Especially about Simon’s religious cult upbringing — if he had known about that, he maybe could have planned a better-worded greeting that wasn’t basically, “Be Not Afraid.” He really set them up for failure with that one.

Summary
Sharing a room with Ray isn’t new. Ray and Gerard room together pretty frequently, they all room together pretty frequently. Hell, they were practically piled on top of each other when they were living out of that van, having a bus with bunks let alone a hotel room is a massive improvement, really.
It’s just… Things have felt a little different with Ray recently. A little weird. Maybe a little flirty. Gerard’s not an idiot, and Ray isn’t subtle. Vice versa. There are glances that last a little too long, looks of understanding, touches on hands and shoulders and backs that feel burned into Gerard’s skin, big smiles from jokes that really aren’t that funny… it’s a lot.
Again, Gerard isn’t stupid. They know this isn’t nothing, they aren’t just making this up in their head.
