Team JNPR's Dorm

*RRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG*

*Sighs*  'Alright. Alright. I get it.'  Jaune thought as he woke up with a yawn. He rubbed his eyes before turning to turn off his scroll's alarm.

Sitting up in his bed, Jaune smacked his lips to get the horrible taste of waking up out of his mouth. Stretching a bit more, Jaune tossed the covers off himself before standing up. He then took a moment to collect himself and let his eyes adjust to the morning light. Jaune then looked over at the calendar hanging above his desk and saw that it was Thursday, meaning he had classes today. And they just so happened to be his least favorite subjects.

'Joy.'  Jaune thought as he grabbed his clothes so he could take a shower. Letting out another yawn, he entered the bathroom so he could get ready for the day. 

Twenty Minutes Later

"Morning, Jaune." Pyrrha said as she woke up and let out a yawn.

"Morning, Pyr." Jaune said as he dried his hair.

"Morning, Jaune-Jaune." Nora said as she got her books.

"Good morning, Jaune." Ren said as he made his bed.

"Morning, Nora. Morning, Ren." Jaune said as he got his books ready. But the amount he had was nearly double the amount Nora had. And that was because he had three more classes than his teammates due to being the team's leader.

"Anyone got any plans after classes?" Pyrra asked as she gathered her clothes.

"Aside from finishing a project, no." Nora answered.

"I'll be finishing an assignment for Ms. Goodwitch's class. After that, I'll probably meditate for a bit and then watch a movie on my scroll." Ren answered.

"What about you, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, turning to her crush. She secretly hoped for Jaune to say that he had nothing planned. It would allow her to take him to Vale and confess her feelings to him. 

"Uh. Let me think." Jaune said as he racked his brain. He knew he had something to do today, but he couldn't remember what. However, before he could say anything, his scroll went off.

"That's a nice song." Nora said while humming along.

"Who's calling you, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.

"Not calling. Just a group text with some friends." Jaune answered while Ren smirked in the background as the song told him what 'friend group' texted his leader.

"What kind of friends?" Nora asked, curious.

"Just some childhood friends." 

"What did they say?" Pyrrha asked, also curious. 

"Let me see." Jaune said as he opened the message. And he thanked the Brothers above and any other god out there that he did not blush. While the text itself only reminded him that he was supposed to meet up with his 'friends' later, it was the image underneath it that nearly caused him to blush, drop his scroll out of shock, and almost caused his body to divert its blood flow to his other head in his pants. "They just reminded me that I'm supposed to meet up with them later after classes end."

"Oh. That's great." Pyrrha dejectedly said. While she was happy to learn that her crush did have friends outside of Beacon, she was hoping to spend the day with him. But Pyrrha then remembered that there was always next time. And next week was the start of their two-week spring break. So that gave her plenty of chances to finally confess her feelings to Jaune. "So, what time are you meeting them after class?" 

"My last class ends at four. After that, I'll drop off my books and then head into Vale so I can meet up with them at five." 

"Oh, alright. Just be safe, Jaune."

"I will, Pyrrha. Don't worry. And if anything happens, I'll text you guys." Jaune assured, causing Pyrrha to smile. However, internally, Jaune knew he wouldn't need to text his teammates if something happened. The reason was that three of his 'friends' were skilled fighters. And another, while not a 'fighter,' could easily knock out most people with ease and can more than hold her own. But, despite this, Jaune would occasionally text his friends so they didn't worry.

"Thanks, Jaune." 

"Do you think we can meet your friends, Jaune?" Nora asked.

"Not now." Jaune quickly answered, surprising his teammates. He then coughed to clear his throat. "Sorry about that. But uh. Yeah. Of course, you guys can meet them, just not now. But down the road, yes. We can even make it another sort of team outing." 

"Oh. I get it now." Nora said, smirking, causing a shiver to go down Jaune's spine while Ren tensed.

"W-what do you get, Nora?" Jaune asked, with Ren getting ready to intervene should things go south.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"What is it?" Jaune asked as Pyrrha looked between everyone while also being curious about what Nora was getting at.

"YOU'RE GOING TO THAT VIP LIGHT BALANCE SHOW WITH YOUR FRIENDS! I'M SO JEALOUS!" Nora shouted.

