Bucky had never been a selfish guy. Loyal to his cause, his business, his friend. He’d simpered and pranced around earlier this week, shaking hands with the right people, making the wrong people respect their authority by buying into the right markets, corrupting the right officials, and his business here was wrapped up by noon every day, and so in theory, his work here should be done.
And yet.
A set of steady eyes settles on him from the middle of the room.
The stage. Usually, he’d pick this time to scan the establishment, plan out several escape plans to mitigate the risks of potentially being caught by the authorities, make sure there's no correlation between this presence and any other mob movement he was involved with earlier this week.
But Bucky's not worried. He knows this pair of honey brown eyes.
This was why he lingered.
He won’t admit it, but Bucky’s developed a bit of a bad habit.

Bucky hates the way Sam looks at him when he says it.
Like all the want in the world resides in his eyes.
“I. I– I can’t.” He whispers into Bucky’s hair and yet Bucky feels him nodding along to every word Bucky’s saying.
The damn thing refuses to be honest with himself and it’s driving him crazy. Or maybe it’s the way he keeps shoving Bucky’s dick back inside him every time it slips out, like he actually is hungry for it. He can’t tell, he’s too overwhelmed with pleasure.
“I can’t just uproot my whole life, can I?” Sam pants like he’s trying to convince himself more than Bucky.
“Yes, you,” Bucky fucks like he’s insisting, “can.” He emphasizes, nailing him with an isolated forceful thrust, hitting Sam’s sweet spot particularly hard, enforcing his message so well that Sam can’t even sit upright, he’s drooling into Bucky’s hair—
“You feel this too, don’t you?” Bucky continues desperately, picking up the pace. “Won’t let you find shit like this elsewhere, baby. I’ll kill them if they try and get their hands on you. Anyone. I’ll kill them.” He bites out possessively, pulling Sam tight against him. It feels so good there’s tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
