Kakeru looked up from the worksheet that sat in front of him, staring at the back of yamato's head. kakeru still couldn't believe the fact that they were together, he felt like the luckiest man alive. There were still girls constantly coming up to him, giving him letters and gifts, asking him to date them. and still, every time yamato had rejected them, telling them he was already in a loving relationship. in their little group, everyone tried to figure out who yamato was dating, everyone except kakeru. and hosaka. he somehow knew the whole time. he was so lucky, he was dating the most perfect man he had ever met. but still, he wasnt enough for yamato.
He hadn't realised that yamato had turned around, only realising eyes were on him when he got slapped in the neck. he turned around, spotting hosaka standing there with a smug smile on his face, juice in hand. "your boyfriend is trying to speak to you, kakeru" hosaka walked away, smiling to himself before waving them a goodbye and leaving the classroom. kakeru looked around, trying to spot if anyone had heard what hosaka had said. it was only then when he realised it was just him and yamato.
"the bell rang a few minutes ago, everyone is gone, dont worry darling" kakeru flushed, still not being used to yamato using pet names on him. "so, what are you thinking about?"
kakeru thought for a second, replaying his thoughts over and over again. "i.. i want to tell our friends we are together"
yamato's face widened a bit, before slowly returning to normal. yamato thought about it for a second, it would be nice to be able to kiss and hug kakeru infront of their friends. but also, what if they didnt support them? what if they found them disgudting and told everyone about them? no, they wouldnt do that. anyways, hosaka had been out as gay for awhile, and everyone accepted him, so why wouldnt they accept him and kakeru?
"okay, when will we tell them?"
"what about over text, ill send the text in our group chat, okay?"
"yeah, okay kakeru"
yamato grabbed his bag from his desk, swinging it over his shoulder. "come on, you can come round if you want"
kakeru practically jumped out of his seat, grabbing his bag and pulling yamato by the sleeve.
they had stopped at the bridge, looking out into the river. kakeru looked up at yamato, watching his boyfriend very carefully. yamato was always so loving, especially since they got together. every chance he got, he pulled kakeru into a kiss, or played with his hair. smiling, kakeru placed his head against yamato's shoulder, looking to the side. kakeru raised his arm, shaking it like a mad man. yamato looked at him confused, before looking at where he was waving. thats when he saw mikoto and hosaka walking towards them.
"hello, kakeru" mikoto had said with a smile, before looking at her brother "you left your shirt in the living room. clean up after yourself"
hosaka paused for a second, before bursting out in laughter. kakeru looked away, back at the river, trying to stop himself from laughing.
"ill clean up when i get back home" yamato scratched the back of his head, looking embarrassed "also, kakeru is coming round"
"and what are you two going to be doing at your place, huh yamato?" hosaka teased, placing his elbow on mikoto's shoulder
"we are uh.." kakeru looked up at yamato, only continuing when he nodded "we are going to tell the group we are together"
kakeru watched as hosaka's eyes widened, his face breaking into a wide smile "really? finally you guys, ive been waiting for you two to tell everyone"
kakeru sat on yamato's bed, holding his phone tight in his hands. yamato sat next to him, his hand placed onto his back.
"hey, give it to me" before kakeru could respond, yamato grabbed the phone out of his hands, before typing out a message to their group chat
hey, its yamato, me and kakeru wanted to tell you all what we are dating. hope you all accept us
he gave kakeru his phone back, before running his hand through kakeru's short hair. kakeru looked back at him, before cuddling closer to him.
before they knew it, a notification popped up on kakeru's phone. kakeru held his breath, before opening up the messages

yamato smiled, looking through the messages. he was glad his friends didnt mind. he knew they wouldnt mind, yet still it was a shock that they accepted their relationship
"hey, kakeru" yamato looked at kakeru "i love you"
kakeru's face turned red, looking away from yamato. yamato smiled, turning kakeru's face towards him
"i uh-" he blushed even more "i love you"
kakeru hid in yamato's hoodie, pressing his face into his chest. yamato smiled, rubbing soothing circles into his back.
finally, he could kiss and hug his boyfriend infront of their friends. yeah, they werent going to tell everyone yet, but it felt good for their close friends to know about them.
