strong sense of justice I should have nothing to be surprised about.” Said Goro with a light voice, the little smile that usually accompanied that tone was absent. His face was still, like a cold porcelain doll. Ren didn’t like that coldness.
“Where have you been all this time?” Ren asked ignoring the subject.
That question was waiting to be made, suspended in the air like a toxin.
The brunet took a brief moment to answer. “I didn’t want to disturb anyone’s peace with my presence.” That answer was said with an alarming slowness, as if he was fighting himself in the process to stop saying it out loud.
“What does that mean?” Asked Ren, sitting at the edge of his own chair.
“…”
“Goro.”
“Since when do you call me Goro?”
Finally. Something happened to his cold demeanour, an annoyed expression, an unfriendly tone. Ren preferred this sincere anger at that fake calmness.
“Why can’t I call you Goro?” Ren looked at him almost like he was challenging him.
“Because we are not close anymore. I didn’t do everything I could to avoid you and your friends for you to come and call me by my first name.” Said Akechi unpleasantly, his knuckles turning white.
“So you avoided me on purpose.”
“Yes, I admit it. I avoided you to make our lives easier.” He said with a more neutral tone than before, visibly trying to soothe himself from the feeling of frustration, but his red eyes were cruel as ever, piercing holes on Ren’s face like cigarette burns.
Ren felt offended by what he said, a tingling sensation manifested under the skin of his face, his expression became more severe.
“Our lives easier, you said? Don’t fucking assume what I am feeling, you can’t decide for me.”
That was maybe the first time he talked like that to Akechi during all their acquaintance. Akechi may have yelled, betrayed him, shot him and died and Ren never lost his patience. That phrase was too much to digest, that was where he drew the line. The brown haired looked hesitant for a moment, those words and reaction may had moved something in him, but it was brief.
“And what are you feeling exactly, can I ask?” He coldly asked, legs crossed and a straight posture, on the alert.
“Quite the contrary.”
“Which is?”
“You are making it too easy, I’ll tell you if you go out with me.”
“We are already out, though?”
Ren sighed and put a hand on his own chin to hold his head on the table. He didn’t reply immediately, he looked at Akechi with a little smile.
“You really don’t understand huh? Are you or not a detective?”
“I’m not a detective anymore and…” Goro paused when he finally understood by watching his stupid expression. “…Oh, don’t tell me you are still attached to that kiss.”
When he didn’t receive an answer, he quickly avoided his gaze for two seconds and then looked at him again with barely controlled angry embarrassment.
“I was manipulating you, Amamiya, I can’t believe you’re this idiotic.” He crossed his arms and furrowed his gaze making it more judgemental.
“You lied too many times, I don’t know what’s real and what’s not.” Ren said. He felt that there was a little amount of genuinity to that kiss, giving the outline of their strange dynamic. He could have manipulated him in any way possible. Resorting to that while being two boys was so unthinkable in that society that the idea of him being manipulated had always felt so distant. There was no indicator that Ren liked boys too, so he genuinely couldn’t understand the mental process Goro had made at that time. An imperceptible sound of a vibration coming from Akechi’s pocket filled the atmosphere and when he didn’t pick up, various other vibrations resonated, indicating that he was receiving a lot of urgent messages.
“Answer your phone.”
“I will answer whenever I want.”
Ren found it suspicious.
“Anyways, I gently decline your off-” Goro began to say after moments of silence, only to be interrupted by the curly.
“Come to the jazz club, Friday at 9 pm.”
“Do you think I’ll say yes? I’m seeing a girl, so don’t get the wrong idea.” He said harshly, arms crossed on his chest.
Ren’s entire world fell off and crumbled in a matter of seconds. His grip on his cup of coffee tightened and he looked down to stare at whatever was interesting on the table. A girl? He wasn’t buying it, but the entire idea of him being with someone else made his guts churn, as if his intestine had been tied in a strong knot.
“A girl? That’s news. But you’ve got the wrong idea, I’m not asking you on a date.” Ren saved his face with a secure tone of voice, his gaze unwavering on his face.
“That’s still rather audacious.” Goro said and collected his things in his coat’s pockets. He stood up and took his own patisserie that he didn’t eat to preserve it in a piece of paper to probably eat later.
“I have a meeting to attend. Goodbye, Amamiya.” He said coldly.
“Goodbye.”
Ren put his hands to his own face and then ran his fingers through his curls. He hadn’t felt this much stress in months. He just met him after three years and did everything wrong, he didn’t even ask for his new number.