"Oh. Yes. Yes. We are." Jaune said, relieved that Nora wasn't correct. 

"Lucky. I've been wanting to see them live for ssssoooo long." 

"Maybe one day, Nora." Ren said.

"And maybe sooner than you think." Jaune said.

"Hopefully." Nora said, smiling.

"But what will happen soon is us getting detention. We still have classes. And while I don't know about you three, I want to have some breakfast before heading to class." Pyrrha said. As much as she didn't want to break up this moment, she knew she had to remind them; otherwise, they all would get into trouble.

"Right. We should finish getting ready." Jaune said. 

"I'll go and hold our table." Nora said before grabbing her stuff and dashing out of the dorm.

"And I'll go take a quick shower." Pyrrha said as she grabbed her clothes and entered the bathroom.

"That was a close call." Ren said.

"It was." Jaune agreed.

"So."

"So?" Jaune asked, confused, as he turned back to Ren and saw him smirking.

"What did they send?" 

"Let's just say. All seven of them sent me a picture of them huddled together in front of the camera, smiling, smirking, or embarrassed, as they pulled down their... concealments to reveal their... missiles with stiff tips on top." Jaune said, careful about how he worded his answer. 

While Jaune and Ren felt comfortable enough around each other and knew each other enough to discuss some more adult topics, they still had to be careful when in their dorm and in Beacon in general. Jaune trusted Ren enough to tell him his secret. But he did not dare tell anyone else. Not everyone was as mature as them, and they didn't need rumors spreading around the school due to someone overhearing their conversation as they passed their dorm.

"Talk about a nice photo to remind you of your... adventure later, Jaune." Ren said, chuckling. "You're one lucky man, Jaune. Imagine having seven good 'friends' at the same time."

"Yeah. I really am lucky." Jaune said, rolling his eyes. "Anyway. I got you and Nora something."

"And what's that?" Ren asked as Jaune went to his desk, opened the drawer, and pulled something out.

"I know you have been wanting to take Nora out so you can tell her how you feel. So, I called my eldest sister and traded a few favors to get VIP seats for today's Light Balance show at six." Jaune said as he handed Ren the tickets.

"Thanks, Jaune." Ren said, smiling.

"No problem, Ren."

"But uh. What should I tell Nora? She thinks you're going to the show with your friends. And you confirmed it."

"Oh. Just tell her that we're seeing a private unlisted performance. And that it would be much later than your show."

"Alright." Ren said. As much as he didn't like lying to his friends, especially Nora, he knew that if he didn't, it would cause a lot of unneeded drama and problems.

"Now come on. We need to finish getting ready." 

"Right." Ren said as he collected his books. "Also. When do you think you will be returning from hanging out with your friends?"

"Probably very late. Maybe around midnight or a little later, I'll be back."

"Alright. I'll the dorm door unlocked."

"Thanks, Ren." Jaune said as he grabbed a few boxes containing 'special' items inside from underneath his bed. 

Ten Minutes Later

"There you guys are." Ruby shouted before taking a sip of her drink. And as usual, it was milk. While not bad, the others, specifically Yang, had given up on trying to get Ruby to drink anything else for breakfast.

"Here we are." Jaune said as he and his team sat down with their food and began eating.

"How did you guys sleep?" Weiss asked.

"Fine." Ren answered.

"Great. I had the best dream of pancakes." Nora answered.

"Excellent. And the dream I had was great too." Pyrrha answered, blushing. And her blush told Team Rwby that the dream was about her and Jaune. 

"What about you, Jaune?" Blake asked before taking a sip of her tea.

"Mostly fine. I didn't get to sleep that much since some people kept calling me." Jaune answered.

"So that's the noise I heard last night." Ruby said.

"Why were you up that late, Ruby?" Yang asked through narrow eyes.

"Using the bathroom and getting a glass of water."

"Oh. Okay. That's fine."

"Who was calling you, Jaune?" Weiss asked.

"Just some friends." Jaune answered.

"The same ones you're going to hang out with later, Jaune?" Nora asked.

"No. Some others I met online a while ago."

"Jaune. How many times have I told you? Sleep is important. You need at least seven hours of sleep. You should have just told them to call you back later." Pyrrha scolded, causing Team Rwby to laugh.

