Chapter Text
It was one of those days.
The windows of the classroom were fogged up as the cool rain continued to pour down outside, droplets racing down the windowpane before disappearing. The soft pitter-patter of the rain was sadly drowned out by the math teacher's rough voice as he talked on about nothing important... or at least you hoped so because you've been zoned out for the past ten minutes, finding the racing droplets more interesting. It was the last period of the day on a Friday, so most of your classmates were also checked out and half asleep, the teacher practically talking to himself.
Time seemed to be dragging. Each glance up at the clock seemed to slow the passage of time, so you tried your hardest not to look, opting to put your head down on the desk. A nap wouldn't hurt; you'd just beg someone who was actually paying attention for the notes later. You pulled the egg technique, slipping your arms into your hoodie before resting your head on your empty sleeves on the desk. It was comfy, but you knew your back would be screaming when you woke up.
...
You very soon woke up with a jolt when the bell rang, signaling the end of the longest class ever. You quickly slinked your arms back into the sleeves of your hoodie and wiped the drool off the side of your mouth before grabbing your notebook and textbook, shoving them into your backpack haphazardly. Your classmates around you also packed up quickly, ready to get home and enjoy a rainy day in. You slung your backpack onto your shoulders and began walking towards the exit of the classroom until an orange lump caught your eye in the back of the class. You looked over to see one of your classmates still knocked out cold, sleeping under his hoodie. The thought of just walking off and letting the teacher find him crossed your mind, but you decided to give him a quick shake.
"Hey, the bell rang."
You put your hand on his shoulder and gave him a soft shake. The bundle of orange let out a soft, raspy groan before slowly sliding out from under the hoodie, revealing messy black hair and red sleep lines across his cheek and forehead. He looked like he had just been revived from the dead, eyes bloodshot as he stared up at you in confusion, mouth still smeared with slob. You spoke again.
"Uh... the bell rang. School is over."
The strong scent of cigarettes assaulted your nose, causing your face to instinctively scrunch up. You softly cleared your throat to stop yourself from coughing; he smelled like he had smoked a whole pack before class. Now that he was awake, you decided your job was done and turned on your heels to leave. That was until you suddenly felt a rough hand grip your wrist with a hold that was a little too tight for your liking. You flinched at the sudden grip, turning your gaze back to the male with a startled expression. A few awkward seconds passed before he cleared his throat, his voice raspy and low from sleep.
"Time... What's the time?"
His hand slowly (almost hesitantly) retracted its grip from around your wrist as he let out a yawn and rubbed his red eyes, unsteadily rising from the desk with a stretch. His shirt slightly rose, revealing a bit of his stomach and boxers; your eyes unconsciously glanced down before you quickly fixed them back to your phone to get the time for him.
"2:51—shit!"
You remembered your mom was picking you up today since it was raining, realizing she was probably waiting in front of the school for you right now. You didn’t waste any time turning and walking off, leaving the dazed male behind as you darted out of the classroom.
...
"Woah... Did you see the look she gave you? She totally wants you."
Kevin's dark brown eyes slowly drifted over to the yellow goose standing next to him. He didn't say anything, but his cheeks turned a soft pink from the comment, rolling his eyes as he slipped on his hoodie and grabbed his backpack. In no rush to go home just yet, he started walking towards the door to leave the classroom but stopped when he reached the girl's seat. His dead eyes locked onto the single loose hair sitting on the desk. He glanced around to make sure the class was empty before grabbing the hair and bringing it to his nose, inhaling deeply before carefully placing it in his hoodie pocket. A small smile spreading across his chapped lips.
"You're fucking gross."
"Fuck off."
His voice echoed in the empty class as he walked out, shooting a glare at Allen.
"You wouldn't get it..."
