Background
BlackWatch
Slogan: May the Raven’s Cry be your Guide.
BlackWatch Creed:
I am a BlackWatch Mercenary.
I will carry out missions that are handed to me.
For I am loyal to my team and contract.
For I do not yield to any opposing force to BlackWatch.
Be it an army, navy, or airborne.
I will fight to the very end.
I do not accept defeat.
I will never leave my own behind.
I will live by our Creed.
For we are BlackWatch, for I am part of a team, a unit, and resolve.
BlackWatch is a PMC that takes place after the events of the Human-Covenant War in 2552. Officially founded in 2560 on September 22nd. BlackWatch has been a significant force during the postwar period of the Human-Covenant War, as well as a major technological advancement compared to other major powers.
Their personal events are highly confidential and classified, that goes for all its Single Operations(including Operation StrongArm, Testament, Slayer, RainStorm, Origins, HAMR, and Tempest). Although BlackWatch does provide security and certain technologies to various clients, its main focus lies in taking contracts from different worlds. These contracts can differ from each other, from intelligence gathering, target extraction, counter-terrorism, high-value target elimination, unconventional warfare, and etcetera.
BlackWatch’s insignia has a gray shield with a slightly smaller, darker toned shield inside. Inside the toned shield is a black, red-eyed Raven with two sets of wings, its beak and wings open and talons out, a gray banner above with the words ‘PMC BLACKWATCH’, and two golden Chevrons pointing down under the Raven.
BlackWatch members are to wear this insignia with pride, honor, loyalty, and dignity. As they represent the best the PMC world has to offer. This patch is to be worn on the mercenary’s right shoulder.
On some occasions, BlackWatch may do operations, in which it only involves its own forces, against a larger opposing force. When BlackWatch does these types of operations, on either large or small scale, they consider the appropriate use of equipment and finances when doing those operations. As such, the large-scale operations are not considered, unless they have enough interest to consider one. To BlackWatch a large scale operation cost on average 5.8 billion USD or 2.32 billion credits, while a small scale operation cost around 1.2 billion USD or 480 million credits.
BlackWatch is classified as a Private Military Company(PMC) as they cannot conduct or engage in a war, due to certain conventions. But this does not discern some of their own members, as some do it under a veil of secrecy. BlackWatch executives are aware of their members but do not discern themselves with it as long as they do not overextend their reach.
The BlackWatch company prides itself in its skilled and experienced mercenaries, who have backgrounds in either military, special forces, or intelligence agencies. BlackWatch does tend to recruit individuals from various nations and worlds to ensure a diverse and versatile workforce, capable of adapting to different environments and contexts.
BlackWatch provides their mercenaries for HVT protection, protection of facilities and assets, conduction of comprehensive risk assessments for clients, HVT elimination, HVT capture, or contracts revolving elimination of targets. BlackWatch also offers training programs for their more inexperienced recruits as a way to make sure to have ready-to-go mercenaries on standby without resorting to retired soldiers.
BlackWatch possesses cutting-edge technologies developed in-house or acquired through strategic partnerships. These technologies encompass advanced surveillance systems, encrypted communication networks, tactical gear, and specialized weaponry designed to enhance mission effectiveness and ensure the safety of personnel.
BlackWatch also has its own manufacturer called BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer. BW Weapons Manufacturer(BWWM) makes most if not all of the equipment for all of their mercenaries, The reason is not disclosed to the public, but when it is, it is simply for standardization of equipment. As getting many different types of weapons systems can be challenging for logistical reasons for mercenaries. BWWM also produces their own vehicles which can include: space vessels, helicopters, jet fighters, tanks, armored vehicles, and light vehicles. Instead of relying on external forces as it can complicate operations or contracts.
BlackWatch operates with a strict code of conduct that emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. All personnel are to adhere to these principles, ensuring the highest level of trust and discretion. Confidentiality is one of the most, if not most paramount for all the BlackWatch mercenaries. Sensitive information regarding their clients, operations, and technologies, as well as any personnel, must be safeguarded with the utmost care when out doing contracts or operations. If any of these are broken by personnel then they are to be found and detained, no matter the intensity.
With a reputation for excellence and a track record of successful contracts that are publicly available, BlackWatch is considered one of the best PMCs to contract and join. Clients from government agencies, corporations, and private individuals contract BlackWatch to provide efficient and effective protection for their security and operational needs.
Although for their reputation, BlackWatch has seen some controversies about what they do which includes: The lack of Accountability, Human Rights Violations, Secrecy and lack of public information, Private interests, and allegations in Proxy Wars. BlackWatch discloses these accusations as they are a PMC. They have no say in what their clients want, but they do say that their mercenaries have their freedoms when conducting their contracts as long as they don’t overrule their ROE of the contract.
There have been lingering theories about BlackWatch as well, one of the main ones being the secrecy of their single operations, some speculate what they each meant by their names. Another is special units, there are whispers within the Organization that there are BlackWatch operators with dark red visor helmets, and some speculate what these units do. As they do not act like normal BlackWatch members.
BlackWatch consists of 3 Corps that makes up BlackWatch. Each Corps has a single specialty regiment within, with what they do being highly classified to the public.
As different worlds and countries continue to face new and difficult challenges, BlackWatch stays at the forefront of technological advancements, and maintains the highest standards of professionalism and expertise in the field of private military contracting.
BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer (BWWM)
What sets BlackWatch apart from other PMCs is their ability for self-reliance. With BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers or BWWM, they are able to produce all of their equipment and have a streamlined production without external assistance or companies. Although initially, they didn’t have BWWM when they first started, a year later they were able to establish BWWM within the confines of a planetary system. Resources to sustain BlackWatch are never dry as they keep exploring new planets and finding precious resources as well as using meteorites as mines to collect precious materials.
However, BWWM may not be able to sell its equipment under any circumstances. But for one case, for example, a variant of the MBT 5, the MBT 5.83 Export. The MBT Export is a heavily downgraded model of the MBT 5.82. Removing all BlackWatch tech and replacing it with older UNSC tech, makes it available to sell to other buyers. Or countries that are interested. However, all other weapons, weapon systems, and BW vehicles are unavailable for retail.
BlackWatch Research and Development (R&D)
BlackWatch also has a research and development department for them. They make new technologies for them or figure out technologies that are unknown to them and figure out what they do.
BW R&D is fully funded and gives out contracts for their mercenaries to do. From grabbing important intel from different worlds or ‘collecting’ individuals that have certain affinities.
BlackWatch Bank & Services (BW B&S)
BW B&S is a privately owned division of BlackWatch. This division operates to manage the financial parts of being a PMC. From operations to contracts, this division is highly regarded as an important stepping stone for BlackWatch.
This division also provides BW personnel with a vast array of financial services:
- Checking and Saving accounts for personnel.
- Loan options for personal housing, vehicle acquisition, and equipment.
- Investment assistance
- Liability insurance
This division also provides discreet, secure, and efficient transactions for both personnel and clients. They also make sure that each transaction is recorded for any reason if they were to be in any legal trouble.
Although taxation for BlackWatch varies, any equipment bought by personnel is recorded by B&S and then given to the personnel for them to do their own taxes.
BW B&S is located on the home planet of BlackWatch and has many smaller locations in other planetary systems. How BlackWatch gets funds for their operators is by investors, shareholders, and governmental assistance.
BlackWatch Salary and Pay
BlackWatch recruits that are relieved of Basic Training are given 1000 credits in funds to supply them in missions. Most are recommended to complete contracts that range from 1000-5000 credits as they are considered low in threat level but if the recruits feel if they are ready to take on contracts over the 5000 credit mark, then they are to be watched by another squad to make sure no recruits dies within the process.
Most Contracts that BlackWatch takes usually are 5,000-500,000 for most contracts. Although when a high pay contract comes up it is usually first come first served, although details are often difficult to come across and often require additional teams to complete. BlackWatch takes a 15% cut from all of their mercenaries: 10% for logistics and 5% for headquarters (ex. The corps they are in). BlackWatch team leadership is to be expected to take at least 10% of the contract pay while the rest of the team has the 90%, from the lowest rank getting the most (I.E. 40-50%) to highest getting the least(20-40%). The distribution is by rank, not by who does what within the contract.
Should any mercenary fail to complete a contract, no credits will be deducted from their pay; rather, the squad would have to go lower in ‘difficulty’ of contracts until they complete a quota set by their chain of command.

Ranks G# = Grade Number
What is the Grade number? The Grade number is a way to show that a person is higher than the initial rank but lower than the next rank. There are nuances to the grades, for example a CPL G1/SPC G1, may do more than CPL/SPC, but less than a SGT.
FOs and COs: what are the differences?
FOs or Field Officers are like NCOs(Non-Commissioned Officers) to NCOs in a sense. They are Specialized individuals that have experience with certain aspects towards combat and commanding a team size element. Promotion for FOs is by their total file of successful contracts, their difficulty, and achievements during their careers and contracts. All FOs are considered eligible by the rank of Staff Sergeant or higher and may be subject to promotion. FOs are also to be called Sirs or Ma’am’s. FOs are also ranks that are not ‘earned’ in a sense. They must have considerable value and experience and the rank of an FO determines what they must do.

