Kissed On The Lips

Summary:

“We get coffee every morning, Dynamight.” Shinso supplied tiredly. “I talk about spending the night with him all the time.”
“Yeah but I spend every night with Ei, didn’t think much of it.”
“I use his first name.”
“I use Ei’s first name.” Baku crossed his arms over his chest.
“The other day I listed off all the thoughtful things Denki does for me and said I loved him so much.”
“Awe, baby that’s so -“
“Shut up, pikachu. I tell Eijirou I love him every day.” He countered petulantly.

Work Text:

Obnoxious chirping rang from Kirishima’s phone, signaling that it was time to wake up. He reached out to turn it off quickly, excited that morning had officially arrived. As he stretched his body, his yawn broke into a smile and he sighed wistfully. Another great day was awaiting him. He hopped out of bed, threw on some sweatpants, and waltzed into the kitchen with a grin.

“Breakfast smells amazing, Baku!” He walked up behind his roommate and stared at the food he was undoubtedly making for the both of them.
“Yeah yeah, grab some dishes and make yourself useful.” Baku grunted as he turned the stove off. It was unbelievable how Kiri managed to get himself out of bed the second breakfast was done every morning. He swore Kiri had secret powers that happened to know when sizzling meat was nearby.

The two of them sat at the dining table across from each other and dug in. “What the fuck are you so smiley about this morning?”
Kirishima beamed at him. “What’s not to smile about? I got a great job, cool apartment, I live with my best friend. Life is good, man!”

Bakugou huffed a laugh and sat back in his chair. “Fine. Yeah life is good, you sappy fuck.” He admitted.
“No complaints?”
“Nah, no complaints Ei.”
They sat in amicable silence, not needing to fill the space with words. Ei loved Katsuki so much, and he knew the grumpy guy loved him too. It filled him with inexplicable joy that the most infamous grouch in Japan had a soft spot just for him. Those were major bragging rights if Ei could say so himself.

After they finished eating, Ei stood and grabbed their dishes, washing them in the sink while Baku sat on the counter staring at his phone making idle chit chat with him. While they talked, Katsuki’s entire body seemed to naturally gravitate closer to Kiri -as it typically did- and by the time he finished the chore, Katsuki body was leaning against him peacefully. Once the sink turned off, Baku pulled Ei’s hand without looking up, and dragged him to the living room. Ei followed him, per usual.

Spending time alone together on their days off to escape the real world had become an unspoken routine. Sure they got out and saw their other friends and family, but all of that came second to this. These simple days like lazing around on the couch, feet propped up in laps, fingers twirling in hair to braid, sharing a blanket for warmth as they watched a movie. It never failed to recharge them from all the heavy stuff they dealt with at their jobs.

Kiri typically preferred when it was cold out. Baku would make them hot cocoa and light a fire in the fireplace. Sometimes they’d watched a movie, or if Katsuki was reading a good book, he’d read it out loud for Ei to listen to. Many nights he’d fallen asleep, head in Katsuki’s lap, soothed by the fingers massaging his scalp and the quiet timbre of Katsuki’s voice.

Katsuki, on the other hand, liked when it was hot. He’d drag Ei out on morning runs as the sun came up, and on camping trips where they could see endless stars lighting up the night sky. He never grew tired of Kirishima’s goofy smiles and gasps while Katsuki would point out the constellations from memory.

So yeah. Life was good. No complaints.

That was until they had the Baku-squad over for dinner that evening. The place was crowded and busy. Baku and Kiri weaved around each other in perfect sync though, pouring drinks, pulling food out of the oven, and making small talk.

The group was buzzing with excitement from being together at their monthly dinner, but as Eijirou pulled the roast out of the oven, he nearly dropped the whole thing on the floor when he saw Shinso pull Kaminari into his lap and kiss him right on the mouth.

Thankfully Baku was used to Kiri being accident prone and saved the meal. He turned to shout at Kiri for trying to ruin his meticulously cooked supper, but was interrupted by Kiri himself.

“Kissed!” He exclaimed. “Kissed on the lips, Baku!” He pointed with a scandalized look at the guilty promiscuous pair on the couch, his free hand clutched at his chest.

“Kiri honey, that’s what most people do when they’re in love. It’s ok.” Mina soothed the stammering hero from across the room.

“IN LOVE?!” Kiri and Baku shouted together.
“You guys… seriously didn’t know?” Kami asked. A delightful grin appeared on his face, thrilled he had two unsuspecting victims he could endlessly yammer to about his boyfriend.

That’s when the whole squad quieted down and stared at the astounding naïveté displayed before them. Except for Eijirou, who had been wiping down the counter from the mess he made with the roast. He did stop and look up when the room got quiet though.

“What did I miss?” He said stupidly.

Sero cleared his throat, not always wanting to get in the middle of their shenanigans, but it was time to end the chaos here. “Bakugou, are you trying to tell us that you and Kiri are actually not dating?”
“Hah?! What makes you say that?!”
Sero raised an eyebrow and sighed sadly. “Damn I guess I just assumed you both wanted to keep things under wraps. You two act so in love all the time.”

