September cautiously peered around Halloween's rooms in Fairyland Below. Of course, when she had been there years ago, before she became the Green Wind, she hadn't been able to take in the palace, much less her counterpart shadow's rooms. And they were fine rooms, built of shadow of gold leaf and plaster and wood, with furniture the likes of which she had never seen in Nebraska or all Fairyland.

My heart hurt for my friend and his suffering, and I devoted myself towards his care as his physician and friend.