"She really does love Vomit Boy." Yang whispered to her team.

"A lot." Blake said, smirking.

"I wonder when she is going to confess." Ruby said.

"What? Want to get some info on the competition, sis?" Yang teased, causing Ruby to blush.

"So, what's on everyone's schedule?" Ren asked.

"Nothing much for today. But I am going out later to pick up a book I ordered recently." Blake answered.

"I need to head into town to buy some food for Zwei. He's running low." Ruby answered. "After that, I will probably spend the rest of the day in our dorm."

"I'm expecting a call from my mom later." Yang uneasily answered.

"Wait. Ruby. Wouldn't that include you?" Nora asked, confused.

"Nope. Yang is expecting a call from her biological mother." Ruby answered.

"Huh?" Everyone else asked, confused.

"Yeah. Ruby and I are sisters. But technically, we're half-sisters. Same father, different mother." Yang explained. 

"Ah." Everyone else said.

"But why did you seem so... uneasy about the call?" Nora asked.

"Nora." Ren chided.

"It's fine, Ren. It's just that my... mother and I don't have the best relationship... which is putting it lightly. I can't really explain much since most of it is personal. But my mom has been wanting to reconnect recently." 

"But it feels so out of place and awkward, especially given your current relationship with her and whatever else happened." Weiss said.

"That's one way to put it. But yeah. It feels awkward, especially since it came out of nowhere."

"Are you and mother getting along?" Pyrrha asked.

"Yes. So far, and for the most part. It's still tense and awkward. But I think we're getting to the point where we can hold an actual conversation for a few moments without it getting uncomfortable."

'That's good. I'm glad she actually decided to contact Yang and reconnect. It certainly did take some convincing.'  Jaune thought. "Well. Hopefully, it all works out in the end."

"Hopefully, Vomit Boy." Yang said, smirking.

"Will you ever stop calling me by that nickname?"

"Nope." Yang answered, causing Jaune to roll his eyes. "But anyway. Enough about that. We told you what we had planned for today. But what about you guys?" 

"Nothing today, really. I might train a bit after classes and then watch a movie or read a book." Pyrrha answered.

"I need to head into town after class to pick up some things for Magnhild." Nora answered.

"Want me to join you, Nora?" Ren asked, earning a nod from Jaune.

"Of course, Renny." Nora answered, smiling.

"What about you, Jaune?" Ruby asked.

"Going to hang out with some childhood friends." Jaune answered.

"Oh. That's nice." Blake said.

"Although, I am surprised that you have friends outside of us, Arc." Weiss said with a smirk.

"Why does everyone think I had no friends before coming to Beacon?" Jaune asked. "I mean, I know I am slightly awkward, but still."

"Relax, Arc. It was just a joke." Weiss said, chuckling.

"Sure." Jaune said, rolling his eyes.

"But still. It's always nice having friends, especially ones you can trust." Yang said.

"I wish I could be more than just one." Pyrrha muttered while eyeing her crush. But while most didn't hear it, Blake did due to her enhanced hearing, causing her to smirk. 

'While I prefer to stay out of people's business, I think Yang and I could give Pyrrha a little help in getting her together with Jaune. They are perfect for each other.'  Blake thought, smirking. But then she remembered something.  'Wait. Velvet is also crushing on him. Maybe we shouldn't. Or, perhaps we can get all three of them into a relationship with each other. Well, that is if Jaune is open to that kind of relationship.

"That's true, Yang." Jaune said.

"But you know what's better than having friends you can trust?" Yang asked.

"What?" Jaune asked, curious.

"Having a special someone for some sexy times." Yang said, causing Pyrrha to stiffen. 

"JAUNE!" Pyrrha shouted, snapping back to focus when she heard Jaune coughing. "Are you okay, Jaune?"

"I'm fine, Pyrrha." Jaune answered after taking a sip of his drink. "I just wasn't expecting Yang's answerer."

"Oh. Okay. But are you alright?" Pyrrha asked, eyeing Yang, who smirked.

"Yes, I'm fine, Pyr. Don't worry." Jaune said with a smile that sent Pyrrha's heart fluttering.

"Okay." Pyrrha said, smiling.

"But it's just some friends Yang." Jaune said, turning back to Yang.

