Some stories don’t end when the screen fades to black: they linger, they echo, they stay. And for me, Kurama and Botan from YuYu Hakusho have been that story.

I’ve been an avid Kurama x Botan shipper since 2008 (or maybe even longer than that). It began as curiosity that turned into years of quiet obsession: rereading the same fics, rewatching the same scenes from the Anime series and OVAs, purchasing KuraBo doujinshi collections from Japan, searching for that spark, that almost, that what if. Because there’s something about them that feels unfinished in the most beautiful way. Like a story that was never fully told, but always meant to be.

Kurama is calm, brilliant, and guarded. Botan is bright, warm, and full of life. On the surface, they seem like opposites. But look a little closer, and there’s a balance there, a pull, a quiet understanding that feels deeper than words. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

For years, I stayed a reader. Consuming every story I could find here and there, feeling every interpretation, every possibility. But some stories don’t let you stay on the sidelines forever. So now, I write about these two. I write the moments that could have been. The glances that linger a second too long. The conversations that say everything without saying anything. The slow, inevitable kind of love that doesn’t demand attention but quietly, undeniably grows.

My stories lean into romance, emotional depth, softness, and longing. The kind of connection that feels both gentle and intense at the same time. The kind that makes you ache in the best way. If you’ve ever believed there was something more between them, then you already understand why I’m here. And just maybe, we’ve been waiting for the same story after all.
