Summary
My take on the next generation of Persona, to a degree. Main cast of characters are completely original, though a few characters/things from P3/4/5 will make an appearance.
Not prewritten, but mostly planned out, mostly. I've had this story and these characters in my head for a while now and just kind of had to start writing it down
Also, can't believe I'm saying this, but this was written before the P6 reveal so nothing from there will be relevant at all.
I have not written anything like this before, so if this turns out bad feel free to yell at me.

Jax abstracted, but she knows the truth. Her mind in the real world was copied into the circus as a file, and all abstracted people are corrupted files. Caine settles by making an aquarium for all abstracted brain flies, and pomni would visit everyday. She could tell who Jax was every time. One day, Caine found out he could recover new corrupted files, which was Jax. He could join the circus again, but. His memories would be completely brainwashed. And they could only be recovered, by spending time with all those people in the memories. It was up to pomni, to help him the most.

And it hurt when every single time the voice on the other end belonged to anyone else.
All he could manage was a terse nod. She seemed fine with waiting him out while he tried to catch his breath, adjusting the thin gold band of her wristwatch and jotting down a couple of notes. When he spoke again, she set her pen down and met his level stare with one of her own.
“I keep looking for him around corners. I jump when my phone rings.” Dean dug his blunt fingernails into his palm while cold rage trickled and pooled in his middle. “He should be here to deal with the stupid shit he said to me before he died.”
