I've been on FanFiction.net for a long time, but with the recent breakdown of analytics there, I'm finally coming to AO3. It'll take me some time to get used to the layout.
I've been writing fanfiction since before there was a place to put it on the internet. Not wads of it, but a little here and there. I love stories and especially the characters that live through them. I could actually say a fair bit about why I like this character or that, but not just now I guess. I'll be posting most of my things from FanFiction.net here too, so no need to run over there necessarily.
When I write fanfiction, it's generally because I see a gap in the canon story that begs to be filled, though I'm not completely immune to plot bunnies. I don't have betas, but I love comments!
I am willing to be a beta, especially if you're writing in a universe that I know. The universes I know tend to be older ones, though... I think the newest show I've ever written for is White Collar, and that is VERY new compared to most of what I know.
