Work Text:
“Do you think that he sees his previous relationships like he sees those swords?”
Shallan jumped a little as she heard Mayalaran’s words. She had been resting on a couch, trying to get a few moments of rest that she knew she’d sorely need. Things had been exhausting for her so far and it didn’t seem like she’d get time for herself soon, nothing that lasted for long at least. There were a few things left to do Lasting Integrity, and afterwards they would all leave to where they were needed the most. “His swords?” She asked as she looked at the cultivationspren.
“Yes, he has so many behind him. So many bonds that flared for a little while and then vanished, turning into all sorts of emotions, only for more to appear later and letting the cycle repeat itself with so many women before he met either of us.”
There was something uncomfortable behind Maya’s words, thoughts about him fluttering away from her when (if, the word it’s if, you know that, and you know that it won’t happen) they were unable to be together. She steeled herself away from thoughts that she knew would only lead her astray, and instead tried to pry more from the talkative deadeye. “What do you mean?” Something in her must have shown her inner doubts, because Mayalaran was quick to come by her side, taking a seat and placing a hand on her shoulders.
“I’m just curious, I swear that I didn’t want to imply anything.” Mayalaran had to hide a groan from Shallan, coming back by leaps and bounds didn’t mean that she was beyond mistakes, she took a breath and tried once more. “He did claim many blades, but he eventually found someone that he wanted to bond with.” She pointed at herself, and then at Shallan. “I’m sure that the same is true for you.”
“I doubt that he would have bonded with any other blade.”
The redhead’s gaze softened, and filled her with relief in the process, the last thing that she wanted was to add strife where it wasn’t needed. “Not to mention that I could be wrong, not all of the swords he has are from loved ones.” This time her words calmed the still broken lightweaver.
“Far from it, do you remember the sheer amount of them he has?”
“Not yet.” She shrugged, ultimately she cared more about herself, Shallan and Adolin than she did about the blades that were little more than courtesy gifts, even if some of those had more meaning behind him. “In all fairness he wouldn’t be the first man to enjoy being surrounded by so many hard blades outside of the battlefield.” And a few words took that calm and shattered into embarrassment, then into something far more interesting.
“Why don’t we ask him those questions?” Shallan idly asked, a little grin on her face as a few ideas began to take shape inside her mind, after everything that had happened in this city she could use a bit of fun just as much as a bit of rest.
“You know that he loves you.”
“I do, but we can get some fun out of him.”
Adolin knew that they would leave this place without all the things they had brought. They had to go back to the front in one way or another, and it was for the best if it was quick, and the faster they went the less they'd be able to bring with them unless outrageous amounts of Stormlight and radiants came to help them. And so he was looking at everything that would be taken back, pondering what could be brought by himself and what could be brought back later in one way or another.
“Don’t think that I don’t see you carrying all those swords.”
When he heard Maya's words he turned to face her, he had them laid in front of him from more to least important. “We have done what we can in Lasting Integrity, so we need to leave.” He mentioned as he picked the blade that Kal gave him, swinging it a couple times, “If you had to pick one of these swords to use yourself what would you prefer?” Maya reached instead for one of the few swords that was similar to the form she had in the physical realm, working on one of the katas that they did together.
“But there are far too many swords for you to use.”
“There isn’t anything bad with having a few spares, especially here.” He carefully explained to Maya as she practiced a few katas with the sword before placing it back where she picked it from, then repeating the process with several of his blades.
“Yes, I can’t be a shardblade here.”
“Precisely.”
“That only explains a few swords, there are more than a few. You claimed a lot of shardblades too.”
“It was important to do so back then.”
“Don’t worry Adolin, as long as you don’t start bonding with blades like you do with women we won’t have to discuss much.”
This time he stopped in his tracks, looking at Maya with his mouth wide open and trying to find a way for her to have teached that conclusion, barring weird ideas of how spren found love or really weird that radiants could have kept VERY secret he came up with nothing. “...Wait, that’s not the same at all.” He finally muttered in response.
“Perhaps it is, we were quite selective on which squire we bonded with, that meant talking with many. You are married to Shallan but dated many women before her.”
Somehow Maya’s understanding was worse than her potential ignorance, “It’s not really the same, we met with different expectations and ended up far closer than I ever did with everyone else.” The knowing smile that she gave him made those words feel like little mumblings, like he was just saying things that she had heard a thousand times. “It just doesn’t work like that.”
“Should we ask her?