"Sure they are. Anyway. It's good that you have other friends, Jaune." Yang said, chuckling, before turning to Ruby. "If only someone else tried to make some friends."

"I told you, Yang. I don't need any more friends since I have you, our team, Jaune, his team, and my baby, Crescent Rose." Ruby pouted. 

"Still, Ruby. More friends aren't bad. Well, as long as they are true friends rather than those false friends." Weiss said, earning an eye roll from the young reaper.

"Anyway. What about next week during our vacation?" Jaune asked, much to the relief of Ruby. "Any plans?"

"Again, nothing much. I'll probably use it to finish my assignments and finish the book I'm currently reading." Blake answered before remembering something else. "Oh. And my mom is visiting next Wednesday. So, I'll spend the day with her."

"I need to catch up on some assignments. So, I'll be busy most of the week. But my mom is also visiting this Thursday. So, I'll be spending the day with her." Ruby said.

"My mother and older sister will be visiting me this Friday." Weiss said. "Which is surprising, to say the least."

"How so?" Ren asked, curious.

"Surpsing in the fact that they both managed to find time to come. And that's because my sister, Winter, is a specialist in the Atlas Kingdom. As such, comes a lot of responsibilities. And they often keep her far too busy for any time to herself, let alone come all the way to Vale. So for her to gain sudden off time is surprising. But it's not unwelcome, as I enjoy spending time with her since she helped raise and guide me during some more... difficult years."

"And your mother?' Yang asked.

"It's somewhat similar to that of Winter's reason. Because of my 'father's' passing, my mother has to take the reins of the SDC and restore its image that he tainted. Now, she's swamped with paperwork to the point of barely getting any sleep. Thankfully, Ironwood sent some of his trusted personnel to help with the workload. Although, we think he did it out of guilt for not doing anything while Jaqcues was alive. So, again, it's a surprise that she managed to find enough time to come here."

"I'm sorry for your father's passing, Weiss." Ruby said.

"Don't be. He was a poor excuse for a man that made our lives, especially my mother's life, a living hell. He even caused her to go into a spiraling depression and gain an addiction to wine." Weiss said with a huff. And through her tone, the others could tell she despised the man. "Thankfully, Winter and I managed to pull her out of it. Now, she's happy and full of life again." 

"Well, I'm glad your mom is doing better, Weiss." Jaune said.

"Thanks, Arc. I'm glad she's doing better now, too. It's nice seeing her genuinely smile again." Weiss said as she finished her coffee. 

"It really is nice to see one's parent's smiling. I know I like it when my mom is happy." Blake said, smiling.

"It's especially nice to see them happy after seeing them sacrifice so much for you." Pyrrha said with a forced smile. While she had a great relationship with her mother, she did miss her. Since her mother was still in Mistral and due to the events her sponsors forced on her, Pyrrha hadn't seen her mother in nearly eighteen months. The last time she even managed to talk with her was last month.  'I just hope she's doing fine. Hopefully, we can find an opening to talk again. I have some lien saved. Maybe I can fly to see her during the vacation. And perhaps I could ask Jaune to come with me. I know we still have to get into a relationship, but it would be nice if he could meet my mom. And down the road, I could meet his.'

"But speaking of moms. Will you be meeting with your mom, Yang?" Nora asked.

"No. I think it might be a bit early to meet each other face-to-face again. But maybe down the road, we can set up a time and place to meet." Yang answered.

"Yeah. And while I haven't met her, I'm pretty sure she would like to meet you in person again, Yang." Jaune said. However, as he said this, he wasn't looking at Yang. He was looking past her toward the windows where a raven landed on the edge. The raven nodded before flying away.

"Maybe. We'll see."

"Any other plans for you, Yang?" Pyrrha asked.

"Aside from catching up on some assignments, no. Oh. I just remembered. I'm going to this bike show later in the week."

"Will you be entering your bike, or are you just going to watch?" Blake asked.

"Just watch. I don't feel like competing." 

"Alright."

"But what about you guys? Any plans for the weekend?" Weiss asked.

"No." Ren said.

"Well, at least for next weekend. Me and Renny will be going to a festival on the other side of town this week." Nora added.

"Like a date?" Yang asked with a smirk.