Kirishima choked, fumbling with the dishes while trying to set the table. “Listen, Katsuki and I are best bros, everyone knows that. Denki and Shin, we’re very happy for you guys! Sorry we didn’t realize you two were together.”

Shinso began to mutter under his breath about how Ei sure used the term “we” for him and Baku a lot for not actually being a couple - which earned a glare from Katsuki.

“That’s ok, Kiri bro!” Denki hopped up and came to the table, seeing that the discussion was making his pal uncomfortable and changed the subject. “Dinner looks amazing!” The other members of the crew took his lead and began to gather around the table.

The rest of the evening went by smoothly, albeit a little more quiet than usual on Katsuki and Eijirou’s end. Later on, when the group slowly made their way out the front door, Kaminari slapped Ei’s shoulder looking at him in an odd way. “Let’s get breakfast soon, buddy.”
“Uh, sure, I’ll call you later this week.”

Shinso grabbed Denki’s hand and they left with a wave, leaving the roommates alone with their thoughts. A few minutes of silence went by before Kiri spoke up.

“We’re not-“
“No.”
“-in love.”
“Look, Ei. Just because those extras think so, does not mean that we’re in love. They don’t get to tell us how we feel.”
Kirishima nodded thoughtfully and curled up on the couch with his best friend. Katsuki was the smartest guy he knew! So if anyone were to know if they were in love, surely he’d be the one to figure it out first.

“Want to have a sleep over tonight? It’s been days since we stayed up all night hanging out.”
“Sure Ei, lemme finish my book first.” Katsuki replied as his hands moved to run through long red hair. Kirishima sighed happily at the gesture and laid on Katsuki’s chest mulling things over in his head. He’d always considered himself straight, never once having felt something romantic for a man. And as for Katsuki, he’d never spoken of a crush on anyone at all. He forced the thoughts out of his head when he heard Katsuki’s book snap shut. He looked up at Baku and smiled. “Mario Kart battles?” Katsuki laughed as he looked down at hopeful wide eyes. “Sure.”

After a late night of friendly competition, Ei woke up the next day, warm and cozy in his bed with Katsuki curled up in his arms. He took extra time that morning to over Katsuki’s calm sleeping expression, and the way his body melted into Ei’s. The conversation from last night popped into his head, and he couldn’t help but wonder what it was like for Denki and Shinso to do this all the time.

The biggest difference he could find was that they probably woke up and kissed or made love. Kiri’s cheeks turned pink at the thought. Then he looked down at Katsuki’s lips. They were plump and pouty and probably really nice lips to kiss. Then he thought about Katsuki using those lips to kiss someone else, and suddenly rage burned through his body. “That was weird.” He murmured to himself.
“Mmm what’s weird, Ei?” Katsuki’s sleepy voice spooked Ei from his misguided thoughts.

“Nothing! Nothing just, uh, was thinking about last night.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Why do you let them get to you, huh? Come on, I’ll make breakfast, go get changed.”

Breakfast was silent, but not the usual comfortable one they were used to having. The clinking of glasses, and chewing and squirming in chairs filled the room with anxiety. Eijirou couldn’t help himself, not after those images of Katsuki kissing someone and cuddling with someone else had intruded his mind.

Enough was enough for Katsuki, and he slammed his fist on the table. “What is with you?! You’re pissing me off.”
“What if they’re right? What if we are in love and we’re just missing out on it?” He stared at Katsuki with a pleading look, desperate to find out if their perfect friendship could somehow be made even more perfect.

Katsuki folded his arms across his chest and glared, those giant puppy dog eyes were breaking him down. “You think you’re in love with me?”
“I don’t know?”
“Look I’ll fucking prove it to you then. You think you’re so goddamn wise?” Katsuki stood up from his chair and rounded the table. Eijirou scooted his chair back in fright. “Uh, are you going to punch me? Cause that’s not really manly-“
“No. ‘M gonna kiss you, dumbass.”
“WHAT?!”
“If you have all these so-called feelings for me, it won’t mean a thing eh? Then we can move on with our day. I don’t have the patience for your crisis this morning.”

Eijirou squeaked as Katsuki leaned over, grabbed his face, and kissed him. Their lips met and Ei thought he might actually be in heaven. His mind halted and all he could focus on was how Katsuki’s pouty lips were indeed very nice for kissing. Somehow his hands found themselves squeezing Katsuki’s hips and pulling his body minutely closer to his own.

The kiss itself, was over much too soon though. He looked up at Katsuki and expected to see him roll his eyes and shout about how he was right, but that wasn’t the case at all. Katsuki was breathing heavily, his eyes were lidded and his mouth parted as he tried to gain his breath.

“Well I’ll be damned.” Was all he said before he straddled Ei’s hips and slammed his lips against his once more. This time Ei was ready though, his hands ran along Katsuki’s back as he sucked on his bottom lip, smiling as a shudder racked through Katsuki’s body. When they pulled back, Katsuki rested his forehead on Ei’s collar. “So I may have miscalculated my feelings for you.”
“Miscalculated?” Ei huffed a laugh.
“Just this once. I’m right about everything else though.”
“Of course you are.” Ei smiled and kissed the top of his head.

