“Dude, you are so cool.” The guy shook his head and offered Pidge a fist bump. She conceded for no other reason than she was pretty sure that if she didn’t that the guy might die of heartbreak. A couple of the boy’s friends nodded at her.
This was so profoundly weird. She had figured she would get picked on as a guy – not promoted to the top of the food chain. Matt would be so jealous. Really, there were only three logical explanations for the whole scenario. Option One: Her third-grade teacher was wrong and she had killer acting skills. Option Two: She made a better boy than she did girl. Option Three: She was surrounded by idiots.
Judging by milk chugging contest going on next to her… She was going to have to go with option three.

“Not now George!” Lance shouted, pointing at the cashier. “This is ridiculous. Your country is in shambles and you are letting this happen?!”
“It’s kind of always been this way, dude.”
“Just because that is how it’s always been does not give us the right to ignore evil in the world, George.” Lance said and maybe it was because he was working off of three hours of sleep, but he was not willing to let this go “No. You have to take a stand. You have to wake up each morning and look at yourself in the mirror and think ‘what kind of person will I be today?’ before facing the life that was given to you! You have to decide what you’ll fight for, George. What you are willing to die for!” He yelled, slamming his hand down on the belt “And you know what? This isn’t right! This is an injustice. I should be able to go to the goddamn store, see some shitty coffee, and be able to buy it at the price it says without worrying about factoring in some nonsense numbers!” He let out a deep breath. “We deserve better.”
George blinked slowly.
“So… Cash or card?”

“Hey, Shiro I’m taking the bike out!” He called, dumping his bag in his room and tearing off his uniform.
“Do your homework first!” Shiro yelled from the kitchen and Keith silently cursed. He slipped on his black t-shirt, tossing the Garrison’s orange disaster of clothing on the ground.
“I don’t have any.” He lied, almost falling over in an effort to get his jeans on faster. After wrestling for a couple minutes to get them on he laid on the ground, staring at the ceiling. The door opened and Shiro looked down at him blankly.
“You don’t have any.” He repeated, voice completely deadpanned. Keith frowned. He liked to think he was a pretty good liar, but Shiro didn’t look even the slightest bit convinced. Did people in the Garrison have homework everyday or something? “Keith, I’m your fucking teacher. I assigned the homework.”
Oh. Right.

It’s not a piano, because they’re on an alien planet, and that would be insane and ridiculous. But it looks like a piano, like someone tried to draw it from memory and added a few embellishments and alterations of their own. The keys are basically the same, if not oddly shaped and colored, and although the format is different, the general idea is unmistakable.
This is a musical instrument with keys that can be pressed and strings that are hit for sound. It is, technically, a piano.

“We’ve met,” Lance said politely.
Shiro looked at him in surprise.
Keith nodded towards Lance. “This is Pool Guy.”
Shiro’s eyebrows rose in realization as he looked between the two of them. Keith glared daggers at Lance as Lance tried to look as innocent and sweet as possible.
Shiro snorted.
“God, this is going to be a good summer.”When Lance caught a glimpse of his new neighbor’s brother visibly flinching away from the sun, he thought it was a little funny. When he realized that prickly egomaniac thought the entirety of summer was overrated, he decided that someone had to do something. Someone is him. It’s Lance inserting himself into another person’s business. Again. Maybe this time it won’t blow up in his face.
Alternatively, the author of Silver Bells has returned with another collaborative fic! Lance is determined to show Keith that summer is not as awful as he thinks. Through activities and adventures of your choosing, he may just prove Keith wrong. And maybe they will fall a little bit in love along the way.