BlackWatch Teams:
BlackWatch Teams are named after the NATO alphabet, going up from 1 to 20. For example, Hotel 1 to 20. Each individual team has around 4-6 personnel, counting as a fireteam.
If a BlackWatch Team name is not utilizing the NATO alphabet, then either the team has gotten permission from a Captain or any higher rank.
BlackWatch Squadron language:
This is something that I completely have made up. For example:
“This is Delta 5-1, we’re at the RP,”
In this example, ‘Delta 5-1’ is the person that is talking which is self-explanatory. But in real military terms, this would be Delta Company 5th platoon; 1st squad. And that is the one thing that I do not want to confuse any military people.
In doing so it will be like this, in the same example, ‘Delta 5-1’ is the squad leader of Delta 5, and is designated as Delta 5-1, to which they are part of Delta Platoon, of the 5th team; 1st position. The reason for this is a more simplified version of this, rather than getting into the nitty-gritty of military language.
So ‘Delta 5-1’ is the team leader then that means ‘Delta 5-2’ is the person in 2nd position of the team. So on and so forth.
Additionally, when there are two of the same team names and numbers but they are from different Corps, that is where confusion might get. So in doing with that, I have done this for example:
“Delta 2/1-1, This is Delta 3/1-1, requesting a resupply point, over,”
“Copy Delta 3/1-1, resupply point will be marked on your map, ETA 5 mikes, over,”
“Roger Delta 2/1-1, out,”
In the example, ‘Delta 1-1’ is still explicitly stated but there is a ‘2/’ next to the ‘1’ and that ‘2/’ represents the corps they are a part of. But if more info is needed the speaker will clarify themselves.
BlackWatch Bounty System
How BlackWatch’s Bounty system works is by how much a contract is cost dependent on how difficult the situation calls for, and or the type of situation it is placed in. Example, a contract on a person who is trafficking people; a high price and how to deal with it. A contract that requires people who can deal with smaller mundane tasks; usually, a smaller price.
Each contract is uniquely different and complicated. So to compromise, compiling data on how to deal with many types of opponents is recorded by video logs on BlackWatch operator's helmets.
With opponents that are unknown to BlackWatch, a Reconnaissance brigade is sent to compile data on how they work, especially if they are going to repeat the same type of operations or opponents.
Note-worthy Formations
1st Army; 2nd corp; 2nd Division; 2nd Infantry Brigade; 2nd Cavalry Regiment codename: “Black-Ops”:
This regiment deals mostly with the more immorally ambiguous contracts that BlackWatch agrees to. Within it, comes high money benefits and long-term therapy for the personnel. From Assassination to Genocide, this type of work is not for the faintest of hearts. There is a difficulty trying to figure out who is part of the “Black-Ops” regiment as they look similar to normal BW operatives, but the one key feature that stands out is the ominous dark red visors they all wear. They are necessary for their types of operations and the tech behind them that gives it the red tinge. One thing that all members remember, while they are in this regiment they are to not to ask questions. Their main Motto: “Dirty ‘n evil work, who’s to do them? We are.”
- Kill-Squads: These Squads are sub-squads within the “Black-Ops” regiment and they may be spread out within other squads in BlackWatch. They may be broken up and formed into other squads if need be, or they form together for a contract. Usually they are a small squad consisting of 3-4 personnel, unlike the usual 4-6. They take on more dangerous/higher risk contracts, for example an assassination of a country's leader, assisting a rebellion, to committing genocide to an entire species or a group of people(although rare). They are given as much resources to BlackWatch standards, or they procure it themselves. Such as weapons, munitions, or light vehicles. Although they are not given any heavily armored vehicles such as tanks, armored personnel carriers, and Infantry Fighting Vehicles. As well as world destroying weapons unless given direct permission.
- Units within “Black-Ops”: the units within “Black-Ops” are classified to the public and to no rank below or at Master General. Their equipment is standard issue equipment like other BW operatives to blend with them, but one thing that stands out is their dark red visors. Giving them an ominous and frightening look to them. All units are told to always wear their helmets at all times, but if not then are told to wear black balaclavas with either glasses or goggles with the same red tinge. “Black-Ops” operators are told to advert any topics when they are questioned by other BlackWatch operators, and ignore any advances towards them. Only personnel that “Black-Ops” are able to fully communicate with are either their contractors or anyone beyond the rank of Lieutenant General or when they gained permission to talk to others.
1st Army; 2nd corp; 1st infantry division; 2nd brigade; 1st Foreign Exchange regiment code name: “Outworlders”: This regiment is the 1st Foreign exchange Regiment. They focus on traveling to other worlds in order to find relations and resources to supply the high demand of resources that BlackWatch needs to keep running. Although this regiment is not too combat based but rather scouting/reconnaissance and diplomatic talks. Their motto: “We may not fight with our fist, but our words do a helluva job!”
1st Army; 1st corps; 1st Infantry division code name: “Iron Soles”: This is the 1st Infantry division and corps that BlackWatch has, consisting of 5,000 personnel within the division. They are the main consisting force that is deployed during large scale operations for the first corps. “Forward and Onwards!”
1st Army; 1st corp; 1st Armored division code name: “Iron Fist”: This Division is the 1st Armored and Mechanized Division of BlackWatch, which comprises 3,500 armored vehicles and 15,000 Light Vehicles. From their Main Battle Tanks to Utility Vehicles. They are the 2nd most popular just after the 2nd corps “Outworlders”, since they provide most of the ground support that BlackWatch has. They may also “rent” out vehicles for the other two corps should they need more. “Ride Till Death.”
1st Army; 1st corp; 1st Aviation Division code name: “Iron Wings”: This division is the BlackWatchs’ Army Aviation force. They comprise roughly 4,000 aircraft, of which a third is jets while the rest are helicopters. They also “rent” out their vehicles to other corps. “Aviators in the sky.”
1st Army; 2nd corp; 2nd Infantry Division; 2nd Brigade; 2nd Reconnaissance regiment code name: “Evil Eyes”: this brigade focuses on where reconnaissance is first and foremost often paired with “Outworlders”. Equipped with state of the art reconnaissance equipment, they are able to perform their jobs effectively and swiftly. “See through our enemies, till Death”
BlackWatch Squad Rules of Engagement
BlackWatch’s ROE dictates that every contract is different from any usual scenario as they will not be facing any opponents that are similar to what they know. So ROE is dictated by the squad leader or contract they undertake.
The use of this type of ROE is highly criticized by the public and political officials as they think that this type of ROE does not make the BlackWatch Operatives at fault for what they do. In BlackWatch’s defense, they have said that the need for a more flexible and autonomous ROE is essential. So that the squads know how to evade or engage certain targets, rather than lose their own mercenaries to unforeseen events.
Although squads are given certain freedom of liberties regarding how to operate, there are some hard guidelines that all personnel are to follow: Always identify targets before engaging, squads should enforce a reasonable ROE before entering the field, Must never reveal real names; only use code names when operating, and have clear objectives for the contract.
Operational ROE
The ROE for operations is different from Normal Squad ROE(see above). ROE is dictated by chain-of-command within BlackWatch, like standard military procedures. Unlike normal militaries, BlackWatch commanders on field dictate first on what the action should be and how it should be executed. If an area needs an orbital strike the command on ground can call one in, within reason.
Opponent Records
This is a record of aggressive opposition that BlackWatch has faced.
“Raptures” from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE (Video Game):
Raptures are mechanical organisms that have a network that all are connected by. They all come in many different forms but all have a predictable type of attack function. Although there are times when a Rapture is incredibly difficult to put down so rather than take it head on, operators have shown to rather disengage and teleport back to home base making sure everybody was okay.
In the world of NIKKE, there are 5-different types of “Raptures”
- Tyrant class: The highest and most dangerous. All forces are to disengage and to leave the perimeter, and to leave a targeted beacon on the area for orbital strikes to engage the target until destroyed.
- Lord class: The second highest as well as being on par to Tyrants but at a lesser degree. Requires cunning and quick thinking when facing these opponents as they have enough firepower to wipe out a platoon in one hit. So retreat is highly advised when faced with these types of classes
- Master class: The third highest, although difficult to fight against, it is possible to destroy one with a single squad during simulations, but only if nobody is eliminated. In some instances, Master classes might work together but it is possible for them to fight each other, the reason for this behavior is unverified.
- Husk class: A “Fodder” type of Rapture, harder than Servant class but still easy to take down. Like Master class, they can be quite challenging by themselves but what separates them from Master classes is that they can group up together and can be exceedingly difficult.
- Servant class: Another type of “Fodder” type of Rapture. The lowest of classes, easily defeated by standard munition by BlackWatch. Although they may be paired with all the classes making them quite difficult if packed together.
Super mutants from the world of Fallout (video game series):
Big grotesque green humanoid creatures that came from an experiment to ‘enhance’ the human body from its natural state. Originally humans, they were used as an experiment for the Forced Evolutionary Virus(FEV).