"No. Not like a date." Nora answered. And through her tone, everyone could tell she wanted it to be one.

'Don't worry, Nora. Hopefully, that will change today.'  Jaune thought.

"What about you two? Any plans?" Yang asked.

"I might try and call my mom later in the week. But aside from that, not really." Pyrrha answered.

"I might call my family." Jaune answered. "But while I don't have any plans, we might do a team outing during the vacation."

"Oh, that's a good idea. We should do one." Ruby said.

"We should. It's been a while since we did anything together as a team." Yang said.

"We should." Blake agreed.

"But let's try not to destroy anything during the team outing. I don't feel like getting detention so soon." Weiss said with a smirk.

"No promises." Ruby and Yang said, causing Blake and Weiss to chuckle.

*Ding*

"Well. That's the bell. We should get to class now." Pyrrha said as everyone cleaned up.

"Yes. I wasn't kidding when I said I didn't want another detention." Weiss said.

"Let's go then." Blake said as everyone, minus Jaune and Ren, left the cafeteria.

"I take it the bird was her, right?" Ren asked.

"Yes. Although, I was surprised she was here." Jaune answered.

"Maybe she wanted to remind you that you will be meeting them later."

"Possibly."

"And did you have any involvement with her wanting to reconnect with Yang?" 

"Not in the way you're thinking." 

"How then?" Ren asked, curious.

"Raven already wanted to reconnect with Yang before everything happened. I and the others just helped her and encouraged her to go through with it. And we helped her stick with it whenever she felt like backing off or didn't know what to say to Yang during their conversations."

"Oh. That's nice. Hopefully, it all works out with Yang and her mother."

"Hopefully. It's obvious both want to reconnect with each other."

"But speaking of wanting to reconnect, don't forget to get those raincoats from under your bed unless you want some surprises in the future, especially with those two specific friends." Ren said, smirking. But as he said this, he looked around to ensure no one was eavesdropping on them. Thankfully, everyone was focused on finishing their meals or getting to class to pay attention to them.

"Right. I nearly forgot." Jaune said. While he always did want kids, he wanted to wait until he graduated Beacon before having any. 

"Anyway. We should get going before the others get suspicious." Ren said.

"Right." Jaune said as they exited the cafeteria.

Eight Hours Later

*RRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGG*

"Alright, class. That's the bell. For your homework for the break, read through pages 1000-1250 and write a ten-page essay about the decisive battles the Great King won during the Great War that turned everything in his favor." Doctor Oobleck said before taking a sip of his coffee. "You're free to go."

'Finally.'  Jaune thought as he put his books in his bag.

Standing up, Jaune stretched before grabbing his bags and exiting the classroom. Although, he did have to duck to avoid getting hit by the rubber that Team Crdl threw at him. But as if karma was furious with them and wanted to get revenge, the rubber ended up hitting Glynda in the face. Once Team Crdl realized this, they tried to make themselves hidden. Yet, Glynda knew it was them and used her semblance to keep them in place as she entered the room while Doctor Oobleck sighed. And judging by how a vein on her seemed ready to pop, Jaune knew they were in serious trouble.

'Talk about timing.'  Jaune thought as he headed to his dorm.

Feeling his scroll vibrate, Jaune took it out and saw that he received another message from his good 'friends.' Looking around to ensure he was alone, Jaune opened the message and sighed when he discovered there was no raunchy image attached.

'Hey, Lover.

Don't forget; we have a date today, followed by some special fun time afterward. Meet us at Natasha's outdoor dinner that's a few blocks down from the Shopkeep's bookstore. I'll send you the address in a bit. But in the meantime, here's a picture of us.' 

'Okay. That's a lovely photo, one that I can show my family.'  Jaune thought as he saved the photo to his scroll. 

While the previous photo nearly sent him pitching a tent, this picture was entirely wholesome. It was a picture of four of his 'friends' sitting together and smiling while leaning into each other. Well, two of them had loving smiles on their faces. The third had one eye closed with her tongue slightly out, yet was still smiling. To some, it might seem slightly seductive, yet, Jaune found it cute. The fourth seemed slightly embarrassed that she was doing this, yet smiled nonetheless. However, Jaune wondered where the others were.

