“I’ll get you a chain. Or a bracelet. We could even spell a pocket to follow you from sweater to sweater.”
Remus slips the ring on. He puts it on the finger where it fits best. He meets James’s eyes, daring him to say anything.
James has always called Remus’s bluff. “He would hate this. You making yourself miserable for him.”
Sod the well-meaning guilt trip, and sod his therapist’s long-term agenda.
“Then he’ll have to tell me so himself. Until then, squatter’s rights.”
“I don’t think an engagement ring goes by squatter’s—”
“Squatter’s rights,” Remus says firmly. The light catches his ring as he points at James. “If he does come back, don’t tell him I stole my engagement ring.”

It must’ve just happened because there was no warning of a red flag. He’d slammed into his car head-on, managing somehow to only break an ankle and pull a few muscles. That had been the end of his contention for the 2025 championship.

Wooyoung didn’t mean to end up in this situation, He really really didn’t, all he wanted to do was clear his head and who could blame him! San was getting on his nerves and Yeosang was away on his heavenly duties or whatever, so he had no one to vent his frustrations to, of course he left! It wasn’t supposed to be dangerous, just a quick (not so) trip to a forest he had been dying to visit for years.
The travel there was barely a day and it would’ve been less if Wooyoung wasn’t dragging his feet, and how could he know there were rather aggressive, territorial animals living there!? He was supposed to have a way with the beasts being a green witch and all but he honestly didn’t and that wasn’t his fault either! He just had… other specialities- like cooking!
He just needed to find a cave or a fairy den… just somewhere to spend the night so he wouldn’t get eaten alive by the animals lurking in the shadows.
Fuck he wished San was here.
