Summary
Charles gave BJ’s shoulder what he guessed might be intended as a reassuring squeeze, but it did the opposite-BJ was startled and alarmed. Why was Charles trying to reassure him? He instinctively leaned away from the hand while trying not to move his head, as Charles, Lieutenant Epps, and Father Mulcahy appeared to have a brief conversation. They all looked slightly troubled, especially Father Mulcahy, whose eyebrows were knit tightly together, a hand wrapped around his rosary. ... God, this was infuriating, BJ thought, wishing he could understand what they were saying.

Basically, what if it was BJ who lost his hearing in Goodbye, Farewell and Amen?

Summary
After all, the 4077th looks the same as it always has from the outside, but beneath the canvas roofs, the status quo is beginning to fracture. It all starts with a single conversation Major Houlihan has with Corporal Klinger while watching Hawkeye deal with the ungrateful Colonel Tim Spiker.
Because now, the clock has finally stopped resetting. Hawkeye and Margaret stop looking for love across the world and start looking at each other, and Charles Emerson Winchester III arrives early, changing the dynamics for Hawkeye, Margaret, BJ, and Frank Burns in ways nobody anticipated.

This is a dumping point for various starts I made over the years for other fandoms. It is mainly some Star Trek stuff but other ideas may turn up as I found one of my old hard drives from yesteryear cleaning out the storage building.

Summary
Apparently, being in the middle of getting a degree to become a doctor doesn't protect you from the draft. Maybe it was because she became a nurse first with the plan to work her way up from there, but hell, she wanted to land a job decent enough to help pay her way through school. None of that matters now. 19-years old and being shipped off from Maine to an active warzone to work at a MASH with nothing but a few belongings and a photo of the father she never met. Maybe if she was lucky, she would end up at the same place as her dad... whoever he is...

Summary
“When I got the notice for the draft board, I knew–well, I thought I knew–what it entailed,” Hawkeye said, words cracking with subdued emotion. “War meant death, right? Blood and gore, loss, bombs and bullets, death and…more death. So much death.”
B.J. stayed quiet, throat tight and eyes misty.
“It was supposed to be me, Beej,” Hawkeye went on, voice jagged like broken glass. “I got the notice, I was going to this stupid war, this goddamned police action. Where’s the justice in this? The fairness of it all? If one of us had to die, why couldn’t it…why couldn’t it have been me? ”A call from the States, an unexpected death, the ensuing fallout, a different end to the war. Or, better yet, an excuse to put my favorite surgeons through the emotional wringer for a bit of fun.

Summary
Hawkeye isn't used to being "the best."
'Good', certainly. 'Top of the pack', he's familiar with. 'One of the best', an honor that's been bestowed on him a time or two before. But to be "the best," and especially in this nightmare of a hospital? Where boys pour off of stretchers and into their operating room by the dozens, by the hundreds it sometimes feels like. Coming in with the worst wounds Hawkeye has ever seen in his life, and somehow, he just keeps stitching them back together. They all do.

Summary
I went to the tags page, hit random (several times), and selected 20 that caught my eye for whatever reason. I then had those 20 mixed around to make 5 sets of 4 tags each.
The rules:
1. I had to use ALL 4 tags in each set — no skipping ones that didn't fit.
2. No rearranging or switching tags between sets.
3. Whatever I got was it.
4. Then I let my muse take over. This is a multi-fandom piece. I marked the fandom in each title so you can easily jump to the ones that interest you most. But feel free to read everything too!
Now with added summaries for each piece.