They exhibit human-like behaviors, albeit primitively. Like humans, they are able to communicate with their original language. For example, if one was able to speak German before they are turned into a Super Mutant, then turned into one, they would still be able to speak German.
Their behavior towards any creature is usually met in hostility by them. But in some instances, they can have a more friendly behavior.
How BlackWatch operative are to engage Super Mutants is by:
- Identify if friendly or hostile
- If friendly, ignore engagement of targets and continue with primary mission
- If hostile go to step two
- If Hostile engage Operatives then they are to be eliminated or incapacitated
- Once eliminated, record video logs for future research
- Continue with primary mission
CO’s/Corrupted Objects from Counter;Side (Video Game):
These creatures exhibit highly aggressive behaviors to any living creature. Unlike conventional opponents these creatures come in many different types of forms from Cat 1’s to Cat 6. Each evolving in destructiveness. BlackWatch operatives are told not to stay in the Counter side for long as they could be affected by the corruption rays emitted from the general area.
What makes Counter Side important to BlackWatch is Eternium, it is a high-class mineral that is only produced exclusively in the Counter Side. The reason for collecting these minerals is that it can be turned into a metal, be used as a fuel source, and many more. Eternium also has more weight than gold making it more expensive in the world of Counter;Side rather than in BlackWatch. Eternium can be also harvested from COs as their body structure resides around the material. Depending on the CO category: Cat 1’s don’t have much Eternium unlike Cat 3’s or 4’s, so on and so forth.
The Counter side is the area where CO’s mainly stay in and where they populate in. Primarily category 1 are the most common to see in Counter side.
In the world of Counter;Side they have categorized COs going from 6 to 1 by difficulty.
Categories of COs:
- Category 6 COs: The most dangerous class of COs. Virtually unkillable by any normal means of combat. Extremely rare to encounter in the Counter Side. All operators are to escape if available, disengage from combat and retreat.
- Category 5 COs: An even rarer sight to encounter within the counter side. They live deep within the Counter Side hiding from plain sight, although unusually passive given where it is, but once agitated they can cause havoc within seconds. Operators are to not engage and evade if possible.
- Category 4 COs: A very rare sight to encounter if unlucky, only those who have dug deep enough into the depths of the counter side. They are extremely dangerous to fight against as they are strong enough to destroy cities within the matter of minutes without resistance. So caution is highly advised to those who happen to encounter one.
- Category 3 COs: A rare sight to encounter if gone deep enough within the counter side. Dangerous if left alone as it can easily destroy a city block by itself. Cat 3 COs usually have Cat 1 and 2 CO following behind. They can also be giant blobs of mass constructed by immense amounts of both Eturnium and CO mass together, they irradiate a large amount of Corruption rays enough that can irradiate someone in a well protected suit within 2 hours.
- Category 2 COs: a bit more uncommon to see on the counter side on the surface levels but more common to see if deeper within. They can also be eliminated by a single operator if skilled enough. Cat 2 COs come in packs of 4 or more but no less than 4.
- Category 1 COs: The most common CO to encounter in the counter side, especially on the surface levels of the counter side, can be eliminated by a single operator with relative ease. Cat 1 COs usually come in packs of six or more but no less than 3.
World Records
These are documented worlds that BlackWatch has encountered
Planet #125: Where operation StormTerror took place. Has many resources like Iron, Gold, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium that are abundant in the region where BlackWatch has taken over.
Planet #231: Where Counter;Side resides. Has a resource called Eternium, that has a purple-like crystalline structure that can be made into a metal as well as be used as a fuel source for certain applications.
Counter;Side has two different worlds that are known to BlackWatch: Normal side and Counter side.
Normal Side: Normal side is where all the inhabitants live and thrive, with the main system for ‘dives’ being the Administration. The Administration is the main governing body that controls what goes into the counter side and deals with COs if they get out of the counter side and into the normal side.
Also in that there are TASKFORCEs that act like mercenary groups that go into the Counter Side to extract Eternium. Most TASKFORCEs are officially licensed by the Administration to combat in ‘Anti-corruption warfare’.
The Administration is the primary political governing body in the Normal side aside from the actual government. They are primarily a Political-Military network within the normal side. They also have an academy for people who want to go into the counter side.
Counters are the primary people who go into the counter side alongside mechs and ordinary soldiers. Counters, unlike their other counterparts, are innately but not fully immune to Corruption Rays due to their ‘Watches’. Counters have superhuman abilities that include: increased strength, durability, agility, accelerated healing, firepower manipulation, weapon and body fortification, and energy projection. Another thing is that Counters have a uniqueness in their world. Which is that they have a Watch that is ‘gifted’ to them, they look like a normal watch but they hold the power that the counters can receive.
The watch holds what the world calls ‘Counter Reality Force’ or CRF in short, it is the main resisting force to counter highly corrupted areas in the Counter Side. Although there is a downside to the watch, if one were to continually use up their CRF they would count down their usage resulting in a consequential decision if one were stuck in the Counter Side. But another thing is that if one were to ‘feed’ it Eternium shards it would extend the use of CRF.
Counters are rated by the Administration Counter standards by their CRF output. They are rated by rank with A being the highest and D being the lowest.
Counter Side: The Counter side is the other side of the world where COs inhabit. With Corruption rays irritating that part of the world it is highly dangerous to stay in long periods of time as well as teeming with COs in every corner.
Initially BlackWatch forces were not immune to Corruption rays during their initial dives into the Counter Side until eventually, BlackWatch forces got mostly immune to Corruption rays. Operators are to wear a specialized under suit when conducting operation within the Counter Side, as operators do not have to deal with Corruption ray disrupting most of their operations. BlackWatch in itself has a rather low reputation in Counter;side, being shadowed by Coffin company and Delta Seven; two other, more renown, TASKFORCE companies with their world.
Although BlackWatch works in secrecy, they use their reputation to their benefit as they don’t have to deal with internal politics with the world and just focus on their primary mission of collecting Eternium for their benefit.
BlackWatch isn’t a officially licensed TASKFORCE company compared to their other counterparts, for this reason if they ever get caught being inside the Counter Side, Operators have the ability to teleport out of the area with their resources making sure that they never get caught while still collecting their primary resources.
Initial dives into the Counter Side were met with heavy resistance from COs although category ones initially. They were unfortunate enough to meet a category 3 CO which put up a difficult fight for the BlackWatch forces. Eventually they were able to put down the Cat. 3 CO with few casualties. After the fight they continued on their mission of collecting Eternium. To this day they hide in secrecy collecting Eternium.
Planet #232: where the world of NIKKE’s inhabit. On this planet, humanity was at war with alien machines, which humanity lost and is hiding from the machines. But in desperate attempts, humanity were able to produce human-like combat androids, called ‘NIKKE’. These NIKKE were originally human, then turned into androids. All NIKKEs that are produced all have female features and similar body structures. BlackWatch has questioned these actions but have continued their operations nonetheless.
BlackWatch’s primary role is to find usable resources to improve their own weapons rather than fight Raptures. If squads encounter Raptures, they are to follow standard procedures of ROE and engage if necessary.
Several squads successfully took contracts within this world and completed them with minimal injuries. Although, with the help of NIKKEs in the process.
Video footage shows that BlackWatch’s munitions are effective against most Raptures. 7.62x51mm M326 SLAP, 110x250mmR RCL M43A2/A2R/A3 HEAT munitions, and 14.5x114mmR M751 API were most effective against the Raptures, with M362 able to penetrate the thick metal plates of the Raptures, M43A2 being able to cut through as well, and M751 the same. Although only armor piercing rounds are the only ones that can effectively kill a rapture without hitting the ‘Core’, standard munitions like 7.62x51mm M321 FMJ, are able to kill Raptures if aimed at the ‘Core’. Multiple precise shots at the ‘Core’ of a Rapture is able to kill them quickly.
Planet #089: Where Operation Slayer took place. BlackWatch’s recruits were trained for an irregular combat environment.
Planet #062: Where Operation Testament took place. A hit was provided and was successful.
Planet Reach: Where once stood the UNSCs main manufacturing planet for space vessels, turned into a manufacturing base of BlackWatch’s arsenal in secrecy.
Planet ‘Home’: The main planet that BlackWatch forebodes in. Any and all operational decisions are made here as well as the main three corps stay at. Within this planet, all resources are still plentiful as BlackWatch has securely dominated the planet. BlackWatch has this planet in their palm making sure that nobody outside of BlackWatch knows about its whereabouts. This planet has little to none residential civilians but rather the entire planet is one big base with smaller outposts scattered around the planet.
Planet #021: Where Operation Golden Geese took place. Successful trade-route with a UNSC controlled planet, with Iron, Copper, Coal, and Oil. As well as setting up a recruitment center in a main city with the UNSCs approval.

Hawk/HAWK series
Both are essentially the same with the fuselage but that is the only similarity that they both have and the difference is if they are helicopter or an aircraft.
U/AH-554 Hawk Series
This series of Hawks is a Dual side-to-side propeller, single-seat helicopter. Made in 2562 and by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, They are the most versatile and rugged for short-range troop transport. This is a direct replacement to the UH-144 Falcon previously used by the UNSC. The Falcon had a lack of armaments as well as protection for the troop cabin. So the Hawk was made with protection and armaments in mind when made.
