"Please, don't leave me here! At least tell me what I have to do to get out!!" Even as she screamed this, she felt as though she were merely whispering. There was no air to carry her hoarse voice to the woman standing on the edge of the cliff before her.
Brown hair nearly covered the woman's entire back, her iron armor—bearing a specific symbol—was drenched in blood, and her sword was dripping with it. Her back was toward the cliff as she stepped backward at a steady pace, a ghost of a smile on her face. Her lips moved as if she were saying something, though no sound came out.
"Wait! Hold on!!" the girl screamed at the woman again. Terror began to paint itself across her features as she tried to stand up from where she was, but it was as if she were pinned to the ground; her feet wouldn't move. She tried again, and again, and again.
Until the woman’s foot reached the very edge of the abyss. She threw her sword toward the girl, and it landed halfway between them. Once more, the woman’s lips formed silent words.
