He was cut off as a loud thud made him jump. For a brief second, an inhuman hand pressed against the glass. It had five long, thin fingers, with thin membranes stretching between each to make it webbed.
Grace gulped.

The creature screeched so shrill and loud, it made Phainon jolt.
Underneath a pile of struggling human bodies was a half-human, half-fish creature pressed to the cold, harsh cement floors. A tail of the most beautiful iridescent seafoam green, with long hair pooling by the sides of a lithe torso. Webbed claws dug into the cement, each limb held down by a colleague desperate to prevent the creature from making another attack.

Summary
The second Denki hits the icy water, he realises that he’s going to die.
The waves are dragging him down, and he feels water filling his lungs every time he tries to take a gulp of air. He desperately attempts to fight the waves, to claw his way out, but he feels like an anchor sinking down into the dark volatile waters, and for the first time in his life, he feels completely alone. The will to fight starts to leave him as his body temperature drops and more freezing water fills his lungs, the burning pain of not being able to breathe overwhelming him.
He closes his eyes for the last time as he’s pulled under the surface and loses himself to the sea.

Jason wasn’t used to strange mers in his space. This only partially had to do with being the biggest and meanest mer in his territory. It mostly had to do with his territory being so toxic even the King of Atlantis could barely tolerate it. He wished he could say it was surprising when a mer showed up from the city, but Gotham was a hell scape rife with trafficking of all things, including people.
This new mer didn’t die though, and that sparked Jason’s interest.

A glimpse of pink hair, a hint of something gray in the edge of his vision, a peek of white. He's starting to think he's already hallucinating from the lack of oxygen when, suddenly, strong arms wrap around him from behind.
He's spun around, suddenly staring into the face of one Yuuji Itadori. He must already be dead, then. He's dead, and this is heaven.
(Aka, Mer!Yuuji and Sailor!Megumi (who are also childhood friends) meet again after years apart, though not under the best of conditions. They make it work anyway, even if the whole thing is a little rocky, and despite the fact that even their past friendship— let alone whatever they have going on now— could cause a major political meltdown. Hope nobody finds out!)

Orphaned young, he grew up shunned by the townsfolk after an incident that claimed their beloved church was linked back to the miracle which had saved him. He should have drowned, but instead, washed up on the shore with only a remnant patch of scaly skin to show for it. The nightmares which plagued him were normal for a boy so young, and the visions that came to him were surely just his overactive imagination.
His thoughts on the matter changed after he fished up an invaluable object, over a decade later, which changed his view of the town and the people within.
