Summary
Miles is 5 when his mother puts him into a deep black suit and knotted tie, the last moment he remembers his father—-large and warm—-before he forgets what his father’s smile looks like, before he forgets him as anything but the photos in his mother’s blue scrapbooks. He tries to find his father somewhere in the back of his mind, in the world, even now when he has an odd, geneticist step-father and a soccer-obsessed half-sister who both can barely stand to glance at him while his mother works too late nights at the hospital, coming back worn and seconds away from crumbling. Brooklyn burns, days bleeding into years, one corrupt politician after another while violence rages on and on until a weirdo in navy blue spandex shows up.
The next time Miles wears a black suit, it is of his own volition. A Spider decorates the front.

As the two probably only ones that have experienced the true weight and responsibility of the world countless times simultaneously at the same age, their presences clash with each other. And naturally with their intuition and skill honed after years, suspicion rises between them.

Miles and Ganke are the nerdy kids, usually staying at the back of the crowd. Miles used to be popular just like Natalie before he moved schools, but in Brooklyn Vision Academy, everything flipped on him. Now he's not (is) envious of Natalie. She's the definition of a popular girl, or that's what Ganke and Miles think. A month before school ends, posters cover the walls of Brooklyn, spewing some government propaganda that was just painfully obvious. The next day was the first case of a zombie outbreak. Lower Arizona was in flames, and it moved it's way up. Most people thought they'd be fine. A week later, it's Ganke, Miles, and Natalie stuck in Visions, fighting off zombies with their textbooks.

An out-of-season snowstorm catches New York’s Spider-Men off guard. What begins as a routine patrol ends with Peter and Miles facing something that goes far beyond the cold: instincts, reactions they can’t fully explain, and a bond that starts to change in unexpected ways.
Latency is a collection of fragments where the Spider-Sense sharpens, the body moves before the mind can follow, and the connection between both Spider-Men evolves in unpredictable directions. There’s no straight line—only moments suspended between calm and chaos, between duty and instinct.
The original version of this story is written in Spanish, but I wanted to share it in English as well. English chapters will be uploaded two at a time, so the Spanish version will update first.
Updates will be sporadic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going, but I’m completely incapable of writing short stories, so knowing myself, a plot will probably show up eventually. Or maybe—who knows?—this could be the first time I actually finish one. Hope’s the last thing to go, after all.

Latencia es una colección de fragmentos donde el sentido arácnido se intensifica, el cuerpo reacciona antes que la mente, y la conexión entre ambos Spider-Men evoluciona de formas inesperadas. No hay una línea recta, solo momentos entre la calma y el caos, entre el deber y el instinto.
pd: actualizaciones esporádicas, no tengo ni idea de a donde quiero llegar con esto pero soy completamente incapaz de hacer historias cortas asi que conociéndome a medida que escriba surgirá una trama, o quien sabe?, puede que sea la primera vez que termine una historia, la esperanza es lo ultimo que se pierde