'I'll ask them when I get there. I still can't believe I'm in a relationship with all of them.'  Jaune thought as he reached his dorm. 

Opening the door, Jaune was surprised that none of his teammates were there. He figured that Ren already took Nora out to town. But for a few moments, Jaune became worried about Pyrrha. Thankfully, he got his answer when Pyrrha texted him in the group chat, saying that she had to deal with her sponsors and won't be back until around eight. Jaune sighed in relief before going over to his bed and dropping his bag on it. He then grabbed some clothes before heading into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

After a few moments, Jaune exited the bathroom while wearing some fresh, nice-looking clothes. He then walked over to his desk, opened the drawer, and pulled out some perfume before spritzing it on himself. Putting it away, Jaune then grabbed some spare lien he keeps for situations like this. After pocketing his wallet, Jaune double-checked to ensure the door was locked before getting on his knees and pulling out a second backpack. Picking it up and placing it on his bed, Jaune reached in and pulled out a small black box with a combination lock. Inputting the code, he opened and pulled out a package of condoms. While some would find this ridiculous, Jaune felt it was necessary. And the main reason was Ruby and Yang. While Jaune knew his teammates wouldn't invade his personal privacy, he could not say the same for Ruby and Yang. 

'All right. I think I have everything.'  Jaune thought as he did a mental check on what he had and what he thought he would need. Satisfied, Jaune grabbed his keys before exiting the dorm and closing the door. "Time to head out."

"Head out where?" A voice asked, startling him. Turning around, Jaune smiled when he saw Velvet smiling at him.

"Oh, hey, Velvet." Jaune said as he calmed his racing heart.

"Hey, Jaune." Velvet said, smiling. But she had to try her best not to blush at how handsome her crush looked to her, and the perfume suited him perfectly. "Where are you going, and where's the rest of your team?"

"I'm heading into town to hang out with some childhood friends. As for my team. Ren and Nora are out in town as well. Pyrrha is somewhere dealing with her sponsors. And I should probably bring her back some chocolate so she can unwind from having to deal with them."

"Oh, so that's what that cursing was." Velvet said. After her last class finished, she decided to head to her dorm for a quick snack. But on her way there, she had the familiar voice of Pyrrha cursing so much that it shocked her. Yet, Velvet now understood why Pyrrha was cursing as she felt she would be doing the same if she also had sponsors breathing down her neck like Pyrrha had. 

"Yeah. Saying they are a headache is a vast understatement. Honestly, Pyrrha has the patience of an angel to deal with them." 

"I think she has even more patience than Glynda, at least when it comes to dealing with her sponsors."

"I'm pretty sure Glynda would have smited them within the first ten seconds of talking with her. Well, that is if she doesn't strike fear into their souls first." Jaune said, causing him and Velvet to chuckle.

"True." Velvet agreed. There was a reason why Ozpin always sent Glynda when the council tried to cut the school's budget when they said the lien wasn't 'necessary' and would be better used 'elsewhere' that's more 'important.' 

"But yeah. Anyway. I'm heading into town to hang out with some childhood friends. What about you? Any plans today?" 

"No. I already trained today and completed all my assignments. We would also have team training, but Coco canceled it since she has to go across town to pick up some supplies she ordered." Velvet answered. "So, I'll most likely relax and maybe watch a movie with Fox and Yatsuhashi."

"That sounds fun."

"It will be if they don't put a spy or horror movie."

"Not a fan of those?" Jaune asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Not for horror movies. As for spy movies, we have seen so many that I am getting tired of them."

"I know that feeling. My sisters loved watching this one movie and forced me to watch it with them all the time." Jaune said.

"Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have siblings. But when I hear stories like that, I'm glad to have been an only child."

"Well, there are pros and cons when it comes to having and not having siblings." Jaune said. "Anyway. How about the weekend and the break? Any plans?"

'Aside from working up the courage to ask you out.'  Velvet thought, blushing slightly. "My mom is visiting this weekend. I'll be spending time with her. After that, I'm not sure."

'Wow. It seems like my vacation is going to be pretty busy. And not just for me, but for everyone else. But it is nice seeing my friends spending time with their parents.'  Jaune thought while silently thanking the Brothers that he was able to keep his composure. "That's nice. Anyway. I have to get going now. My friends are not that patient."