Although the U/AH-554 lacks the speed of the VU-554s and UA-554s, it compensates for higher mobility. It can carry at least 4-5 people in the cabin with one pilot. Its main defense weapons were reduced as it changed more with it having no front facing weapons and mostly relying on its gunpods. Its most recent model, the U/AH-554M was made in 2570 to replace the previous models.
With its versatility, there were many models produced with about 1500 units made, with quarter being U/AH-554Ms.

- U/AH-554M or UAH-554M
Entering production on the 1st of May of 2570, The ‘M’ in the name means Modernized which was the intent but some troops still think the name means that it's a lesser model of the N model. With it being modernized it is almost similar to the N13 model except in that, it has an openable hatch just like the U/A-554s and VU-554s while also replacing the side mounted 7.62mm rotary gun with a Twin barrel 20mm cannon. As well as removing the turret under the helicopter. The propellers on the Hawk can be moved forwards and backwards which increases its mobility, while decreasing its speed.
The sizes of the fuselage were fitted to the size of the cockpit after inspection and crew complaints, making more room in the troop cabin and increasing the inside of the fuselage by reducing the armor of the floor. Making it easier for crew to move more comfortably around inside the cabin.
- MH-554
The MH-554 is a variant of the U/AH-554M that is primarily used for a multi-mission role rather than a dual Utility/Attacking Helicopter. The pylons were reduced from the original 8 (4 on each wing) to 6 (3 on each wing). The mobility was a main focus as well as its max speed. Its internal gyroscope stability was slightly reduced to have sharper turns and rotations. Although in doing so, the helicopter is less stable and requires more training for pilots to master than the previous model. The MH-554 also changed out the cockpit from a single seat to a tandem seat with a weapons operator and a pilot. With the addition of the weapons operator, a turret has been placed under the cockpit for them to use.
U/A-554 and VU-554 HAWK Series
These are the fixed-wing jet variants of the Hawk but with the same code name hawk. Both produced by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer. To tell the difference between the UAH Hawk is the Acronyms, and the how hawk is spelled. If with all capitals then it is the jets, but if only the first letter is capitalized then it is the Helicopters.
For the VU-554 is that the VU is a VTOL (Vertical Take-off Or Landing) and Utility aircraft that was to replace the UAH-554s but failed to do so but still proved to be useful to some mercenaries within BlackWatch so a set amount was the ones produced which was 50 units.
The U/A-554 models were the attacking jet that could be used as a quick attacker and as a transport aircraft, but the primary purpose is to be a utility aircraft. But with this they also fell out of use by the BlackWatch and were used for minor tasks and only 200 were produced and 10 were left as a training aircraft while the rest were scrapped.

U/A-554 HAWK
U/A-554 HAWK is an all-weather, dual jet engine, single pilot Jet. Made in 2568, The design of the aircraft was for troop transport as well as a Strike Aircraft. Although this aircraft sees minimal use due to it having a low carrying capacity of troops. The design of the UA-554 is reminiscent of the UAH-554 Hawk, with the only parts being the fuselage. Despite the design, the HAWK proved to be useful to BlackWatch, for example during operations for the aircraft during 2579 the HAWK showed its might during a combined arms with friendly militia forces. But during Operation King-Slayer, although the HAWK showed its unreliability with electronic warfare, even though unexpectedly the operation made BlackWatch engineers add an additional Electronic Warfare counter.

A-30 Eagle
The A-30 Eagle is an all-weather, turboprop, attack aircraft. Made in 2581, by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer, made for quick attacks and is inexpensive to produce. Unlike its other brethren of jet-powered aircrafts, it does not have the availability to carry missiles for either ground or air. As well as any radar systems, nor countermeasures for missiles.
The A-30 Eagle, originally a trainer aircraft, was turned into an Attack Aircraft. BlackWatch saw its uses for this aircraft to be a ground assault attacker aircraft. So they heavily changed the main design for the aircraft. After extensive changes, the aircraft performed as expected for its role.
A tricky use of the A-30 is using the rockets. The hardpoints under the wings are fixed at a 3.25 degree angle upwards, making use of the rockets tricky, requiring skilled pilots to use correctly. To compensate for the angle, the pilot has a reticle for the rockets for an estimated rocket hit distance, primarily for the R-6SKs.
Armaments:
- Guns: 1x 20x150mm Cannon (in the nose); 2x 12.7x99mm HMG (in the wings)
- Hardpoints: 5 (2x on each wing; 1x under fuselage) with a capacity of 1,750 kg
- Rockets
- 2x 90mm R-6SK Rockets
- 2x 73mm 7-Gouta Pods
- 2x 41mm 19-Heckler Pods
- 2x 41mm 39-Bravo Pods

MBT Series
The Main Battle Tank Series of MBTs are the main armored vehicles of the armored Corps with only three main tanks that BlackWatch uses which is the MBT 5, MBT 6, and SMBT series of tanks while previous models are sold for export to other nations or countries.
These three tanks are made for specific task when deployed on duty with the “Buffalo” variant made for all three task but at an expensive cost, while the “Rhino” Variant is made for Defense and Fighting in mind, while the SMBT code named “Wedge” is mainly focus on defensive positions and made for hard positions. While just focusing on defending what’s in front.
MBT 5 “Buffalo” Series
Loosely based on German 21st century Leopard 2A6 series of tanks, it uses a more “modern” type of equipment and is made “cheaper” to reduce materials while still having a viable vehicle and armament to take down other vehicles with relative ease. The first model was introduced in the year of 2565 and followed progressive evolution through 2590.
Although, while being based on the Leopard 2A6 it still has a downside in that it’s based on a 21st century tank while being in the 26th century and it is quite still more expensive compared to its other counterparts with the newest model being 600,000c or $1,500,000. The main Armament for all the MBT 5’s are the M10A1 110x560mmR L/59 anti-tank cannon. Equipped with Digital Fire Controlled System, Laser Rangefinder, Hard-kill Active Protection System, Quick-Deploying Energy shielding, and advanced night vision and sighting optics.
Armament:
- 1x M10A1 110x560mmR L/59 Cannon (Ammo: 49)
- 12x smoke launches with six on each side on the turret
- 1x 12.7x99mm co-axle Heavy Machine gun (Ammo: 300)
Development of the MBT Program (MBT 1-5)
BlackWatch had M808B MBT in its very early stages of creation, BlackWatch was interested in producing its own vehicles due to the fact that the M808B wasn’t a viable option when BlackWatch was able to conduct farther otherworldly travel. So something was proposed: make a new tank from scratch.
The main design comes from the 21st century designs, due to the fact that most designs from there were very survivable and more maintainable than the M808B. The first MBT produced proved to be successful but the gun was to be changed.
The MBT 1 carried over the M512 90 millimeter cannon from the M808B. The M512 gave underwhelming results to BlackWatch, so a new cannon was to be procured. The tank cannon in question was the newly produced M9A1 105x545mmR cannon, which BlackWatch had already put on several of their own M808B to see if it was to be used and replace the M512. The M9A1 gave better results in that it replaced the M512 ammunition from a solid shot AP to a Sabot round and canister rounds to HEAT rounds, to which gave exceptional results.
As the MBT 1 was given the M9A1 Cannon, the armor on the other hand was needed for improvement. The front glacis of the hull was “too thin” for protection against standard conventional arms but just right against plasma weaponry. So in order to improve the protection of the tank, it was given 90cm of composite armor consisting of ceramics, rubber, and fiberglass. also 35 millimetres of Tochonium armor both outside and inside of the tank. As well as put at a 17 degree angle for more armor protection. In which previously it had 30 millimetres of titanium plates inside and outside, and 500 millimeters of composite material.
- Tochonium: a highly durable metal made by melting several metals together with a Mythril alloy to create a dense malleable yet strong metal. The density of the metal is 15.43g/cm^3, making it a heavy metal to work with.
In later stages of the development of the MBT 1, the hull was made to be longer to be able to have a greater chance to have rounds have non-penetration, in doing so the angle of the front glacis was from 17 to 10 degrees. And subsequently called MBT 2.
The improved MBT 2 changed some of the design aspects of the vehicle, by lowering the gun mantlet, the gun ability to look over hills decreased but it also made the ability to reload the gun faster than before by a 0.5 seconds which could mean life or death in a situation. As well as improving the suspension and engine. They also improved the turret traverse, from 15m/s to 21m/s. Although it still kept the M9A1 cannon as it still proved to be reliable.
The MBT 3 has subtle upgrades from the MBT 2 almost making it similar in a way, but the main change to the vehicle was the cannon change, from the M9A1 to the M9A2. Increasing muzzle velocity and range. The hull nor turret was changed as they kept the protection they needed.