“Yes!” He took Maya’s hand into his own, with both of them dropping their blades and going back towards the one person in this house that, he hoped, could bring some clarity to the cultivationspren without dying from embarrassment in the process.
Maya eagerly let herself be dragged back towards the couch. They came together to find Shallan resting once more, or trying to at least, the redhead quickly opened her eyes and looked at them with a pretension of curiosity. “Adolin wants you to try and explain why he loves having so many swords around, and why that’s different from the way he dated so many people before meeting and marrying you.” She was almost sorry for what was about to happen, but Shallan was right, this could be fun.
“I could say the same, you love your blades, don’t you?”
Adolin saw his hopes turn into ashes, replaced instead with the realization that this was now a battle on two fronts. “I do, they are a nice interest to have…” For once he felt his face burn, nonchalance wasn’t quite the answer for both his wife and the woman that he fought alongside with in every battle.
“And how many were gifts from other dalliances back when you were dating people besides Shallan?”
They weren’t that many, but more than a few of those he had received back then were among the ones he had brought to Shadesmar during their journey. “Some from the wedding, some from before and a few that I’ve received since. I like the swords, having options, and getting to share them with others.” He looked at Shallan first and foremost, a smile firm on his face as he came close and sat by her side. “And yes, some come from people that matter to me, but not all of them. I mean…” He ran back to the carefully organized pile of weapons and brought a straight, dark, single-bladed short sword back to Shallan and Maya. “Sadeas gave me this a couple of years ago. I think that proves that getting one as a gift doesn’t mean that I liked them.”
Shallan wondered if he’d have liked that sword above others had he killed Sadieas with it, then dismissed the idea. His words were exactly what she thought he would tell her, and did a lot to soothe her worries. That just meant she could have fun now, “Oh, not him of course, but I have seen the way you practice with the sword Kal gave you~” She smirked, using some of her light to conjure an illusion of said blade and wielding it with the kind of grip that was only fit for a different kind of shaft.
“Who is Kal?”
“Oh, a very good friend of ours.” She patiently added, even if it was due to vastly different causes they both needed to learn things that they had been there for.
“Good enough to lay with?”
A little part of her knew what the answer was, but it wasn’t there anymore, not independently, not that it stopped her from looking away, her face as red as Adolin’s. “Aren’t we talking about Adolin’s swords?”
Mayalaran watched the married pair and grinned. Shallan was right, this was fun, and way too easy for two people that loved each other so dearly. “There’s not a lot of shame in that, you have his heart, that’s no reason for either of you to deprive yourselves from the chance as both of you are in agreement with the idea.”
“Neither of us have slept with him.”
She wasn’t going to let something like reality stop her from teasing them, especially when her wielder was married with a lightweaver of all people. “I mean, being far from each other, going from battle to battle and trying to make life a bit more bearable. It’s only natural. Especially when you are both as attractive as you are.” Something inside Shallan made her cover herself.
“Wait, how much have you seen of her?”
“Not as much as I have seen of you.” This time she could only laugh at the way Shallan looked at her, angry embarrassment and betrayal all in one, all while Adolin agonized in front of her, “That I remember of course. I’ll need to keep an eye open from now on, who knows how much has changed since the Recreance.”
Adolin heard enough, he took an increasingly blushing Shallan into a hug and tried in vain to stare Maya down. “What we do is our business, don't make us ask Pattern to keep you away when we are in private. Besides, it’s not like you…” Adolin stopped talking as he saw Maya’s grin grow wider and wider. “...You don’t mean.:.” The possibility came to mind only a few seconds before his curiosity was answered.
“Oh, let’s just say there were Radiants that loved to spend their time in Shadesmar rather than Urithiru.”
Now all of the spren he had seen during his journey to this city was brought in a different light, mainly questions of how it was even possible. “But… you are a spren.” That sounded weak even to himself, the differences weren’t as big here-
“Did you think that it didn’t apply to us? Sure, some truespren find it more complicated than others, but I’ve heard things from almost every kind.” Maya wasn’t sure if it was even possible for the bondsmith’s spren to do that sort of thing, but she was sure that others besides her had wondered how to pull it off.
With her words in mind both humans were looking at her with a bit of barely-hidden awe, she allowed herself to bask on that for a little while then took sat by Adolin’s side. “You know Shallan, I think that I’m the one getting fun from both of you, do you think that we can fix that?” To her credit Shallan didn’t immediately look at Adolin, but the seed of curiosity was already firmly planted inside her, and he wasn’t any better.
