Summary
Shakily, Tim slowly lowered himself on his knees. So maybe the ice wasn’t as sturdy as he originally thought. He would be fine.
Just as he placed his hands on the freezing surface of the ice, it cracked again. Before Tim could even register the loud cracking of the ice, it splintered and he fell through with a surprised gasp before everything became white. He heard Jason shout his name as thousands of icy needles of freezing water stung every part of his body.
He was fully submerged and the world went from frigid blue sky to half-frozen green waters.

Tim always carried pepper spray with him — always. Living in a city like Gotham, that was practically a given.
It was especially necessary when one was ten years old and currently sneaking around in the shadows of the night.
Something touched his shoulder, and on reflex, Tim pulls the trigger, before he can catch sight of green pixie boots.
Oh no!
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Mister Robin, Sir! Are you all right?”
“What the fu- I mean frick, kid?”

It’s almost eerie how much these nights mirror each other. Only this time Tim’s pepper spray is joined by a knife.
But it’s not Robin he attacks this time, it’s a weird guy in a red helmet, and the spray can do nothing against that!
Tim is sure he’s never seen helmet-guy before, so why does he know Tim’s name and insists on helping him out?
Or: Tim goes out at night to take photos of the Bat’s. Twice, he meets Jason. Only once, is it Robin. But Jason’s suddenly two feet taller and wearing a red helmet. Something’s clearly wrong here.

[Has been updated 24/07/24 so I suggest re-reading the first chapter] Ra's is dead. The Batfamily is there to witness it. But before he dies, Ra's leaves a chilling message for the Detective which doesn't seem completely right. Only Tim understands fully, and he wishes he didn't.

Summary
When Bruce’s kids end up on the Watchtower due to a set of unforeseen circumstances, Jason first tries to get the League to believe that they’re all biologically related to Bruce. He tries to avoid having Jason give everyone a sex talk by reminding him that he’s adopted. This leads to all his kids pretending that this is the first time they’ve heard of it, much to the horror of the League and the exasperation of Bruce.
