Murder Drones Reconfigured
Chapter 1- Just a Another day in The life of Uzi

Outside of Copper High
“Well. This is it. Another 4 Years of Learning. Yay for Me I Guess”. Said A Short Purple dressed Worker Drone To herself Before Entering The Doors of the high school.
Uzi Doorman didn’t want to go back to school. She tried every Excuse in the book to get out of it but none of them worked. She couldn’t play the sick card. Her Dad Khan knew her too well for that to fool him. Then she suggested to rather go to her Mom Nori’s job at the coal factory instead of going to school, which didn’t go well. She could remember the whole conversation within her CPU from a few hours ago.
Earlier that Morning
The Doorman household
“But why can’t I?” She asked her father and resident Door maker of the Colony Khan. “I get to both spend time with Mom and get to have a new experience instead of just being here like I have all my life.
"But you are getting a New Experience by Going to School and Learning Things.” Khan said to her with a smile. “And Besides, your Mother will be Home for a bit Next week for Our anniversary Night.”
“Wait a Minute? Mom and Dad were going out without me? Was My dad finally letting me be home by Myself? “ Uzi then thought within her CPU while smiling to herself.
This was the moment she has been Waiting for Since she turned Seventeen. Finally she wasn’t going to be treated like a kid by her dad. Her mom Nori has always let her do her own things when she is around the house. But Khan however was a bit more stricter than her as he wanted to keep her safe in case anything bad happens to her.
While Uzi somewhat understood why he was so protective considering his job with the Worker Defense Force She didn’t like it. The Worker defense force’s job is to keep Watch of a bunch of doors to prevent the Murder drones from getting in. The Murder drones are these things that came here one day with no warning and No one in the colony knows where really they came from or even what they truly look like.
But Uzi wanted to know what they were all about. She wished that one day that she would be able to fight back against the Murder Drones. but she knows her Dad would never allow that to happen. But maybe this was the first step as her dad was finally allowing her to have her own freedom by herself.
“However, we couldn't just leave you unattended.” Khan then said Which bursted Uzi’s imagination.
“Wait What?” She then says with a shocked look on her visor.
“Which is why I asked my friend Jim from work if one of his kids could stay with you for the night and he said Yes." He then explained to her.
“Well…I Guess hanging out with Thad for a night is not so bad ”. Uzi Thought Within in her CPU.
Thad was the only one of her classmates who actually Liked her as a friend and didn’t consider her a weirdo or a freak. While he’s a jock he still has this helping nature to him that made Uzi like him. So that's not as horrible as she feared it would be. That is until she realized what her dad was doing.
“Please don't be her. Please don't be her.”
“So he said that Lizzy would be willing to watch you next week since you're going to high School with her.” Khan Says Finishing His Sentence.
Uzi could not believe This At all. After all these years he still thinks that she and Lizzy Sparker could be friends. She is The Self Proclaimed Leader of her School Just because Her parents are rich and is a complete jerk to her brother Thad and everyone including her. Whenever They’re at School she just pretends that he doesn’t Exist Even though He is her Brother just so she Can Keep her status. And Whenever She Throws a party She locks Thad in his room just so he possibly doesn’t ruin things.
Uzi couldn’t even come and hang out with Him to keep him company because the party is for Popular’s Only. Which basically meant that Only Lizzy’s friends and Her BoyFriend Braiden were invited. She knew that the hard way as she tried to Sneak in one time and ended up in a pile of scrap parts.
“Dad!? You know that I don’t like Lizzy and she doesn’t like me.” Uzi then yells to her dad.
“Well I figured this would be a nice experience so you two can become friends again.” He then told her.
“But Why Can’t Thad stay with me that night? He’s a friend?” “Because You and Him are too young to be by yourselves and Lizzy’s old enough to watch you.” Khan then tells her.
“Dad, I'm 17! Plus Lizzy hates me and I hate her so that’s not happening.” Uzi complained again.
“Well No one else was available During that time we’re out so you’re going to have to be on your best behavior with her next week while she’s here”. Khan finished explaining to Uzi.
“UGH! Just When I thought you were letting me be free you're still treating me like a child.” Uzi then said in an angered mood.
“I will let you stay home by yourself when you’re Eighteen. Now you're going to be late for Your first day of High school if you don’t get ready.” Khan then happily Said to her.
Uzi would have argued more about having Lizzy babysitting for her but decided against that and got ready for School since she wasn’t getting out of this or Lizzy Watching her.

And so here she was. Dressed In Her traditional and only Outfit she has basically. A Black Jacket Wearing a Purple Beanie in her black Boots. Uzi so Wishes that it was last week again where she was in her room making Things Like her Skateboard or any of her other Inventions. But she was here going into school having to deal with homework and Lizzy’s group of populars plus herself.
“Well. Look who we have here?” Then said a Feminine voice from down the hall.
So Uzi turned around and what do you know….Speaking of Lizzy and her friends were there in the hallway of the main area with her usual group of friends. Her Boyfriend Braiden and her best buddies Sam And Rebecca.
“It’s The Dorkman.”
“Oh Bite Me! Since when did you care about anyone other than yourself or your friends? You don’t even care about Thad?” Uzi argued and shouted back clearly pissed that she had to be watched by her along with everything else along with everything else.
“Who’s Thad?” Sam whispered to Lizzy.
“No one inportant. Anyway. I’m going to be watching you next week at your place”. She then said while turning her direction to Uzi and tells her.
“Thanks. I already know that. Is that all you wanted to say to me?” Uzi remarks back to her.
“No. Me and my friends are doing a book inspection." Lizzy then tells her.
“There has never been a book inspection before in the school bunkers.” She thought to herself.
“Wait? I thought we were just…Ow!" Sam begins to say to Lizzy before she elbows Him.
“Shh don't spill it”. Lizzy quietly said to Him.
“It’s this new thing we’re doing with all students where we inspect your books and then return them to you”. Lizzy then turns back and tells Uzi.
“Why would a book need to be inspected?” Uzi said now being very suspicious about this whole thing.
“It’s because uh..” Lizzy was now struggling in how to continue this lie.
She thought that the dork would fall for the bit like all the others so far today and they could steal the books but Uzi was being smart. But she then came up with an idea.
“Well you see we have been told that some books have been deemed as faulty as of late and the principal wanted us to check every student’s books to see if they’re not worn out.” Lizzy explains to her.
“I guess it would be worth a look to see in case.” Uzi said while opening her bag and giving Lizzy her books.
“Thanks. We will check these books and return them to you by the end of the day.” She tells her happily.
“Sure You Witch.” Uzi snarks at Lizzy.
Surprisingly Lizzy didn’t snark back at her remark like she usually does to her.
“Thanks for the support.” Lizzy happily said back while walking away with her books.
And so off they went with her books. God they were all pretentious. But as Uzi proceeded to walk down the hall towards her locker she then realized something.
“Wait a minute? Books aren’t like computers. They don’t get faulty?”
She could not believe it. Now it all made sense. The unusual Niceness she was having,Her not snarking back at her as much. It was all a Prank. She got tricked by Lizzy and now she and her friends have her books. So she immediately turned around and went down the hall where she saw Lizzy and her friends went down.
But When she got there she didn’t see them at all but did see a bunch of books on top of lockers. Uzi now understood what they were doing. They were tricking other Students into thinking there’s a book inspection and then taking them and hiding them on top of the lockers. Of course they would not get in trouble because no one would be able to trace this back to them. Now Uzi had to find which locker had her books on top of it.
“Ugh. I Goddamn hate it here!” Uzi groaned in frustration.