Working was his new way of escapism, the pure countryside air mixing with the smell of wood was enough to make his mind wander in calmer waters and clear any negativity that his complicated feelings injected in the air like a virus. He placed the last tree chunk on the truck and signaled his boss that it was all set. He dried the sweat that was sitting on his forehead and brought back his black hair to make his skin breathe some fresh air. Seeing the maremman dog approaching he laid his hand to pet its fluffy head and smiled at it.
“Boy, are you free on Friday evening? I have some of the furniture of that Kyoto client ready to deliver.” The man asked, removing the baseball hat from his head.
“Sorry Mr. Yamada, I have an important university meeting to attend on Friday.” Ren apologised.
“It’s alright, don’t worry, you are always so available, I can concede this to you. I will call that reckless American who never shows up to do the job.” Said Yamada. He searched in his jacket’s pocket with a hand to give Ren his money. “Use this to give a gift to your girlfriend.”
Ren smiled with a bit of embarrassment and nodded. “I will. Thank you.”
He walked outside the gate and saluted his boss before opening his own car and making its motor start. The ride was long, but unlike most drivers, he loved driving. He was a fairly careful and disciplined driver, despite the way he drove recklessly in the metaverse. He could afford to pay attention to the road while observing the natural landscape on either side of the road, which was what he loved most about long trips. Listening to his favorite rock artists usually made him charged with vitality while driving, but as soon as the Arctic Monkeys songs hit up his car, the mood changed to nostalgic and yearning. He wondered, while listening to “Secret Door” , if he would see Akechi on Friday night. He didn't give any positive response, he didn't even have his phone number to be sure he would be absent. But Ren would show up anyway, at that jazz club.

Friday evening made its announcement with a dramatic phone bell. His reminder to start dressing and preparing himself. He nervously stood up and ran to the kitchen to first close the fire to his food. He forgot about it so he almost burned it, what a fool.
“What’s this smell, Ren, open the windows!!” Morgana shouted and coughed a little. He ran towards the windows to breathe some fresh air.
Ren did as asked and quickly opened the window of the kitchen and of the living room. Moments like that were the worst for his adhd, anxiety and excitement made a bad combo for managing his tasks. Amongst the chaos and the undecidedness of eating first or wearing his clothes he managed to at least choose the clothes to wear and was now ironing the light black shirt.
“Your mind is everywhere but here, I have never seen you this thrilled and distracted over a date.” Morgana said after sitting on the nearest piece of furniture.
“It’s not a date.” Ren commented, his eyes focused on the task.
“Yeah, sure…” Morgana said to Ren teasingly. “I really hope he shows up. If he doesn't I will find him and scratch all his body.”
Ren giggled at what he said, proceeding to iron the pants.
“It’s impossible to find him, he lives outside of Tokyo, he didn’t give me his number and everything is shrouded in mystery. Who knows how and who rehabilitated him into society.”
“Never underestimate a cat, I will find a way.” Morgana answered and looked at Ren’s discarded clothes. “The dark red shirt is better in my opinion.”
Ren stared at the shirt in question and a brilliant idea crossed his mind. “Morgana, you're a genius.”
In a matter of twenty minutes he ate his chilled food, ran to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wore a red shirt, an open black gilet and black pants similar to those made of leather. He wore his edgy rings and a necktie before spending the actual time on his hair. He then realized that he would have his hands wet so he removed the rings on the sink and started to style his hair with water and curls cream. He dried his hair with the diffuser and in a matter of ten minutes he was ready.
“The rings.” Morgana said.
Right, the rings. He dried them from the water that was on the sink and wore them again. He then sprayed on his perfume and put on his leather jacket. All this for someone who didn't know if he would ever come. He left the house after leaving food in Morgana’s bowl and sprinted with his boots to his black little car. Being a university student with two part-time jobs that paid peanuts was certainly not the right situation to buy a cool car. He drove to Kichijoji with a lot of questions in his own head, feeling like an investigator involved in a cold case. Akechi had always been a mystery to everybody but himself, and it was his objective to uncover everything he had hidden from him all these years apart to regain his “I know Akechi Goro more than himself” status.
Fifteen minutes had passed from the appointed time and if it was even possible, other more questions stormed his head. He waited at the entrance, his back against the wall and youtube on his phone to entertain himself, he couldn’t even focus on that unpacking card video, the words “he won’t come” repeatedly popped up in his consciousness.