The MBT 4 started to change some of the design slightly, several models were made by different designers within BlackWatch. How they ordered the designs was by adding a decimal to each model. From 4.1 to 4.9, with the base model being similar to the 3rd model but with the M9A3 cannon instead. The 4.1-4.6 models kept the M9A3 cannon as it proved to be an exceptional gun for what its purpose is for. But the 4.7-4.9 models changed it for the now M10A1 110x560mmR L59 cannon which is still in use for the MBT 5 models. The MBT 4.9 model won between the competitors by adding Smoke grenades, ERA, caged spaced armor covering the engine from the sides, an Active Protection System, better radios, a cupola, two different optics for the gunner; the main optic which is top right of the turret and the backup near the main cannon, and lastly a coaxial HMG.
The MBT 5 model improves on the MBT 4.9 by increasing the engine performance and suspension to accommodate the added weight on the tank, and the main color of the tank was changed from a dark forest green to an off black color. What was kept was the M10A1 110x560mm L/59 Anti-Tank cannon, improving penetration, muzzle velocity, better munitions, and round ballistics. After several modifications to the vehicle, it changed the main designation; MBT 5.82 or Buffalo. The main concern that some tank crews had was the removal of the ERA on the side skirts, which was reasonable, as to why was because with how much space there is from the side skirt to the main hull it would be enough to stop most if not all heat warheads, as well as the APS system that is with the vehicle is able to destroy any incoming tank rounds or ATGMs. But to accommodate some of the concerned crews a TUSK modification was available to any crews.
There are also types of variants to the MBT 5 series:
- The MBT 5.9 models are Ground to Air vehicles equipped with a radar system and either a dual 45x160mm auto-cannon with FIM-43 surface-to-air missiles, or four M21A2 20x150mm auto-cannons.
- The MBT 5.89 (BGM)/MBT 5.59 (BGM), both carry three 40cm BGM-12 ‘Bat’ kinetic ATGMs. Replacing the original turret as well as the cannon to accommodate the ATGMs.
MBT 6 “Rhino” Series
Based on Russian 21st century T-series MBTs. Made in 2570 and by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers. While mixed with multiple tanks which includes the T-72, T-80, and T-90. While a bit more shorter than the “Buffalo”, it’s main uses are for Defense and Offense but it does not excel at infantry support. Equipped with ‘Talon’ ERA Blocks, it has better survivability against HEAT munitions as well as some kinetic rounds. To which to say it’s a bit less pricey than the “Buffalo” to which it is 550,000c or $1,375,000.
Armament:
- 1x 1A38 152x560mm L/42 Cannon; Duel-Charge; auto-loader (Ammo: 46)
- 1x 7.62x51mm Co-axle light machine gun (Ammo: 1250)
- 1x 12.7x99mm Anti-air Heavy Machine Gun (Ammo: 100)
- 12x smoke launches (six on each side of the turret)
What makes the MBT 6 stand out is the heavy use of ERA on the tank, rather than its other counterparts. The ERA on MBT 6 is different from the one used on the TUSK package from the MBT 5.82 “Buffalo”. The ERA is called ‘Talon’, on the MBT 6 “Rhino”, rather than the “Shell” on the TUSK package. ‘Talon’ provides an adequate amount of protection from HEAT and Kinetic munitions, able to increase HEAT protection by an additional 900mm of chemical protection and 100mm of kinetic protection.
MBT 4 “Stag” Series
Based on the UNSC M808 MBT, although smaller in size it has the same gun as the MBT 5 the M10A1 110x560mmR Anti-Tank Cannon. The MBT 4 main doctrine is to support ground troops and give exceptional fire-support from a distance and up close. Due to how the MBT 4 functions and its systems it is one of the pricier tanks to produce with it being 850,000c or $2,125,000 USD.
Armament:
- 1x M10A1 110x560 L/59 Cannon; auto-loader (Ammo: 30)
- 6x smoke launchers with 3 on each side of the turret
SMBT 2.6-3
Based on the Swedish Strv 103, with its short height it is the smallest out of the three and has a crew of only 3. With it being the highest costing vehicle out of the MBT in BlackWatchs’ arsenal: with its moving suspension and two engines. Its maintenance is a challenge due to its complexity. Even with those downsides it is used behind the front lines and can be used defensively rather offensively.
Armament:
- 1x M10A1 110x560mmR L/59 Cannon; auto-loader (SMBT 2-2.6)
- 1x 1A38 152x560mmR L/42 Cannon; Duel-Charge; auto-loader (SMBT 3)
- 1x 7.62x51mm Rotary Gun turret (Ammo: 1500)
- 12x smoke launches (six on each side)
MBT 8 “Lynx” and MBT 8.1 “Jagermaister”
MBT 8 “Lynx”
Slightly based on the Israeli Merkava and the Argentinian TAM (Tanque Argentino Mediano), the MBT 8 “Lynx” provides the state of the art weapon systems and protection against a myriad of threats. This MBT is the successor to the “Buffalo” series of tanks, while still using M10A1 cannon, it still provides adequate firepower and support for infantry and armored units. Introduced during 2591, September 12th and put into production the following year of 2592.
After heavy consideration of making a new main battle tank for BlackWatch’s armored force due to constant pressure by high ranking officers within the organization, the MBT 8 design was the most popular and won the contract. With it winning it was put into prototype testing within the following months. Equipped with state of the art APS(Active Protection System) technology; The Iron Cage Hard-Kill APS, firing control systems, and the experimental plasma energy shielding. The MBT 8 surpasses its predecessor by a long shot.
The “Lynx” saw excellent performance in simulated combat scenarios against contemporary opponents, older but still significant opponents, the Russian T-90Ms and the American M1A2 SEP V3 Abrams. Able to penetrate their armor with significant accuracy and speed. With the armor of the vehicle being durable enough to withstand multiple rounds from both targets with the use of the Plasma Shielding.
Although unlike its original base concepts, the Israeli Merkava and The Argentinian TAM, the purpose of the “Lynx” is to provide a strong support-by-fire for reconnaissance troops or infantry and adequate Tank-v-Tank combat just like the MBT 5.
Testing with the Plasma Shield with the Lynx proved to be complicated but still useful. Testing showed that the shield could only be applied for a single day before the battery for the shielding system would burn out and be rendered inoperable. So BlackWatch engineers and technicians came up with a solution to the problem. By utilizing rare materials from the world of Counter:Side, Eternium, a purple crystalline material as a base for the energy system.
Armament:
- 1x M10A1 110x560mmR L/59 Cannon (Ammo: 48)
- 1x 7.62x51mm Coaxial Machine-Gun (Ammo: 500)
- 12x Smoke Launchers (six on each side of turret)
APC/IFV Series
The APC’s series goes to two Categories:
- Offense
- Support
Each role has an apparent distinction, but all have the exact chassis.
APC 1-2.1 series
The foremost APC has a white scheme base color, 4x4, a turret with an experimental 50mm Auto-cannon without a stabilizer, and a rear door to the compartment for 4 troops.
The 1.2 variant has a different color and that is the standard color for most of the BlackWatch vehicles, while also having a desert scheme as well. But also it still carries the same 50mm auto-loader as the previous model. And now has multiple openable doors on top of the troop compartment.
The 1.4 variant is the Precursor to the Supporter category to which the APC has elongated and now has an additional four wheels and can carry an additional 4 more infantry. As well as it has been equipped with a dual-axle Stabilizer 50mm Auto-cannon for its main weapon. But now it can change onto it the two main options as listed above.

Although with the APC 5, there are variants that remove the ability to carry troops and become a light artillery piece; using a 90mm mortar or an anti-aircraft vehicle using 2 M21A2 20x150mmR autocannons and 8 FIM-44 surface-to-air missiles.
APC 7 Series
This series of APCs is a 8x8 Armored Personnel Carrier, which is upgraded from the APC 6 series with a changed front and an increase to the armor and engine performance. The main suspension was changed for ease of maintenance, instead of being inside the vehicle which provided protection but was a challenge to maintain, so the suspension was to be open to the elements, which increases the chances to be damaged at the cost of easier maintenance. These models were given a Bow machine gun in the front of the vehicle in case the chain-gun became inoperable to use.
There are also models where the chain-gun is entirely removed while keeping the bow gun, to be made into a full transport vehicle.

T-series Tanks
The T-156 and T-157 are the first production paratrooping vehicles.
T-156 Reconnaissance Tank
The T-156 is the turretless self-propelled gun(SPG). It’s the smallest tank that BlackWatch has produced. Outfitted with a 75x445mmR L/32 Anti-tank cannon, able to fire APDS, HEAT-FS, APHE, and HE. Although it has a bare minimum of armor and ammo, its role as a scout/recon tank led to it being very favored by many recon squads.
Armament:
- 1x M14A1 75x445mmR Anti-tank Cannon (Ammo: 15)
T-157 Light Tank “Wolf”
The T-157 is the first production of a full-sized paratrooping tank that BlackWatch successfully made. It is a direct successor to the T-156 Reconnaissance Tank, although several sizes bigger in size. The main gun and mobility is one of its main advantages. Carrying the 105x545mmR L/56 cannon, which is the same as the AFV 10 “Hound”, as well as carrying the 20x150mm coaxial auto-cannon. Its role as a paratrooper tank is to support paratroopers, in cases when dealing with armored targets the cannon proved capable of destroying the target.