They faced each other, then at her, and some silent agreement had to have happened between them, because Adolin let go of Shallan and the redhead now held her by the wrists. “I can stop this if I’m making you awkward.” She quickly added, but rather than stopping this it just made them grin.
“That’s good to know, but you’re fine.”
“I couldn’t agree more.” Shallan took her hands to her Havah and began unbuttoning it, and once she opened the way both Adolin and Maya followed suit, with Adolin being far more at ease with getting rid of his uniform than she expected. ‘’ She thought as the heavier parts of her dress came down. She was working on her undergarments when she saw Maya struggling with her own clothing, reaching for the button’s on her chest.
“Can you help me?”
“Oh, it’d be my pleasure” She quickly got to work, together they got rid of most of Maya’s clothing, practically kicking it aside in the struggle, their greatest issue was binding cloths around Maya’s chest. Working to unwrap them was tiresome, and only made harder by having a pair of glass hands caressing her naked skin. It was as hard as expected, unyielding, and yet Maya was so delicate with her, simply caressing her with only the lightest of squeezes, “When was the last time that you did this?” She wondered.
“A few millennia.”
Any further questions were killed by kisses, she had Maya’s lips pressed on her own, and the fight to keep working on the cloth was only growing harder the more that she laid on top of the cultivationspren.
This kiss truly felt like something else, she tried to give just as much pleasure as she got, but Maya made her look like the most pathetic of novices, just taking in all of the delight while the spren’s tongue roamed inside her mouth.
With Adolin’s clothes by his side he was able to contemplate Shallan, who was in the middle of a wholly different kind of battle, one where he could decide which one lady would rise in triumph, and as one to finish first it was practically his duty.
He reached down and pulled down on Shallan’s underwear, his wife laughed a bit and pulled her legs closer, allowing him to remove the last bit of clothing she still had before opening herself fully. Care and restraint mixed with pure desire, driving him forward, getting his member inside Shallan and gripping her hips as he began to thrust.
When she began to moan he laughed, pleased and relieved and ready to give his wife the love and lust that she sorely needed. “You’re incredible.” He said as he did his best to plow her, putting every bit of strength and care that he had into making sure that Shallan was the happiest woman around.
“I do my best.” Maya mockingly answered, stopping her kissing barrage just to flash a little grin back to Adolin. Shallan turned to look at Adolin, but that only gave her a chance to plant a kiss in her pale neck, turning whatever the lightweaver wanted to say into unintelligible arousal.
“You’re not bad either Maya.”
She now went between Shallan and Adolin, caressing either of them following nothing but her whims, whether she wanted to grope the naked redhead to run her glassy hands over the delightfully toned man above them both, now that she could think, feel and experience more than she had in ages upon ages she wanted to make up for lost time, and being brought to this position was a great first thing to do.
While she kept kissing Shallan’s neck she saw Adolin doing the same from behind, this was just another way for the two of them to work together, and she took back a familiar front, gently pulling until she had her tongue back inside Shallans mouth, lust and enthusiasm were there, but they weren't a match for a thirst that went unanswered since time immemorial.
All three of them settled into a simple pace: Adolin ramming into Shalla from behind, all while lovingly caressing her and kissing her back, Mayalran casually kissing and groping Shallan as well, and the delighted redhead just laying in the middle, drunk in pleasure and trying to move and match the pair currently rocking her world.
Shallan ran her hands over Maya’s skin, her fingers running in simple paths thanks to the thin vines forming her body, nothing compared to getting touched by the cultivation spren, and it seemed that she was growing bolder. She felt these hard fingers on her nipples, unyielding in the way they rubbed and pinched her, drove her deeper into ecstasy, all the way towards something utterly alien to her. She was left without any idea of what to do beyond indulging in Adolin and Maya.
Thankfully she was in the care of experts, and as she was driven beyond the edge they gave her a chance to rest, the groping and thrusting slowed up, and she felt Adolin’s lodged inside her, throbbing as it began to fill her with something warm, sticky and utterly delightful. She followed alongside him in reading an orgasm not too long after, and Maya’s tongue left her mouth right then.
“You two are a bit rough, but great for a first experience with humans.”
“Thank you?” She could feel her juices dripping on her thighs alongside Adolin’s, she could feel how she was still tight around Adolin’s penis, and now wasn’t the only one moaning. Maya must have noticed something that neither of them did, because she moved him with kicks and some lifting, leaving Shallan completely trapped between them. There was nowhere else she’d have rather been at that moment. She reached for Adolin’s hand behind her, and held it tight while they recovered.