“Interesting.” A familiar voice from his non visible angle startled him, his phone almost jumping from his hands.
“Akechi? What are you doing here?” Ren said in a moment of confusion and stared at him like he was not supposed to be there, but at the same time, he was so relieved that his anxiety suddenly shut up.
“What do you think? It was you who asked me to hang out, idiot.” He said without the usual hostile tone of voice he had used the last time.
Ren smiled like it was Christmas. The brunet had his hair graciously tied in a small low tail, he was wearing a white shirt under a beige leather coat. The dark circles that worrily adorned his eyes were not visible anymore, he was in a better shape than monday, that’s for sure.
“Let’s go in there.” Ren said after carefully examining his entire figure and opened the door for him. For a hang out that was not a date, it certainly looked like one.
The waiter accompanied the both of them at the designated
table, it was small but the emplacement was rather cozy and intimate. Ren shrugged when he saw Akechi looking at him
questioningly. This time he hadn't done anything on purpose. They both dismissed the menu, knowing already what drink to take, and after the waiter took their order, the curly man removed his jacket. He felt Goro’s eyes making holes on his entire figure.
They spent the first twenty minutes talking about their new lives and the difficulties that they encountered in their daily life while stealing glances. Ren could still not believe that after three years he was sitting at that table with jazz music and Akechi’s voice carolling in his ears, when he talked, everything around them ceased to exist, even himself.
“Why did you accept my invitation? I thought you wouldn’t come.” Ren asked and distractedly drank from the straw.
“You thought I wouldn’t come, yet here you are.” Akechi said with a mischievous smile.
“I’m betting you wanted to come from the start but you preferred to instill doubt in me and mess with my patience.” Ren said with a small sneering grin.
“You just lost your bet. I didn’t want to come, but a part of me was curious about what stunt you’d pull at this appointment. So I ended up giving it a chance.”
“I don’t know if I want to trust you.”
“Don’t trust me if you want. It’s always better for you to not trust me in the slightest.”
“But I trusted fate to let me find you again.”
Akechi looked at him with slightly furred eyebrows. He was about to slap me, Ren thought.
“You became even more disgustingly sentimental than before. This so-called fate was a mere coincidence, otherwise you wouldn’t have seen me anywhere, since I don’t want to feel your emotions on my skin.”
“So the reason is mainly me and my emotions. Why don’t you like them?” Ren asked the most important question that haunted him for years.
“They’re sticky, I feel disgusted and unable to fully know how to feel. I don’t understand why they’re directed towards me. You should… hate me.” He said the last part looking away.
“I could never hate you, Akechi.” Ren said softly, looking at him with saddened eyes. He felt his throat tightening and took a deep breath from the nose to loosen it up.
“Why?” The brown haired man’s voice faltered, looking at the curly man with a hurt expression.
“I don’t need a reason to not hate you. I know this would anger you and you will tell me that I’m mistaken, but I know the true you.”
Ren felt his heart ache more and more during that conversation, sharp thorns adding to that deathly grip. He didn’t even know how they had ended up discussing it in such an emotional way.
“My true self is a despicable being. I genuinely don’t understand how you could like me if you claim to know my true self.” Akechi said with a lump in his throat that he was trying hard to suppress.
“Maybe I’m a mad man. Maybe you’re not that despicable. But if you don’t really want my feelings, I will take a step back and don’t talk to you again. If that’s really what you wish.” Ren said sincerely. He didn’t want to make anything that would make Goro uncomfortable, that would not even be his last wish. But if there had been a part of him that wanted, even a small part, his disgusting feelings, Ren would have been ready to take another bullet for him.
“Let’s change the topic, I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” Goro said, sitting straight, dismissing every emotional thought.
“Okay.”
“And stop looking at me like that. You look like a beaten dog.”
Ren adjusted himself and scrubbed the back of his neck, sometimes he was not able to control his facial expressions. A silence filled their table, they were both listening to the jazz, lost in their thoughts, and occasionally drinking their cocktails.
“So tomorrow you’re going back to Yokohama, right?” It was Ren who broke the silence.
“Yes. My new life is there. They gave me the most horrible university amongst all.” He said, sighing.
“Is it that terrible? Why don’t you like it?”
“The structure is ugly, the people there are boring, sad and useless. I think they are sad because that university sucks. I know I have done wrong, I’m a criminal and son of a now criminal but sometimes I miss being Akechi Goro. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be that celebrity anymore, but I used to have the best of all things. You can call me spoiled, if you want, I don’t care. Living that life of luxury after what my childhood gave me was brief.”
