In this universe, Jay Garrick founded Star Labs alongside his girlfriend Joan Williams (whom later became his wife).
He also employed several of his friends:
- Ebeneezer Jones, a brilliant but neurotic man. In the comics he was nicknamed ‘Worry Wart’.
- Walter Nolan, whom is a gifted scientist but tends to be scatterbrained and a lot of inventions blow up in his face. He is a composite of the three Dimwits Winky, Blinky and Noddy, minor supporting characters to Jay Garrick.
- Maria Flura, a female scientist whom once helped the Flash against Star Sapphire (not to be confused with Carol Ferris, this was a different member of the Star Sapphire corps)
It eventually branched out but the main facility is in Central City, next to Jay’s hometown and Central City’s sister city, Keystone City.
Jay has long retired from running it and passed on the mantle, which is currently run by Tina McGee and acts as a base of operations for the Flash Family.