Armament:
- 1x M12A2 105x545mmR L/56 Cannon (Ammo: 35)
- 1x M21A2 20x150mmR Coaxial Auto-Cannon (Ammo: 200)

Additional Info on Firearms
7.62x51mm BW
7.62x51mm BW is the main cartridge used by most BlackWatch operatives. Various types are used: Full Metal Jacket(FMJ), FMJ-tracer, fragmentation-tracer(F-T), open tipped, armor piercing-incendiary, and an experimental Saboted Light Armor Penetrator(SLAP). They are all boat-tailed for better aerodynamics. With these many variants, they are designated as such: M321 FMJ, M321T FMJ-T, M322 F-T, M323 Open-Tipped, M324 AP-I, and M326 SLAP. One of the more common types that are used by most BlackWatch operatives is the M321 FMJ as it is a relatively inexpensive round compared to its other counterparts.
Although very similar, 7.62 BW is different from 7.62 NATO. In that, 7.62 BW has more power without leading to more powder, leading it to have increased muzzle velocity and energy.
With the powder load of 7.62 BW, it is less than the 7.62 NATO but in that the powder has a faster burn rate which leads to a faster combustion and higher energy output. BlackWatch researchers experimented to have their powder to have less fouling and carbon build-up which has been a success unlike the smokeless powder they had initially had been using.
It as well as the bullet being 1mm longer than 7.62 NATO making it have a slight difference compared to ballistic performance and terminal velocity. In terms of bullet cases, there are many to choose from, for BlackWatch Operatives which includes both brass and steel cases. Although with weapon and bullet case experimentation, there have been some breakthroughs with an aluminum-alloy with a brass coating, although expensive it showed that it is promising.
55x50mmR
The 55x50mmR is mostly commonly seen with the M23 APGL (Anti-Personnel Grenade launcher) and on the AH-556F IsH-55-430 twin turret.
Initially only made for the AH-556, the 55mm proved effective against soft and lightly armored targets when used. But overtime pilots of the AH-556’s would change out the 55mm for the 20mm instead as they had more ammo to spare rather than the 430 rounds that they were given.
With the 55mm’s lower velocity, pilots had to get in closer to engage targets and adjust for range even with the help of a ballistic computer. However with the 20mm, it had better velocity for range so pilots changed the 55mm to be safer to engage targets at range.
So the 55mm was then used for infantry use instead, with the M23 Anti-Personnel Grenade Launcher.
MA41 E-ICWS (Enchanced-Individual Combat Weapon System)
The MA41 E-ICWS is the main assault rifle for BlackWatch. Made by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, this rifle is an improved version of the UNSC MA37 and MA5. It reduces the size of the ammo counter to fit a railing system. It has rails on the top, sides, and on the handguard for added attachments. It uses the 7.62x51mm BW Bullet with the availability to change out to a 10x43mm bullet by changing out the barrel. There are also two variants of the MA41: the 2561 model which can use the 7.62 NATO, and the 2570 model which utilizes the 7.62 BW.
Made in 2561, a year after BlackWatch was established, the MA41 quickly became a preferred weapon among BlackWatch operatives due to its enhanced features and versatility.
It has a slight sleeker design compared to the MA37, as well as a more compact ammo counter allowing for easier maneuverability during combat.
The MA41's improved design also enhances its overall reliability and durability, as it incorporates advanced lightweight materials and technology to ensure a long service life and minimal maintenance requirements. This reliability is crucial for BlackWatch operatives, who often operate in demanding, high-risk environments that could be detrimental to their survival.
Additionally, the MA41's ammunition capacity is still the same, as well as the ammunition it uses the 7.62x51mm round. Although in the newer models, its primary cartridge is the 7.62x51mm BW round. Though it could use the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge, it can come with some minor difficulties, for example cycling issues which are common. Earlier models of the MA41 had an interchangeable magazine with the MA37, later models such as the 2570 model, that were made for 7.62x51mm BW couldn’t have the same interchangeable magazines.
The standard magazine capacity is 32 rounds, the same as its predecessor, the MA37. It also incorporates a magazine release button near the trigger for quicker reloads.
The MA41 is a versatile assault rifle that meets the standards and the demands of all BlackWatch operatives without exempting its downfalls. With its much improved features, modularity, and reliability, it makes it an excellent firearm of choice for any combat scenarios.
MA42(78) E-ICWS
The MA42(78) is a direct upgrade to the MA41(70). Drawn up by 2572, and made by 2578. This rifle showed promising results during testing with the changed handguard, as it was lighter and more modular than the MA41(70). Although there were no differences to change the performance of the rifles, as they were identical by function, barrel length, twist rate, and ballistic performance.
The MA42 although performed quite well, it had many downsides when changing calibre. When testing 6.5x51mm with the 6.5mm barrel, it had many malfunctions when testing: failure to feed, failure to discharge, and magazine instability. Another thing of note is barrel life, the 6.5x51mm has a barrel life of around 4,000 rounds with the same steel used as 7.62x51mm BW, but when coated it was able to have a staggering 7,000 rounds. On the other hand the 7.62x51mm BW has a barrel life of 35,000 rounds when not coated, but when coated it is able to have an additional 5,000 rounds. So to conclude the MA42 uses 7.62x51mm BW rather than 6.5x51mm.
Many BlackWatch higher-ups wanted to keep 7.62x51mm as it would ease to deal with logistics, rather than have two separate calibres, because either they have get new ammunition that is rarely used and cost of producing 6.5x51mm.
The MA41 models had one major issue, which was resolved with the MA42. The weight of the MA41. It was 4.2kg or 9.25lbs. Which was a major issue with the rifle and the one complaint that Mercenaries had, as it was front heavy and heavy in general. The MA42 on the other hand ‘fixed’ this issue, by reducing as much weight as possible. Especially, in the handguard, reducing the weight to 3.2kg or 7.2lbs.
As the handguard was changed to be smaller in size, it is capable of having M-LOK attachment lugs onto the sides, and picatinny rails on the top and bottom. Another thing added was a last-round bolt-catch to the charging handle. As well as having the charging handle to lock to the rear of the bolt unlike the previous models.
With only 250 made, these rifles are limitedly distributed across BlackWatch. Although they cost less to produce, the reasons are for unit distribution to see if BlackWatch Operators like the rifle or not.
The MA42 has a monolithic handguard so it can have space for various attachments, but the downside to having a monolithic handguard is that weapon maintenance is quite a challenge due to disassembling. But the benefits of having many attachments is appreciated by various operators.
6.5x51mm Conqueror
The 6.5x51mm Conqueror is an experimental round for only the MA42 E-ICWS. Unlike 7.62x51mm BW, it has benefits like increased muzzle velocity, lower overall weight, more ammunition capacity, and better penetration. While 6.5 Conq. has its benefits, it still lacks what BlackWatch’s primary need, the ability to have standardization for logistics.
M398 E-DMR (Enhanced - Designated Marksman Rifle)
The BW M398 E-DMR is the main Designated Marksman Rifle for BlackWatch. Made by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, this is an improved design of the UNSC M392 DMR. It increases the overall length as well as the barrel of the rifle for more of a marksman role as well as adding a rail system on the top, sides and handguard of the rifle.
Made in 2561, after the MA41 it also became popular with BlackWatch Operatives. Due to its high performance and accuracy. It quickly proved itself as a reliable weapon during missions.
The M398 was designed to fulfill the role of a designated marksman rifle, which bridges the gap between standard rifles and more accurate marksman rifles. Its features and modifications prioritize accuracy and precision, making it a more effective firearm for engagements at medium to long ranges.
Whether used for reconnaissance, suppressing enemy activity, or providing fire support, the M398 EDMR is a proven reliable and powerful firearm in the hands of BlackWatch operatives. Its popularity within the organization speaks to the effectiveness of the M398.
In terms of ammunition, it utilizes the 7.62x51mm BW(BlackWatch). It uses either a 20 round or 32 round box magazine. The 2570 model magazines can be used interchangeably with the MA41(70).
Additionally, most BlackWatch Operatives like to use the M326 SLAP or the M324 AP-I ammunition for this rifle. Although the M326 is expensive, this makes the rifle more capable for armor penetration with up to 21mm of penetration.
M40 Light Machine Gun
The M40 Light Machine Gun is the main Squad Automatic Weapon(SAW) for BlackWatch Operators. Made in 2579, by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer, this machine gun’s main purpose is to lay down suppressive fire and support allies when under fire.
BlackWatch had previously used the M739 SAW before the change to the M40 LMG. For reasons like maintenance and ease of use for their operators.
One of the main design changes was the magazine. Originally, the M739 used a 72-round drum magazine, although relatively easy to reload during combat, it was difficult to reuse and made storage of the magazines difficult for operators when carrying. So a new weapon was needed.
When the M40 was introduced, instead of using a drum magazine like the M739, it was instead to be belt-fed. The ease of use of using the belt was appreciated for automatic riflemen operators as the reloading process was more smoother and easier to load than previously.
Additionally, by making use of a belt system, the operator using the M40 can extend their belt from the original 65-rounds belt, to how much they desire. Making sure that operators can have a continuous ammo supply to lay down suppressive fire.