“Well, it’s understandable. Living a life that was up here and falling down on a sad poor life is a big change. Now you can understand the life of this trash attic.” Ren said ironically, referring to what he used to call him back then.
“This trash attic now lives in an apartment all by himself. I can’t believe you’re better than me.” Akechi said, crossing his arms.
The brown haired man looked around themselves and almost jumped from his seat. He turned his face in the opposing way of where people could come and go to pay and Ren turned after a while to see who he was hiding from, and saw a familiar hair. Goro leaned forward on the table to be closer to Ren who laid his ear.
“It’s Sae Niijima. It was her who took care of me when I came back alive from Shido’s palace and made sure to hide my identity and my actions in the metaverse. She sent me to Yokohama, if she saw me here with you I would be in trouble.” He whispered near Ren’s ear and remained in that same position to hide from her until she left.
That perfume. When Goro was close he smelled that familiar perfume he used to wear when he was the prince detective, also the perfume Ren said he liked. His mind began to think, think and think. So it was Sae, the person behind his rehabilitation, and also… the perfume. He did it on purpose, he just knew. He felt going crazy each passing second of processing that information. His senses were absent for a moment, that scent went to his head just like the realisation that perhaps he wanted him a little. Or maybe he got carried away with his own imagination, maybe Goro just liked that perfume and that’s why he wore it. But he used to wear other perfumes, if he remembered correctly. Right? Why that one in particular?
“Hello?”
“Oh, sorry, I was thinking about what you said. So she was behind everything? She hid you very well.” Ren said, still thinking about how he smelled.
“Yes, she did a very good job, I owe her everything. But I was hiding not because of this but because of how I was feeling. Hey, are you listening to me?” Goro raised one eyebrow, looking at him questioningly.
“Yes, I just need some fresh air. Let’s go out on a walk and grab a crěpe.” Ren said and immediately took his jacket to wear it. If he stayed another minute like that, Akechi would probably understand what was going on, since he was smart.

The streets were busy with people going everywhere, the two of them played darts in a bloody battle on who was better (it ended in a draw) and now they were in a desperate search for that guy who sold crêpes on the street of Kichijoji. Ren sighed, he really wanted to eat them with Goro.
“Maybe he’s on a vacation and will come back later.” Goro said, his hands on the pockets of his coat and his eyes on the street.
“But I wanted it now.” Ren said in a lamenting tone.
“Haha, don’t be childish. Crěpes come and go.” He responded, but his body quickly stiffened. Ren followed his gaze to two girls approaching him.
“Are you Akechi Goro?” One of them asked out of enthusiasm, the phone camera ready in her hand.
“Yes, me in person.” Akechi said gently and smiled.
“I always wanted to meet you! My dream finally came true. Can I ask you for a photo?”
Akechi spent the last minutes being friendly with his fans and just when the two of them left with joy, he turned his back and made a face.
“Please let’s go somewhere else. I didn't know someone still liked and remembered me but I hate when it happens when I want to be peacefully outside.” He said, fastly walking towards a little street.
And as soon as he heard another person shouting “Akechi?” he literally ran away. Ren catched up to him with heavy breath in a barely illuminated street with no one around.
“I hate Tokyo.” He said out of breath too.
“You’re pretty fast, I’m surprised.” Ren commented after he regained his regular breath.
“Fuck you, I’m not that weak as it looks. I’m pretty athletic as well.” He said, giving him a push on his chest.
“Hey, how dare you.” Ren said, jokingly pushing him too, towards the wall.
Akechi subtly looked at his face up close and Ren could smell his perfume from that distance. The atmosphere changed completely around them when he realized he kind of trapped him against the wall and was so close to him to actually feel how he smelled.
“Idiot. You’re too close.” Akechi said in a soft voice, his gaze on his dark eyes.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Does it bother you?” Ren asked in a low voice, his eyes wandering from his gaze to his lips. He felt his own heartbeat accelerating each passing second, his hands started sweating.
“Not that much. I have already seen you this close. I think you remember it pretty well.” The brown haired man said teasingly, not moving an inch.
“You’re so cruel.” Ren whispered, their faces now just seven centimeters apart.
“You have this special treatment from me, you should be honoured.”