Adolin was sure that the Tranquiline Halls couldn’t beat resting on top of the woman he loved, as well as the spren that had grown to be a great friend of his over time, that said friend had somehow joined in their intimacy. He was once more the one to move first when he pulled out of his wife, grinning when she whined and tried to pull back, with Maya’s help they helped Shallan lay on one end of the couch. Shallan was even more gorgeous now, aroused and smiling, little drops of sweat glistening on her skin, with both her and his juices coating her inner thighs.
“So your endurance extends beyond the battlefield.”
It seemed that he wasn't the only one staring, sure enough, his penis was still erect, coated in Shallan’s own nectar, and in moments Maya was back by her side, a hand pressing on his chest.
“May I?”
“Please.”
“Mind opening your legs?”
Shallan dearly wished that she had something to draw with right then, somehow she felt that a mental picture didn’t do justice to Maya practically crawling on top of her husband, only to face his member instead of kissing him. What she then saw was the culitvationspren eagerly sucking Adolin’s member, wiping clean the results of her climax, she wasn’t sure if anyone could ever match the way that Maya was making him tremble and moan, unable to do anything but vaguely pat her head.
This time the show of her expertise was short however, once she was done cleaning and Adolin’s penis was absolutely erect their surprise lover got up, taking the place that she would have been in had she been on top of Adolin rather than between him and Maya, Adolin reached to help her get in position, but she barely needed any support before moving down, letting out a scream of pleasure as she took the entirety of Adolin in a single move. Now the cultivationspren worked hard on taking Adolin in a way that could only be described as riding him, partly leaning on him, partly getting him to squeeze her backside. ‘Wait, was I as loud as her, or as Adolin?!’ The realization that people buildings may hear this left Shallan very relieved that she’d be leaving Lasting Integrity very soon.
Maya’s relief grew more and more. Words were coming back to her with more and more ease each day, but actions were still simpler, and getting a chance to enjoy the couple’s attention was a very welcome reprieve every time that she took his member inside her she felt the pleasure spiking deep inside her, awakening another part of her that had been lying dormant so long ago, and with new needs and new knowledge came new chances to exploit this chance. “Shallan, why don’t you come and help?”
“I can’t get on top of you! We’d crush Adolin.”
“Oh, I will be fine.”
“Of course you would, but I meant something else.” Riding Adolin grew harder as she opened her legs, but she wanted the redhead to see just what it looked like, perhaps it could be something for them to do once they were out of Shadesmar. “Get between my legs, take a taste.”
The gorgeous lightweaver got on all fours before her, crawling between her legs and waiting for a chance, just for her she slowed down, and grinned with delight when she saw her licking Adoling as she rode him. Together they pleased him just as he kept pelasing them. “Enjoying yourself back there?” She asked from the man of the hour.

Adolin worked with everything he had, thrusting upwards, holding Maya just as he squeezed her ass, moving just slowly enough for Shallan to keep up what she was doing with her tongue. There was nothing else he could do but enjoy the moment and attention from both ladies, and so he went, drowning in pleasure and giving the chance for the others to do the same.
Shallan knew from very recent experience when Adolin began to approach a second climax of his own, running her tongue over his tongue was complicated, the way he and Maya moved, keeping pace while she rubbed her thighs together, and all of the pleasure in Roshar wouldn’t stop her from being tired beforehand, so she slipped in the end, first by running her tongue over Adolin’s testicles, then over Maya’s lower lips.
“Oh, do that again! please!”
She stopped when she heard the surprise in Maya’s voice, when redoubled her efforts by sloppily running her tongue over both man and spren. Her reward was not only their glee and her excitement, but twin shots from both of them, one with the taste of Adolin’s juices, and a second one that was beyond description.
Much to her shock the pair kept going for just a little bit longer, but it was slow, and soon enough the cultivationspren was using her husband like a bed. She put a stop to that with a little push, She was the one that would be resting on her toned body. A little fight ensued for a few seconds, with kisses and caresses rather than blows, but a kiss from Adolin in both of their lips put an end to that. She rested on Adolin, almost falling asleep until he talked.
“So, what else..?”
“A few tricks here and there, I can teach you, and thanks for the unexpected treat Shallan.”
“Perhaps some other time, I need to rest, and I have the best people just laying by my side.” She explained, now she REALLY understood the radiants that chose to be in this place. Perhaps she’d be one of them when things were over, but for now she only had a hug from her husband and the sound of wet and sloppy kisses from him and Maya to keep her company as the last of her energy was spent, leaving her to fall asleep.
