Summary
June 12, 1993: Jurassic Park lies in ruins. Dinosaurs now roam Isla Nublar freely, and the survivors have narrowly escaped death. John Hammond’s dream is shattered.
Hours later, Biosyn, InGen’s rival, sends a mercenary team to recover the embryos stolen by the missing Dennis Nedry and sabotage the park to destroy its prehistoric inhabitants.
Months after the incident, life has indeed found a way. The lysine contingency fails, allowing dinosaurs not only to survive but to breed, creating a thriving ecosystem without human interference. But this balance is short-lived.
A surge in volcanic activity from Mount Sibo, dormant for 500 years, threatens the island. The Costa Rican Institute of Volcanology confirms an imminent eruption. With the dinosaurs facing extinction again, Hammond, joined by Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, launches a desperate rescue mission to save the creatures before disaster strikes.

A self-insert into Jurassic Park/World. There will be little to no connection to the canon events of the movies, you have been warned. Author's first animal love was dinosaurs, this fic should have been started years back. Some dinosaur references will be taken from the Ludia games, some will be taken from books (author owns far too many dinosaur books), and others might be made up (who knows?).

In the age of genetic engineering not only contemporary animals have the potential to be a invasive species.
Nearing the completion of what will be it's crown jewel, Jurassic Park, International Genetics Incorporated can't risk any accidents involving the 'assets' of the park. InGen also can't risk the 'assets' endangering the guests and when a group of 'assets' threatens to do excatly that they can't just leave it unsupervised.
The only problem is the biggest portion of InGen's researchers aren't on Isla Nublar the next few weeks and the matter is urgent, they HAVE to be transported to the mainland then.
It's a new field for both the crew and the whole company and so Malcolm obviously is proven right again.

In 2004, Masrani Global started asset retrieval from Isla Sorna to the new park on Isla Nublar.
Caitlyn and Vi were hired to lead the first trip of retrieving and transporting the dinosaurs from Sorna to Nublar.

In 1993, Isla Pena, which had never been populated by humans, was officially abandoned by InGen. It had previously been used as a dumping ground for the Jurassic Park rejects, the unstable clones.
In 2025, a crew is formed, with the goal of going to the now strictly off-limits Isla Sorna to collect DNA samples and develop a cure for heart disease. When they veer off course to save a family in danger and are attacked by a Mosasaurus, they are forced to abandon ship and wash up on Isla Pena. With no known dinosaur activity on the island, they have nothing to worry about, right?