Ren instinctively caressed the side of his cheek with a finger and pulled away a strand of hair. Part of him was scared to make any wrong movement, the fear to never see him again was too strong. But the other part wanted him with all his fibers, he could not wait any longer, he felt his heart almost exploding in his chest.
“Can I kiss you?” Ren finally asked it out loud.
“You don’t have to ask. Don’t make me regret this decision.” Akechi said close to his lips, softly rubbing the side of his nose against his.
Ren pressed his lips to his and he felt exactly like the first time they kissed. His lips were so soft, he had no idea how much he missed them, and now that he was kissing him tenderly he felt like that was his place on earth. Akechi brought his body closer by pulling him from the shirt, he wandered his hand before finding the perfect spot to hold him while one of Ren’s hands was on his cheek. The curly deepened the kiss when their tongues met, he reached for Goro’s tail and gently removed the hair elastic to free his hair and be able to run his fingers through the strands. They kissed slowly but with so much intensity that they ran out of breath and were forced to separate for a brief moment.
“Please don’t go back to Yokohama tomorrow.” Ren whispered, his eyes looking at him desperately like a sopping wet cat.
Akechi turned his head, his ears red. What kind of reaction was that? Ren had never seen it before. It was adorable.
“We will see. I may go back tomorrow or not.” He said with a bit of embarrassment he was trying to disguise.
“So it’s a yes, you will not go tomorrow.”
“No, I said we will see.”
“I will make sure to convince you to stay.” Ren said and moved his hands to his waist and descended slowly in a caress to his hips. He then wrapped his arms around him, pushing him against his own body again.
“How big and bold you are, I’m surprised.” Goro said teasingly, despite his face flushed red from Ren’s actions. He wrapped his arms around his neck and ran his finger through his curls to finally kiss him again.
They were both hungry, their tongues chased each other thirstily in a desperate need for each other. Goro pulled his hair hard when their hips collided and their erections rubbed, he let a moan escape in Ren’s mouth. Ren didn’t understand anything anymore; it was as if he were drunk and he had ecstasy in his circulation. He separated from his lips only to leave a tray of wet kisses on his neck, his smell felt ethereal in that moment, he left a kiss under his ear and whispered “You smell amazingly,” while his hand was caressing his skin under the shirt.
“I know, it’s your favourite perfume. Picked it to torment you.” Akechi said out of breath, it seemed that the one being tortured at that moment was him. “Let’s go to your car.”
“How do you know I have a car? You’re back stalking me?” Ren said, unwillingly stopping what he was doing to look for the keys of the car.
“Perhaps.” He said shortly and gave his own keys to him.
“When did you-”
“While you were busy kissing my neck. What kind of ex thief you are to let someone steal your keys from your pockets?”

That ride to his apartment was painful. Any time he thought he was cooling off, Akechi would find a way to make him hard again. He was convinced they sent him on earth just to be his torment, and he liked it. He clumsily tried to open the front door as quickly as possible, fortunately succeeding thanks to his dexterity with locks. Once inside the house they went straight to Ren’s bedroom. He didn’t know where Morgana was, he hoped he was not in the bedroom, he also hoped he would forgive him for tonight. As soon as he closed the door and removed his own jacket he felt Akechi pulling him from the neck of his red shirt and devoured his mouth. They stumbled towards the bed and fell on it. The brown haired straddled Ren’s pelvis as they continued to kiss passionately, just like two lovers who had lost each other for a very long time.
“What about your girlfriend?” Ren asked suddenly, interrupting their kiss.
“My girlfriend? I dumped her. It doesn’t feel natural… I don’t like girls.” Akechi admitted, Ren could sense uneasiness in his voice, making it hard for him to word that out.
Ren turned their positions to be on top and brought his lips to his earlobe, a hand caressing his body.
“Let me take care of you.” He whispered and left a kiss under his ear.
Goro looked at him with flushed cheeks, not knowing what to say, but he slowly tried to loosen the rigidity in his muscle to accept his care, which Ren really admired. The curly slowly unbuttoned the upper part of his shirt to have access to his soft skin, he then left a descending tray of kisses and caressed the sides of his lean slightly muscolar body, which Akechi welcomed with a contained moan getting out of his throat. Ren continued the descending wet kisses going to his abdomen and meeting the beginning of his pants, Goro’s fingers in between his black hair, slightly pulling. He unbuttoned his fancy pants and gently undressed his lower part. Ren ran his hands on his tights, teasing him before going to his groin area and caressing his erection. He rubbed his hands on it a couple of times and the brown haired’s breath became heavier, his hands gripping the sheets from the sudden but brief pleasure. Ren took a moment to steal a glance. Goro’s hair were graciously spread on his pillow, his lips were puffy from
the kiss and parted as he was trying to say something in between sighs. He looked like the most beautiful being in the world and he was on his bed, in all places. His red eyes catched his gaze like a red handed criminal but Ren couldn’t stop to stare at his face and body.