The M40 also utilizes the 7.62x51mm BW round, same as all the other rifles in BlackWatchs’ arsenal. This helps streamline the munitions, as well as having all operators have the same caliber of weapons. Making logistics a bit easier to deal with. Another thing of note is that the M40 has a collapsible stock for ease of transportation for both logistical and troops. Also the M40 has a rail system on the handguard’s sides and bottom as well as on the top.
The M40 is a mostly polymer weapon, unlike the M739, which has a full steel construction. Additionally, since the M40 is mostly polymer, it is relatively lightweight for this type of weapon system compared to the former.
M40B Lightweight Machine Gun
The M40B LMG is a lightweight version of the already existing M40 LMG. Chambered in 5.8x46mm BW rather than 7.62, its users can carry more ammo at a lower weight of the ammunition.
The size of the weapon was also considerably reduced as well too, for a more lightweight idea. From 130 cm to a meter the size of the weapon was considered enough for the weapon.
M6L/K Personalized Handgun
The M6L/K handguns are BlackWatchs’ main universal sidearms. Made by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, these pistols are a variant upon the M6G. Although almost similar in size the M6L and M6G are vastly different, the M6L features a more sleeker look and gets rid of the HUD (Heads up display) optic sight, and replaces it with iron sights with a optic mount on the slide, same goes with the M6N.
The M6L was made in 2563, two years later than the MA41 and M398 EDMR, and the M6N was made later in 2573. Before the M6L was produced by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, most if not all BlackWatch operatives used the M6G 2546 model or later models. Most of the BlackWatch operatives complained about the ammunition being too big and not having enough ammunition to carry with them, so the M6L was put into production with several weapon trials. What the M6L does compared to the M6G is the ammunition was changed from the 12.7x40mm to a 11.43x40mm (45-40 in calibres), although the smaller ammunition size it was still plenty as more lighter, able to carry a bit more ammunition, and recoil was reduced making it more accessible to more operative who couldn’t wield the M6G.
The M6N is a variant of the M6L that was made in 2573. This model makes it more compact and with more ammunition to carry along. The M6N utilizes the 10x30mm round, significantly smaller than both the M6L and G models. Although smaller bullets, the advantages to this is that the recoil of this handgun is significantly reduced, having more rounds in the magazine, and it is smaller in size. The M6N makes this an optimal weapon for any body type within BlackWatch.
M6L1 Personal Handgun
The M6L1 Personal Handgun was made in 2580 and introduced to all BlackWatch operations in 2581. The M6L1 utilizes the 10x30mm round like the M6K but has the base frame of the M6L.
M7A PDW
The M7A PDW uses the M6L as its base grip while turning it into a bullpup PDW. Made by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer, it utilizes the 11.43x40mm (45-40 in calibres) making it have a lot of force behind each shot. With a twist rate of 1:9, it is a decently slow round coming out of the barrel. But with that slow round, lots of kinetic energy is behind it.
Made for personal defense and CQC, its ammo capacity is reflected with many types of magazines: From 10-rounds, 15-rounds, to 20 rounds. Each for personal preference or mission needs.
It comes with a factory bird-cage flash-hider muzzle device that is removable. With the barrel length of 18-inches, and a vertical grip.
M7B PDW
The M7B PDW is an upgraded version of the M7A PDW, reducing overall weight by 1 pound and changing its caliber. The weapon has been changed to fit the 10x30mm cartridge rather than the 11.43x40mm. By changing cartridges, the weapon has less felt recoil when firing as well as increased ammo capacity from the standard 20 to 45.
The main pistol grip has been changed to the M6N grip style, having a more vertical angle as well as being more comfortable to hold. The reason for change was due to user complaints about hand comfort. The change of ammunition was to make the M7B users stay in combat longer due to the increase of magazine size. There has also been an availability to customize the weapon by using a rail system.
The M6B now has a more customizable system due to the railing system, unlike its predecessor. Its main use is for personal self defense and CQC.
M7C Carbine
The M7C Carbine is a bullpup operated carbine to which it is an upgrade to the M7B PDW. The main change of the M7C Carbine is the changing of caliber from the 10x30mm to the 5.8x46mm. Another change to the M7C is the buttstock. In the previous models, like the M7A and M7B, they had no comfortable buttstocks unlike these newer models. Also another change is a cheek rest for the operator.
RQ-1 SABS (Semi-Automatic Bullpup Shotgun)
The RQ-1 SABS Shotgun is the main purpose shotgun that BlackWatch uses. Made in 2578 by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer, this shotgun represents a new style of shotguns from their previous use.
Initially, BlackWatch had used the UNSC’s older M45 and M90 shotguns. Both saw heavy uses, as well as being reliable enough. Though over time things changed and the pump-action of the shotguns were being considered ‘obsolete’ by BlackWatch, so a new weapon was considered.
The RQ-1 was made and with it, it brought something new to the table. A semi-automatic bullpup shotgun, the availability to be speed-loaded with a speed loader, having a bolt catch release button, and rail mounts. Although short compared to the MA41 assault rifle, it is slightly longer than the M7A and B by a couple centimeters.
Instead of using the 8 gauge, which both the M45 and M90 shotguns use, the RQ-1 uses the 17.6x63mm/14 gauge shell. Which makes it slightly smaller but more plentiful to carry than the 8 gauge.
The RQ-1 has a textured grip for better manipulation for the user as well as a bump handguard for the off-hand of the user to hold onto, for better recoil control. Another thing is that it also has a cheek riser for the user on the stock. The RQ-1 has a rail system in the front, sides, and top for additional attachments like optics, laser, etc.
Made mostly of an impact-resistant, lightweight, polymer. The RQ-1 is both made to be durable and light for the user without wearing them down too quickly.
The effectiveness of the 17.6x63mm 0-Buckshot aluminum alloy balls are exceptional. Tests on ballistic gel and ballistic dummies showed that there is enough power to not rip off a limb or cause major damage to the dummy with aluminum alloy balls at 35 meters. It also showed that the aluminum alloy balls 0-Buckshot was able to go at least 4-5 inches deep into the gel before being fragmented.
Initially, 0-Buckshot primarily used lead balls, which were both powerful and deadly, but were changed to aluminum alloy balls due to increased chance of incapacitating and unnecessary bodily harm. Operators still can use the ones with Lead Balls as they are still available to use.
During a simulation to test the efficiency of the RQ-1. Alpha 1-4, an operator who specialized in close quarter weapons, was given the RQ-1 Shotgun. He was able to customize it with a holographic optic and muzzle suppressor. He was given 0-Buckshot with eight 23g lead balls ammunition to test the lead balls of 0-Buckshot.
He was tasked to breach a door with the RQ-1 shotgun and eliminate an enemy.
Once in position, he broke off the hinges with the 0-Buckshot then promptly kicked the door open. He immediately was met with a hostile, surprised by the sudden entrance of Alpha 1-4.
Before the enemy was able to raise his weapon against him, Alpha 1-4 aimed in quick succession, shooting two times into the enemy, killing them.
The first shot was placed near the shoulder ligament, causing severe muscle damage and ripping off the arm from the shoulder violently. The second shot was placed near the center-mass, causing enough damage to blow a 5-inch hole through his chest, leaving a 13-inch exit wound which instantly killed them.
This is what Alpha 1-4 had to say about the weapon after the simulation.
Researcher: “What do you like about the RQ-1?”
Alpha 1-4: “I like it better than the M45 I had used. It’s smaller, lighter, and much smoother shooting. Though, it’s a bit stiff on the speed loaders, but the easy follow up shots are nice. Especially within close quarters.”
Researcher: “Mind telling me what’s wrong about the speed loader?”
Alpha 1-4: “That? Well, not sure if it's me, but if you don’t place it in correctly or it’s minorly damaged, it won’t fit properly into the slot or the speed loader will get a round stuck inside of it.”
Researcher: “I see. Anyways thank you for your time and service here.”
Alpha 1-4: “Always a pleasure to help you guys,”
11 cm M43 SPIKR Recoilless Rifle System
The 11 cm M43 SPIKR Recoilless Rifle System, is the main Anti-Personnel/Anti-Vehicle launcher. Using the 110x250mmR RCL round, it has differentiating velocities dependent on the round.
The M43 was a replacement to the UNSC’s M41 SPNKR dual-shot RPG. With a round diameter of 110 millimeters or 11 centimeters making the M43 is slightly bigger than the M41, with that being 102 millimeters in diameter.
M23 55mm APGL(Anti-Personnel Grenade Launcher)
The M23 55mm APGL is a portable anti-personnel grenade launcher made for infantry uses. Made by BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturer during 2578, this grenade launcher proved to be a success by the intensive use by all infantry light grenadiers.
The introduction of the M23 55mm APGL was due to ineffective use made by its predecessor, M22A1 55mm Automatic-Cannon. With stockpiles of 55x50mmR rounds in storage, a weapon was also needed for units on the ground. So the M23 55mm Anti-Personnel Grenade Launcher was developed.
Sniper Rifle System(SRS)-99F Anti Material
The SRS-99F AM is the main anti-material marksmen rifle as well as the main sniper rifle of BlackWatch. With it, it uses the 14.5x114mm cartridges.
