Gura cracked her eyes open, roused from her sleep at the rocking motions from next to her on the bed.(No, not that kind of rocking.) Confused, she lifted her head, and was met with quite a scene. (NO, NOT THAT KIND OF SCENE.)
Amelia was standing next to their bed, aggressively shaking Kiara’s shoulder, her hair still messed up from her sleep, a disgruntled expression on her face. Calliope was behind her, reaching over to poke repeatedly at Kiara’s stomach, the phoenix girl giving no reaction. Ina was sitting at the edge of the bed, a smile on her face at the trouble the others were having attempting to wake up their girlfriend.
“Well, this sure is a thing to wake up to.” Gura croaked, voice still deep from sleep. Amelia and Calliope stopped their movements to look towards Gura, Calliope waving a little. Ina chuckled.
“We’ve been trying to wake her up for 10 minutes at this point.” She explained, and Gura snorted.
“Ten minutes? How is she still asleep? I would have woken up the second any of you weirdos decided to touch me.” The shark girl spoke, crawling over to sit closer to the sleeping Kiara. The orange haired girl was sleeping just as peacefully as she normally was, even despite all the poking and prodding and shaking she was being subjected to.
“Gura can you help please we need her up in order to do our group collab later today.” Calliope spoke, before resuming her poking. Amelia slumped forward.
“Why the hell does Kiara get to sleep so well right now, I feel like I didn’t sleep at all last night!” She groaned out, sitting down next to the bed, at eye level with the sleeping beauty.
“I mean hey, Kiara deserves it. Especially with how hard she works every day, heheh~” Ina spoke up, her voice just as calming as ever. Gura smiled at that as Calliope nodded along while Amelia reluctantly agreed.
“Well I mean there’s one thing that could probably wake her up quickly.” Gura spoke, her voice dropping a bit. The other girls looked at her, all with a curious stare as to what that meant.
“Yeah me and Amelia said that about 7 minutes ago, good luck trying anything there.” Calliope deadpanned, shrugging her shoulders. Gura smirked, and slowly slid right behind Kiara, her breath hitting against the sleeping girl's neck. She opened her mouth slightly, running her tongue across her teeth for a quick moment.
And then she bit down, teeth sinking into flesh for a moment.
“AAAH??!~” Was the response from the now
very
awake phoenix, kicking her legs out suddenly, twisting slightly. (and almost hitting Ina in the process.) Gura let out a loud giggle, followed by a shriek when she was hit in the face with a pillow by Kiara.
“What the fuck Gura, why the hell did you do that?!” Kiara shouted, her face blazing red along with the feathers that hung behind her ears. Amelia was laughing from the side as well, Calliope and Ina trying desperately to muffle their giggles at the chaotic scene. Gura smirked, answering in a teasing voice.
“Well excuseee me, but we were trying to wake you up for a bit, but when you kept sleeping soundly like a little baby, I decided to use my superior skills as the solution to wake you up! Hehehh~” Kiara glared at Gura, smoke rising from her hair, indicating embarrassment.
“Man, fuck you guys! What’s a girl gotta do to get a bit of extra sleep around here??” Kiara whined loudly, letting herself sink back into her blankets, which caused Ina to lift them up again, tapping Kiara on the forehead.
“Hey, no more sleeping, c’mon, we gotta get ready for the collab we scheduled for later today. Kiara pouted, crossing her arms with a huff as she let Ina take the blankets off of her fully.
“Glad to see you’re in the land of the living again, Kusotori.~ And just as angry as ever!” Calliope teased, a stupid grin on her face as Kiara looked over to her.
“Liebling, I love you, but I will not hesitate to fucking throw this damn pillow at your fucking face right now.” Kiara growled, which caused Calliope to let out a chuckle, moving to stretch a bit before announcing.
“I’m gonna go make us all something to eat maybe? Unless y’all wanna order something online, which is fine by me.” Kiara perked up, a devious smile crossing her face for a moment.
“I dunno, shark sounds like a very tasty meal right about now~ ” She purred, hand slowly reaching over to Gura’s, tracing light patterns on her arm. Her face mere inches away from Gura’s, eyes just as piercing as ever, as her lips barely brushed against hers. The Atlantean shivered a bit, before lifting her suddenly weak feeling arms and pushing Kiara slightly, giving her space to breathe.
“D-Don’t be a jerk.” She choked out, her face sufficiently warm by now. Kiara giggled a bit, before lifting her arms over head and stretching her back. A loud pop echoed and she sighed in relief, swinging her legs over the bed to stand up, leaving a flustered Gura in her wake.
“Here Calli, I’ll help you make something if you want!” She suggested, and Calliope nodded, grabbing her hand and walking over to the doorway, followed by Ina and Amelia. Gura, still red in the face, stayed in bed for a moment longer, before Kiara called out.
“Oi, Gura, we have a stream later today, come on out and stop being such a lazy ass!~” The teasing was evident, and Gura scoffed, letting out a ‘Hey!’ as she quickly jumped from the bed to chase after the others, tail wagging wildly behind her.
Soon, the Myth household was full of cheerful laughter and conversations that would only get better as the day went by. Another normal morning in the house of immortals and their favorite human. And the rest of the day went as peaceful as ever.
Well. Until the stream happened and the chat was all asking about what happened to Kiara’s neck. Gura simply giggled a bit, mentioned a ‘dangerous encounter with sea life’ and left it at that, making the other girls laugh and Kiara to throw a chip at her hair. The chat seemed to enjoy it though.
Overall, Gura was happy to live in such a normal yet not-normal household, every day was just as fun as the last. She looked over at Kiara and smiled, before putting all her attention back to the game in front of her.
Today was a good day indeed.