“What are you waiting for? Hurry up.” Akechi said in an attempt to sound more authoritative.
Ren smiled, finding him cute.
“Quite impatient are we?” He commented, his fingers approaching his hardness again.
He was so beautiful half undressed on his bed, he still could not believe that this was really happening, after everything he went through. That moment was a fantasy he daydreamed about every hour for a long time, periodically coming up again and again in his mind to torment him with something he couldn’t have. But it was real, it was tangible, it could be felt under his feverish finger tips in the present without any godlike fake reality. He pressed his lips on his covered erection, kissing it slowly, his hot breath torturing Goro’s senses. The latter agitated under his slow kissing game, pre-cum leaking from his tip, making a wet spot on his boxers. Ren opened his mouth to make everything worse. He licked the wet spot, his mouth meeting his still covered tip, which Akechi reacted with his legs trapping the curly’s head.
“Fuck. Stop it.” He said with heavy breath, pressing his legs even more to immobilise him.
“Don’t you like it?” Ren talked with his mouth still half pressing on him.
“You’re torturing me. This is my job.” He said, his face all red and his eyes lucid.
“So you like it too much and you don’t want to admit it. Please… you’re so cute.” Ren said and smiled in between his tights. “If you don’t move I can’t remove your boxers.”
Akechi muttered some insults in between his teeth and spread his legs to let his head go. He was finally freed from the boxers and Ren admired it for two seconds before taking his length in his hand and gently moving it up and down. Akechi bit his lip and hardly grabbed the sheets due to the stimulation, making everything possible to not moan. Ren moved his hand for a while before pressing his lips on his tip and then licking all his length with the tip of his tongue. He engulfed his tip with his mouth and then proceeded to take as much of his length as he could. It was his first time doing it with a man, he remembered what he saw on the internet and hoped he was doing it well enough to satisfy him. But one look at Goro’s face confirmed he was making him feel good so he moved his head up and down aiding himself with the hands on the untouched parts and sucking and licking his tip. He felt his fingers grabbing his hair and pulling it while whimpers escaped from his mouth. The sounds he was making were so hot that he couldn’t resist anymore being unsatisfied, he grinded against the mattress while continuing to give him pleasure, his breath becoming heavier and heavier. He met his eyes and he felt Goro instantly melt, next to cumming. But Ren suddenly stopped and Goro almost hissed.
“Do you want to go further?” Ren asked, still in his position, languidly looking at him like a mess already.
“Further? I don’t know, I never did it, it would be new to me. Just let me finish and I’ll think about it!” He said the last phrase in a capricious complaint, his pupils dilated and breath heavy.
Ren smiled amusingly at the way he was behaving but did as he said. He dedicated his attention to his member again till the taste of his orgasm invaded his taste buds and he could finally swallow all of it. He met his surprised gaze once he was recovering from the orgasm, his hand finally leaving his black locks of hair.
“There was no need to swallow it, Amamiya.” Goro commented, his ears red. “But I liked it.”
Ren resisted the temptation to roll his eyes. He just had his dick in his mouth and he still called him by his surname.
“It’s fine as long as it’s yours.” Ren answered moving positions to meet his face again.
“I don’t think it’s the first time this phrase came out of your mouth.” Goro said with a defiant smile, his hand approaching his neck to caress it and moving onto the shirt buttons to finally remove his clothes. He could sense a bit of embarrassment in him being the only one exposed.
“It’s my first time, actually. You’re my first man.” Ren said in a low voice near his lips.
“Impossible. It would be logical if you tried everything, since, as far as I remember, you were well liked by everyone around you.” He said in the same low voice, his eyes on his lips and his hand slowly caressing his abdomen once he unbuttoned the shirt, descending. Ren grew more and more impatient, it was painful.
“So that would make me a slut? I just had sex with a few girls during these years apart.”
“A few girls?” Goro said in a sarcastic tone, his hand descending on his boxers and finally meeting his pulsating member.
