"P-please don't hurt me..."

Hulk caught the slight stutter in Loki's quiet plea, pausing to take in the sight of the god. Unlike their previous encounter, where Loki stood up arrogantly against him, this Loki was cowering on the floor, afraid of him, shaking terribly and incredibly pale. His breathing came out fast and labored, and he looked like he was bracing himself for the beating of his life.

The Hulk groaned. "Puny god," He muttered, gently lifting the ravenette. Loki yelped, holding on tightly as Hulk brought them both to the bed.

Loki's heart hammered in his chest as the Hulk laid down on the bed with Loki on his chest. "You're not going to hurt me?" Loki asked in that same tiny voice. The Hulk huffed, choosing to rub a finger over Loki's head.

"Puny god is puny. Too puny to smash," The Hulk replied, and then closed Loki's eyes with his finger. "Sleep."

Loki tried willing himself to calm down, and soon enough both he and Hulk were sound asleep where they lay.

Bruce woke up with a heavy weight on his chest. He peeled his eyelids open to find Loki on his chest, arms wrapped around Bruce's clothless body. Bruce groaned, gently shaking Loki. "Wake up Lokes."

Loki woke up with a groan. "Five more minutes," He murmured, tightening his hold against Bruce.

"I was Hulk, wasn't I? I need you to tell me what happened."

Loki's eyes shot open, remembering yesterday. "Oh, right. After you insisted on cleaning up that broken mug, you had turned into the Hulk. It insisted on me sleeping on top of him because I'm apparently too puny to smash."

"... Alright, well, can you get off of me?" Bruce asked. Loki slowly unwrapped his arms from around Bruce and when he tried to get up, he found that his legs felt numb and like jelly. Loki fell onto the floor with a loud thud that had Bruce immediately sitting up and asking, "Are you okay?"

"Yep, just, gimme a few minutes," Loki dragged himself to sit up against the wall, not wanting to push his legs into standing up just yet.

"... Hulk really scared you, huh?"

"He took out my spine once before, I thought he was going to do it again," Loki hissed, rubbing his thigh. "...I'm okay, though. No one got hurt, in the end. Just, next time, please ask me to clean something up if it breaks. Okay?"

Bruce nodded. "Alright. I will."

Loki was able to stand up five minutes later, but his legs were shaky and he ended up flopping against the bed. Bruce just decided to help him lay on the bed, against his side.

"Guess this means more sleep for me, huh?" Loki murmured. He snuggled up against Bruce's side, closing his eyes so that he didn't have to look at the other's expression.

"... You're kind of like a cat, always snuggling up to my side," Bruce commented, laughing softly at the wrinkling of Loki's nose.

"Hiss hiss motherfucker."

Bruce ended up laughing and wheezing for the next ten minutes after that statement, and soon enough the both of them fell back asleep with their limbs tangled together.