The SRS-99F AM is, by technicality, a longer barreled SRS-99 AM.
Sniper Rifle System(SRS)-100 Anti Material
A new and improved weapon system that changes out the format of the old rifle for a new appearance while slightly lightening the weapon’s overall weight by 5.5kgs. With it also having an integrated carry handle above the chamber, to balance the overall weight.

The Exo-suit is given to any BlackWatch operator as long as they have gone through the required training program, as well that they have a lifetime warranty. Although any of the additional equipment are bought, it has a 4-Year warranty. Any maintenance to the Exo-Equipment and suit is to be maintained by the personnel who owns it. Should they break any of the additional equipment after the warranty or incorrectly use it, they should take it to a BlackWatch owned repair shop where they will need to pay for it.
MKET-90(Modular Kinetic Equipment and Technology) Exo-suit:
This Exo-suit is widely used by BlackWatch operators as it gives an additional strength for their users. How it fits onto a person is by both neural and physical, for the physical, the exo-suit has a pack that is equipped on the hip of the user while the main components are a skeleton like structure that is close to the body reducing its signature.
While the Neural part is by the helmet for BlackWatch operators, the helmet must be connected to the exosuit by a wireless connection as well as wired connection. The helmet provides all the functional heads up displays once connected to the Exosuit.
PKET(Personal Kinetic Equipment Technology) series:
PKET-6 Plasma-Capaciter Shielding System:
This piece of equipment is a shielding system similarly seen on the UNSC Mjolnir
PKET-5 Exo-equipment Sound Dampener:
This exo-equipment is a useful piece of equipment for covert contracts and operations. Although how it exactly works is classified, how it works in the field is by reducing the sounds of the user from outside forces. Whether running or walking, the sound is reduced significantly except for unsuppressed gunshots from the user as it is able to overwhelm the PKET-5.
PKET-4 Exo-equipment Mana-pack/capacitor:
Although not many use it, magic is not a primary concern for BlackWatch. However, it is useful to those who can use magic within the PMC. By connecting to the helmet and exosuit, it is able to provide more ‘magic’ power to the user substantially depending on the user. As well as ‘Gauging’ how much the user has.
PKET-3 Exo-equipment Metamaterial Cloak:
The PKET-3 Exo-Equipment Metamaterial Cloak employs to bend and distort light around the user, rendering them effectively invisible to the naked eye and many forms of detection technology. The cloak can adapt to different lighting conditions and backgrounds, allowing the user to seamlessly blend into their environment.
PKET-2 Exo-Equipment Stim/Performance enhancers:
The PKET-2 Stim is a type of performance enhancer for the user. Once equipped it is placed above the exopack on the lower spine of the user, when injected it can heighten the users senses like hearing, agility, strength, and situational awareness making it a versatile tool when used correctly.
Although there have been some cases of heavy reliance on these Stim shots where users would use these incorrectly and have been addicted to the stims. So by taking action, BlackWatch ordered the stim production to be reduced from 100/day to 50/day to reduce the potential chance of getting addicted.
Operatives who use the PKET-2 regularly are to be monitored by health advisors and medical teams to make sure there are no signs of withdrawal or overdose, as the symptoms of withdrawal are immediate and long lasting. Up to 17 hours of the symptoms include: increased heart-rate, dilation of eyes, shortness of breath, fogginess of mind, dry throat, and death (although in extreme cases).
PKET-1 Exo-Equipment Jump Jets:
The PKET-1 Jump Jets are the first and forefront of BlackWatch as it is one of the first massively produced models of exo-equipment. It is equipped right below the exopack, in front of the glutes of the user. The PKET-1 adds an additional mobility to make the user “double-jump” or “triple-jump” if timed correctly. The main uses are for vertical movement, getting out of danger, and getting to hard to reach places where a normal person cannot get to. It is also connected to both neural and physical connections of the MKET-90 Exo-suit, to make sure it is fully connected to the user.
Throwable Equipment:
- M89A Fragmentation grenade: 5c ($12.50)
- M89B Concussive grenade: 5.50c ($13.75)
- M44 Stun Grenade: 10.50c ($26.25)
- M45 9-Banger Grenade: 20.50c ($51.25)
- M50 Anti-magic smoke grenade: 25.15c ($62.88)
- M51 Smoke grenade: 7.50c ($18.75)
M89A Fragmentation Grenade:
This is a standard, run of the mill, fragmentation grenade meant to take out a group of enemies. With 252 grams of explosive filler it is a lethal tool in the right hands. The grenade’s base material is made of 15mm of steel, in a spherical shape.
M89B Concussive Grenade:
This is a more powerful grenade meant to wound or kill with a large shockwave or concussive blast rather than fragmentation. With 412 grams of explosive filler, with a high-impact polymer plastic in a cylindrical shape. The grenade’s concussive blast is stronger than the M89A.
M44 Stun/Flash Grenade:
This is a cylindrical stun grenade meant to stun or “incapacitate” any foes with a large flash and loud bang in a large area.
M45 9-Banger Stun Grenade:
Just like the M44, this is a cylindrical stun grenade but with 9 charges to ensure targets become combat-ineffective.
M50 Anti-Magic Smoke Grenade:
A cylindrical smoke grenade for disabling magic users. The smoke is a light purple in color and can ‘disable’ any use of magic by utilizing a certain neurotoxin that is in every person that uses magic. As well as paralyzing targets if they don’t have certain protection against the smoke.
M51 Smoke Grenade:
A standard, run of the mill cylindrical smoke grenade. Comes in many smoke colors for different functions.
- M51: a thick gray smoke is produced providing concealment
- M51B: a red smoke to indicate for an artillery barrage
- M51B-A: A special laser designator with a red laser for an orbital barrage
- M51C: a purple smoke to indicate a MEDEVAC.
- M51D: a green smoke to indicate for an aerial airstrike for a guided munition.
- M51D-A: A blue-green smoke to indicate an aerial airstrike with unguided munitions.
- M51E: a yellow smoke to indicate evacuation.
Stationary Equipment:
- AC-45 Audio Canceling Device 100c ($250.00)
AC-45 Audio Canceling Device
The AC-45 is a compact device for covert infiltration. How it works is undisclosed as it is highly advanced technology. Just like the PKET-5 Sound Dampener for Exo-suits, it “mutes” a 10 meter radius, making it effective for small room clearing. As such it is a favorite with BlackWatch Operators who like to do covert ops.
Nuclear Weaponry:
- Mk.1 35 kg N.C.D (Nuclear Cube Device) Implosion Fission Plutonium core: 100,000c ($250,000)
- Mk.2 50 kg N.C.D Implosion Uranium Core: 145,000c ($362,500)
- Mk.37 3.5 Megaton Implosion Type Plutonium Core Bomb “Pride”: 1,750,000c ($4,375,00)
- Mk.38 5 Megaton Implosion Type Uranium Core Bomb "Big Boy": 2,000,000c ($5,000,000)
- Mk.39 10 Megaton Gun-type fission Plutonium Core Bomb "Small Boy": 3,500,000c ($8,750,000)
- Mk.40 25 Megaton Implosion type Plutonium Core Bomb “End’s Gate”: 6,000,000c ($15,000,000)
One thing that BlackWatch keeps secret is their nuclear arsenal. Reason being is that they don’t have to deal with both international laws and public views on them having nuclear weapons. BlackWatch Weapons Manufacturers, the subsidiary to BlackWatch, is the main manufacturer of their nuclear weapons. They keep all production classified, only leaving the necessary info to the BlackWatch executives. Where they produce them is in space as the zero-gravity helps with the larger nuclear weapons. Although with the NCD, the production is hidden deep within the confines of one of many BlackWatch’s bases.
Mk.1 NCD:
This small and portable nuclear device is meant for if for any reason, that any operation goes south then the first would be to try to regain a foot-hold, but if unsuccessful then all operators and equipment are to be evacuated from the operation. Once all BlackWatch forces are evacuated, “Black-Ops” forces are to be called in and place one to two Mk.1 NCDs in the vicinity and exit the area with the NCDs timed to 1 minute to explode, obliterating anything within the combat zone. Or the enemy base if located.
Mk.2 NCD:
This is an upgraded variant of the NCD with 50kg explosives rather than 35kg, making it more dangerous and more potent. When this is used is when the previous steps are unsuccessful and the Mk.1’s do not become successful. Mk2’s are to be placed in strategic locations that would compromise enemy forces to withdraw.
Mk. 37-40
These models Mk.37, Mk.38, Mk.39, and Mk.40 are to be used when the Mk.2 NCDs fail to compromise enemy forces. Depending on the threat, Mk.37 is first used if the threat level is “Low”, then increases by threat level: Low, Mid-Low, Medium, and High. Respective to the threat level, the Mk.38, 39, and 40 are to represent the threat level.
These bombs are to be transported by B-56 bears with F-68E20 as escorts. Depending on the threats, F-68’s are not to be used. B-56 Bears are to fly to an altitude of 50500 meters to reduce the chance of getting hit by the shockwave of the bomb and to exit safely from the area.