A low pitched moan escaped from Ren’s mouth at the feeling of his bare hands moving around his erection, his touch felt so addicting he wanted more of it. Their hungry mouths met again in a dramatical sweet dance, their hearts full but agonizing. Goro’s left hand undressed him completely from his shirt to explore his body in an attempt to memorize all of it before departure, while the other hand was giving him pleasure in different paces.
“Goro… please.” Ren whispered on his humid lips, his breath heavy. “Let me love you.”
“I ruined you. You don’t deserve someone like me.” He said, caressing his cheek with a first time tenderness, his gaze on Ren’s grey eyes.
“You left a mark on me. I’m all yours, nothing can change that.” Ren said, placing his hand on his, which was resting on his chest. He applied pressure to make him feel his heartbeat. “This is yours.”
“And what if I mistreat your heart? What if I tear your heart out from your chest and do whatever I want with it because I feel like it? Because I’m cruel?” The brown haired man asked, frowning with an almost pained expression.
“Then it will be your responsibility, but I know you won’t do it.”
“You’re too romantic, it’s revolting.” Goro ironically said and resumed what he was doing. He circled his length with his fingers and gradually moved faster, making Ren being almost close to the highest pleasure.
“I want you...” He murmured, his face close and his seductive gaze going from eyes to lips. “Inside of me.”
Just those words said in that voice were enough to bring him
to an uncontrollable orgasm, spilling on his hand and moaning in a trembling sigh. He felt ridiculous under his satisfied gaze. He felt his head light, everything around him felt unreal.
“Fuck… I’m sorry. Alright.” Ren said while trying to recover. He changed position, kneeling in between his legs to remove his own pants completely and he felt Goro’s eyes burning holes on his entire figure.
“You’re buffier. Are you hitting the gym?” He asked without even hiding his attracted curiosity.
“I work four days per week at a carpenter’s site, I pick up heavy things every time and I like to eat, maybe that’s why I’m not too skinny like I used to be.” Ren explained and opened his nightstand’s drawer to grab the lube. He didn’t notice a huge difference between his physique then and now, only slightly broader arms and shoulders, but Goro noticed that difference and that was enough to make him feel satisfied. He grabbed his legs and brought him closer. He watched him looking at his own dirty hand initially not knowing what to do and then slowly licked Ren’s semen to clean his fingers. He felt a rising arousal seeing that spectacle, his ears burning hot again. That bastard.
Ren opened the lubricant bottle and spread a generous amount on his own fingers and his entrance. He massaged it delicately, his gaze still on Goro’s face to take revenge and also to watch his expressions to understand if he’s hurting him.
“Be gentle… and don’t stare at me in that way.” He said after biting on his own lower lip for the external stimulation.
“In what way?”
“Like you’re hunting me.”
“Feeling threatened?”
“Quite the contrar- Ah.”
Goro moaned from the intrusion of one of his fingers and immediately grabbed the sheets.
“Am I hurting you?” Ren asked, stopping the movement.
“It’s a weird sensation. I’ll get accustomed to it, keep moving.” He said, still white knuckling the white bed sheets.
“You’re too tense. Relax.” Ren said and leaned forward for a gentle kiss on his neck.
Goro took a deep breath and closed his eyes, gradually leaving his grip on the sheets, trying to relax his muscles to help the movement.
“Good boy.” Ren softly murmured, his lubricated finger moving inside his tight hole slowly.
He went deeper when he fastened his pace and once he heard sighs of pleasure coming from him he slowly added a second finger. It was more painful and challenging but he made sure he would easily relax around his fingers by leaving kisses on his skin and moving carefully every time he felt his muscles tense. He surrounded his cock with his free hand and moved his wrist in a controlled pace to distract him from the moment he entered with a third finger. He pressed upwards deep inside of him and a high pitched moan left Goro’s parted lips. He found it.
“You can… proceed.” The laying one said in between pleasure, referring to the actual act.
Ren removed his fingers from his now more loosen hole. He fastly approached the nightstand to look for a condom and started to panic from the realisation that he probably didn’t have any.
“We have a problem. No condoms.” Ren said guilty.
“I don’t think I care that much about it, we can do it without. It’s probably better.” Goro said, looking away from the realisation of such a phrase.
Ren smiled, relieved. He then lubricated his own hard member, moving a hand around it. He hissed through his teeth at the brief stimulation to his hard, neglected member. He leaned towards him, hips in between his legs, his black hair touching his forehead.
“Do you want to do it in this position?” Ren asked.
