"Yuuji!! Come on! Let's go swimming!" She said as she ran towards the ocean.
"Yuuji! Look how cute!" She squealed looking at the kitten through the pet store window.
"Yuuji! I love you!" She exclaimed proudly while waving to the camera.
Itadori watched these videos over and over as he lay in bed drowning in his own thoughts. He was in love with the perfect girl. The only first year girl besides Kugisaki. It was love at first sight and he's followed her like a little puppy since day one.
She was warm and kind and everything he wanted. Everything he needed. She didn't care about the whole Sukuna situation and she would even scold Sukuna for interrupting them. He was addicted.
There was just one problem.
Can he really love her?
He's thought about this over and over and both outcomes end with him having regrets. If he breaks up with her he'll hurt her now and he'll regret not spending his life loving her, but it does give her the opportunity to move on and find someone who'll be there for her. However if he stays with her.. she could leave him for someone else. She could break his heart. Maybe the worst thing of all could be her still loving him when he's executed. He doesn't want her to go through that. He wants her to find someone she can grow old with.
After pondering on this into the early hours of the morning, he had made his decision. He was going to break up with her. He wanted her to move on and be happy even if that means not being with her anymore. Tears welled up in the poor boy's eyes as he thought about not being able to kiss her anymore or call her sweet little nicknames. But they could still be friends right? It's not like he had to completely leave everyone he cared about. He knew she would understand why.

"I- I don't understand, Yuuji.. why?" Tears were already threatening to spill and your voice trembled.
He smiled sympathetically.
"I'm doing this for you, (Y/N).. You deserve someone who'll be able to guarantee a future of happiness. I can't do that.."
He grasped your hands and smiled the smile you fell in love with at the very start.
"So please find someone who you'll want to be with and can be with for as long as possible!"
You no longer held back as the tears fell freely.
"But I don't want someone else! I want you! I want Yuuji Itadori! Curses and all! Please Yuuji!" You sobbed as you begged him not to break up with you.
"Yuuji you make me happy! You make me so happy I want to spend all the time I can with you! Please!" You practically screamed as you sobbed. Still grasping his hands like a lifeline.
Yuuji placed one last kiss on your forehead. It was longer than usual. Almost like he was trying to convince himself he was doing the right thing.
When he pulled away he wiped your eyes.
A small, sad smile was all that held back his tears.
"I'm sorry.. but I can't love you…"