The rest of the day was spent kissing all over the apartment, and giggling at how obtuse they’d been after all these years. It wasn’t difficult to say I love you though, they’d been doing that for the longest time already. Now it was just punctuated with a kiss.

As the week went on, most things stayed pretty much the same. They still snuggled on the couch, slept in each other’s beds, made food for each other and hung out around their friends. It wasn’t until Ei was playing video games later that week that Katsuki came into the room and leaned against the door frame. Ei slightly turned toward Katsuki to show he was listening to whatever Katsuki was about to say.

“Don’t people in love fuck?”

Kirishima dropped the controller on the floor, and watched silently as his character died on screen, but he couldn’t seem to care.

“Wh-what was that?”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Don’t. People. In. Love. Fuck?” He asked condescendingly, knowing he was very much heard the first time he said it.
Eijirou stammered, his soul left his body momentarily and then came right back to nod profusely. “Yeah! Yes, people in love have sex. They have - they have all kinds of sex, I’m sure!”
Katsuki smirked. “Good. Cause I’m ready.” He said before walking into Ei’s bedroom.
“Wait up!” EI hollered as he nearly tripped and fell before picking up speed and sprinting to his bedroom.

Inside, the room was lit with dozens of candles, the sheets looked new and expensive, and Katsuki himself looked- “Wow” Eijirou breathed out. “Katsuki you’re beautiful.”

He really was beautiful, all laid out on the bed, clothes stripped save for his black boxer briefs and a couple of rings Ei had gotten him for his birthday years ago.

Kiri gulped and shucked his shirt off, walking slowly towards the bed. He took off his socks and pants before climbing onto the mattress and crawled over his boyfriend. He bent down and kissed Katsuki softly, gasping when Katsuki deepened the kiss and wrapped his arms around his torso.

Slowly but surely, moans filled the air. Eijirou rolled his hips over Katsuki’s, delighting in the way his lover would grip him harder and nuzzle his neck every time. Then his hands wandered lower, sliding Katsuki’s briefs off. When he reached between his legs and slid down to touch him, he groaned. “So when you said you were ready to have sex?”
“I meant I was ready.” Katsuki gave a smug smile.. “All prepped and everything.” His confident voice slipped into a moan as Eijirou pressed against his already lubed up entrance. Katsuki reached under the pillow and procured a bottle of lube for Eijirou. “Good job, baby.” Ei murmured into his hair and he quickly wet his fingers to push inside.

Katsuki moaned. “It’s so - oh god it’s so much better when you do it.” His voice cracked as he grinded down on the fingers inside him. Now it was Ei’s turn to smirk as he scissored his fingers and sucked lightly in Katsuki’s neck. “You ready for me, sweetheart?”

The air turned silent and tense with arousal. Katsuki licked his lips and looked Ei up and down before nodding. His hands wrapped around Eijirou’s shoulders and a guttural groan ripped from his throat as Ei carefully pushed inside. He breathed heavily and bent his body over Katsuki’s. “Oh my god. I can’t believe I’m inside you right now.” He tried to catch his breath, but was too overwhelmed by the feeling of their bodies being joined together so perfectly.

A hand reached up and wiped away a tear Eijirou didn’t realize had fallen down his cheek. “Shoulda done this a long time ago, yeah?”
Ei kissed the palm of Katsuki’s hand and smiled. “Nah. This moment right here? It’s perfect. Wouldn’t change a damn thing, Katsuki.” He kissed the tip of his nose and thrust in and out gently, letting his lover get used to him. Katsuki held on tight, eyes closing, mouth open in ecstasy. “Fuck! Ok holy shit you’re right. This is so perfect.” He writhed on Ei’s cock, gasping and praising how good he felt so deep inside.

The room warmed, and the bedframe rocked against the wall behind them. Eijirou took his time making love to Katsuki. And when it was time, they came together, lips an inch apart as they moaned each other’s names over and over. Katsuki fell to the pillows, turned to his side and latched on as quickly as Ei collapsed next to him.

Once they caught their breaths, Katsuki leaned over and kissed Ei slowly, too wrapped up in the moment to hear his bedroom door open to reveal Shinso, his long forgotten coffee date, who decided to take a stroll over to see why his friend didn’t show up to their daily get together. He grasped a hand to his chest dramatically, pointed an accusing finger and shouted mockingly “Kissed! Kissed on the lips, Baku!”

Thankfully Shinso’s skills as a pro hero helped him duck out of the way of the flying bottle of lube that Katsuki tried to pelt him with. He ran out the front door laughing menacingly, calling his boyfriend’s phone and screeching about the news of their friends.

Shinso was also lucky, Ei surmised, that Baku turned out to be easily distracted from his angry vengeance once he pulled him close and started to kiss all over his neck. “You can go get him if you want.” Ei whispered innocently as his hand began to stroke Katsuki.
“Not -mmm- not w-worth it.” He gasped.
Eijirou chuckled deeply and slid between his legs once more. “Good boy.”