“Isn’t it too girly? Men do it without looking at each other I think.” Goro said, his breath short, his arousal showing everywhere on his face, from eyes to lips and to the colour he assumed.
“Who cares… I want to look at you.” Ren said, his heart almost escaping from his chest from the hunger he was feeling looking at him being that hot under him. He rubbed his tip on his orifice in a teasing way, biting hard his lower lip from the rising impatience.
“Then fuck me like that, I want to look at your stupid face too.”
Ren finally penetrated him, slowly, going all the way inside of him. Goro hissed from the sudden intrusion, his nails digging on the skin of Ren’s shoulder. He was so tight and hot around him, he could go crazy in any moment from that new sensation. He didn’t move at first, scared to hurt him, but as soon as he gave him his okay, he began moving at a very slow pace to make him get used to his presence.
“Feeling good?” He asked in a low tone, their noses touching.
“I’m getting used to it. Now it’s starting to feel decent.” Akechi said lower, his gaze wandering from his eyes to his lips. He kissed Ren again, his tongue invading his mouth to search for comfort. Ren noticed that he kissed him first more than two times, he was too good with it, a melting sensation met his senses every time it got intense. Goro’s arms surrounded his upper body, embracing him with his tights too. Ren fastened his pace, now beginning to hit all his most sensible spots. And now from decent, it was good, judging from his expression. Goro moaned on his lips anytime he felt pleasure from his thrusts, Ren’s breath becoming heavier at each one. It was too good, nothing like any other experience he had with other people, he was just where it was supposed to be.
“Go faster or I’ll fall asleep.” The brown haired said in a huffed tone, provoking him. His provocation worked, indeed, as Ren thrusted faster and deeper into him. The bed frame hit the wall at every harsh movement, yet, he didn’t care in the slightest. He felt his nails scratching hard on his back, he liked way too much that burning sensation, he wanted to make him scream to make him scratch even more violently.
“Fuck, I feel you in my guts.” Akechi managed to say in between sighs of pleasure. Ren wondered if it was too much for his first time but that thought quickly contradicted itself when Goro pulled him even closer with his legs wrapped around his hips, trapping him. He thrusted deep in that position, not being able to move back and forth, but it was heavenly, being completely inside of him. He felt like he was melting, coming close to orgasm was his last thought, he didn’t want that moment to be over, fully engulfed in his addicting embrace.
“Ren…” He whimpered. “It feels so good. You’re so good, you’re all mine.” He continued saying, his fingers now between his hair.
Ren felt like all the blood in his body went to his cock and he was close to coming. He brought his lips on the skin of his neck and took a flap of it to bite and suck like his life depended on it.
“I’m all yours, and you’re not going anywhere anymore. You can’t escape from me ever again.” Ren said near his ear and then biting his lobe, his hot breath violently colliding on his skin. “I’m close.”
“Come inside me.” Goro said breathlessly. Judging from his trembling legs he was close to an orgasm too.
Ren felt overtaken by the pleasure, so intense, his hot cum flooding Akechi’s insides and his vision getting blurry. He continued moving in his now slippery inside and whimpering from the overstimulation; soon the other came too on his own abdomen with a high pitched, desperate moan, his head thrown back on the pillow.
They both stayed silent and still in that position, trying to recover their breath and energy. Ren felt so tired, he could barely move, but he managed to pull out and throw himself near the other. After a moment of silence, when he finally felt his own body again, he came closer to Goro to bring an arm around him. He was busy staring at the ceiling and when Ren pulled him closer he finally looked at his face, resting his head closer.
“I felt close to God.” Ren said out of the blue, managing to steal an amused smile from him.
“We were closer to hell than to God, but anyway.” He commented.
They silently stared at each other, looking at every detail on the other's face. He was so beautiful after sex, his lips puffy and red. But Ren’s gaze was too much for Goro. He moved his head left and turned his back on him. Ren worrily came closer to his back and slowly caressed his spine.
“Are you okay?” Ren asked.
“Your gaze makes me feel vulnerable.” Goro murmured with a weak voice.
“Then I won’t look at you.” Ren said, tracing with his finger the outline of his shoulder.
Goro’s hand grabbed his wrist and brought his arm around his waist. Ren closed the distance from his own chest and his back, hugging him from behind, his nose digging through his fragrant brown hair.
“Don’t leave me tomorrow.” He murmured tiredly in an imperceptible tone.
“I won’t.” Goro answered, his hand clasping his.
And that was enough for Ren to finally fall asleep, peacefully.
